Congratulations to msu
As much as I hate it, Dantonio is an incredible coach. 2 conference titles in the last 4 years, a 12 win season this year. Sparty No is dead. The Spartans are not going away.
Dantonio and Urban will be equally as hard to defeat for the near future.
Thank you for shutting up osu, though.

Just a great game to watch. Was torn on who to root for, but can begrudginly give Sparty props, they had every reason to fold when Ohio scored 24 staight points and stepped it up and dug deep and won. Congrats Sparty, little Brother is dead forever.

I mean, they were one of the lowest ranked 1 loss teams and pkayed nobody in their OOC schedule in a weak B1G
December 8th, 2013 at 1:21 AM ^
Had they been undefeated, they would have been no lower than 5th (undefeated below a disrespected Mizzou?) and would have jumped to 2nd with the victory over OSU.

Idont know or interact with Sparty's on a daily basis (benefit of an out of state student), so this is awesome for me personally.
I think Dantonio is an amazing coach who hss a terrible personslity, but is a better coach than Saban. I hope Borges was watching these games and learned something yodsy, because we are light years away.

Which according to my calculations, takes 365 days.

Gotta hand it to them, they took full advantage of the situation at their rivals, developed the talent they were able to play an aggressive style of defense. I don't like some of their on field behavior sometimes, but that defense is legitimately scary. Their offense does enough to win and is low variance, which is exactly what you want to pair with the D. Given the choice between MSU and Ohio, MSU was clearer the better and more deserving team.

They are doing now what Hoke wants to do in the future. Beyond it being MSU, I'm just glad to see it can work in this era of fast tempo high scoring spread teams.

for saving the nation from the sham that would have been, had Ohio made the NCG.
RE: Staee and the Rose Bowl, once every 26 years is plenty.

I find it hard to congratulate our Juggalo Overlords. I just can't do it... even if it means, being put to the sword.
December 8th, 2013 at 12:24 AM ^
So difficult to root for either state. But Narduzzi and Dantonio are total jackasses. It's very, very difficult to root or congratulate assholes who coach dirty. Fuck them both. Fuck both States.
December 8th, 2013 at 12:25 AM ^
You can respect MSU all you want. To start a post congratulating a RIVAL on anything is sad. I didn't follow sports to congratulate my rival at anything. I hate Ohio and MSU with a passion. What's wrong with me hating them. I don't root for them to get injured and I was upset when Dantonio had a heart attack. I am ashamed to see my fanbase act like it is right now.

I feel like maybe you're trying to compensate for something in your life that may be... um.. inadequate?
Hate is a pretty strong word. Maybe you need some perspective on what really matters. It's just football, man.
December 8th, 2013 at 1:23 AM ^
Okay, I think we all understand your feelings on this matter.
December 8th, 2013 at 12:25 AM ^
Those in this thread chastising others for giving MSU props need to step away from sports for a while. It's unhealthy to be bitter. Gain some perspective on life. Michigan will be back on top. No one said it was easy climbing back up the mountain.

Can you please explain what, "Michigan will be back on top", means? You'll have to refresh my memory. I don't remember that time very well.

So...does that mean that there never really was a chance that both teams could've lost?
December 8th, 2013 at 12:28 AM ^
Got to give it to them. Once every 25 years.

What ever. There are different types of fans. The ones that root for their rivals. The ones that hate their rivals. In a fanbase so large you're going to have a mixture of both. Go Blue win the bowl game.

Lol, it was incredibly entertaining watching your emotional development through the course of this thread. From spitting curse-laden insults, to crying out that you know the best way to act, to pleading with others to accept your point of view, to accepting that other people may have different views than your own.

The more confident and secure your two-year-old feels, the more independent and well behaved he’s likely to be. You can help him develop these positive feelings by encouraging him to behave more maturely. To do this, consistently set reasonable limits that allow him to explore and exercise his curiosity, but that draw the line at dangerous or antisocial behavior. With these guidelines, he’ll begin to sense what’s acceptable and what’s not. To repeat, the key is consistency. Praise him every time he plays well with another child, or whenever he feeds, dresses, or undresses himself without your help, or when you help him to start with the activity and he completes it by himself. As you do, he’ll start to feel good about these accomplishments and himself. With his self-esteem on the rise, he’ll also develop an image of himself as someone who behaves a certain way—the way that you have encouraged—and negative behavior will fade.

FWIW I wouldn't be making a thread for osu if they had won. I just feel like no matter what Dantonio does with so much less talent people still consider msu little brother and it's ridiculous. The guy is a tremendous coach. He just won 12 games and a big ten title mostly with guys that Michigan and OSU don't even consider. Coaching matters, and they have an excellent coach.

You don't have to defend yourself. MSU had an impressive, dominating season. That can be acknowledged on this board.
