Team 134 Captains -- Who Do You Have?
I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up on the board yet, but who do you have pegged as a captain for Team 134 next year? With Lewan coming back, my money would be on him being one of them. As for the other, it looks a little more up in the air. If I had to guess, it would be between Quinton Washington and Jeremy Gallon.
But who do you have?

At least looking at the list of redshirt junior and juniors would would most likely be in the position of becoming a captain, I would say the four most likely candidates are Lewan, Gallon, Gardner and Gibbons, as others have mentioned. Among that subset of the roster, those would be the players that stand out in my mind as having contributed the most in the way of leadership to this team. Among those who would be redshirt juniors or simply juniors, I have to think the pool includes Ryan, Morgan and Countess. There are several great choices here, I think.

Lewan is a lock. Gallon and Washington will be voted up as well.

Lewan, yeah, probably. Quite honestly though, there's more to being a captain than who we fans think happens to play the best on the field. It's about who leads in practices, who coaches the underclassmen, who gives it their all every day - as Bo once said, they "have to be me on the field." And frankly, only the coaches who are with the players every day know these things. There's more to a player than what they do on Saturday.

Im not real familare with practices, but are there any Seniors that may not start or even play but are excellent leaders? None of our stars on this years Basketball team are the Captain. Lewans a lock, but what about on defense?

Lewan, Gardner, Dileo, Gallon, gibbons, QWASH, and Thomas Gordon (who I think doesn't get enough credit) I think JMFR's time will come. I always like having the QB or Center as a captain, but I'd give offensive captain for Lewan. And then one of the two receivers. But knowing hoke it will be probably someone on Defense and Lewan/Garner. So who I want isn't necessarily who we'll get: Lewan, Gibbons, Gallon, and QWASH.

Fitz Toussaint, after he proves again why he deserves to be the starting tailback. The obviously Gardner, Lewan. Taking a leadership role on defense- Jibreel Black.

Lewan and Gallon -- if nothing else it might provide some comic relief to see one of the biggest guys on the team walk out with one of the smallest.

Screw the offense/defense split for captains; we need an alignment that properly defines or team's makeup.
G-Unit Captains
- Gardner
- Gallon
- Gibbons
- Gordon
Threats, MF'ers, and General Badass Captains
- Lewan
- Ryan
- Dileo
- Gibbons
That should cover it. Gibbons is just that good.
