Well, there is this one section, I can't remember which one, but I've heard there's this fellow who sits there who knows quite a bit about the Freep and RR. It might be fun to sit there.

My family is Section 2 and now there's a box in the extended family. I don't personally buy tickets anymore because, as I've been discovering, it's way cheaper to go alone.
Sections 1 and 2 are awesome for being on the 50, and for being near the tunnel, but behind the opponents' bench. I love watching the kids go down to greet the players, and it's a good place to be in the stadium early because all the who-dats congregate around the outside of the tunnel and you can get autographs.
Downsides of this side are the players run away from you when they touch the banner, the band faces away from you, and it's not as cool to be behind the opponents as Michigan.

But you do get a nice tan....

Student Section. Anywhere in there is good. Preferably right next to band, though.

In the student section...between Lloyd Brady and facepalm guy.

Good section to sit: Inside
Bad section to sit: Outside

it is priceless to see the guys coming toward you and the bench! Love sitting on the Michigan sideline and as close to the field as possible!

like a month ago on the board back near the beginning of the season? I feel like I've read this thread before.

Been a fan of the site since before the Horror, just never bothered to get involved in the boards until this fall. At the rate I post now though, I'd be over 10k points if I had started back then. Plus, it's so much fun, I wish I had started back then. Oh well.
As to the snark, I was born that way it just comes naturally!
And I did try to find the post earlier today so I could link to it to help out the OP but my office still uses IE 6 (ugh) and it wouldn't search right unfortunately. But now that I'm home and on Chrome, I found the thread I was talking about - and that one was what row actually, not what section, so my bad.

and have a few friends who will hand them over upon request which is nice. however, my end zone seats which i have had since the receding of the last glaciers which carved the great lakes are pretty good in two respects. they are only a few steps from the exit, which can be a huge convenience and time saver. more importantly, it is much easier to teach the game to my kids from that end zone perspective b/c it is much easier to point out the various alignments, shifts, line splits, etc.
will be coaching football in the rain tomorrow, but hopefully all of you that go to the game will be watching a michigan victory in the rain.

Like you, I've had my seats forever (since '80) in a similar location, conveniently located in the north end zone just 8 steps above the entrrance to section 36 right at the end of the aisle. Love those seats, as they're not only so convenient that I seldom miss more than a play or two for concessions and facilities, but the sight-lines are perfect for seeing those alignments, etc., that you noted.
As for those Love Seats between the 40's, though---I'm surprised Brandon doesn't have them removed as a) it would allow for a lot more paying customers to be squeezed into more conventional seating, and b) they have to be fire hazards anytime State has a game at The Big House.

Anyone from northwest ohio area that wants to go to the game? Seems everyone is busy tomorrow and I have no one to go with. (i have tickets) email me if interested [email protected]
edit: the tickets are now sold.

Definitely not Section 1 if you like to cheer, get up and be loud. Section 23 is where it's at. 50 yd line. Perfect.

ps - I'll be there Section 11, plenty good for any true Maize and Blue fan!

I'd HIGHLY recommend sitting either in section 34 or 12, at least halfway up, to get a different perspective on things, since you'd be sitting right in front of one of the scoreboards. These sections will allow you to see all the plays develop and see the holes open up at the same time Denard would. I had season tickets in 34 forever and I miss not sitting in those seats anymore.
