Nice work.

Respect it.

I've never been to ND stadium, but can someone tell me if that really is their scoreboard above the entrance please? If so, that thing is about the same size as my 60'' TV.
September 19th, 2012 at 2:29 PM ^
It is. In fact, it's a brand new scoreboard that they put up like 2 years ago.
Technology!
September 19th, 2012 at 2:37 PM ^
The only thing that is missing is a booth behind it for the dude to stand in with the number cards to change the score like they have at Wrigley.

Looks like it is held up by tent poles.
September 19th, 2012 at 3:40 PM ^
It's small and crappy and has advertising on it! The ND AD knocked that one out of the park.
September 19th, 2012 at 6:49 PM ^
Hey, that kinda looks like our scoreboards. No, not the ones we have now. The ones we had before. I mean... not the ones we had before the ones we have now. The ones we had before THAT. Looks like those.
September 19th, 2012 at 6:08 PM ^
This was you doing this prank, right BiSB? And if by some chance it wasn't, are you sad it wasn't you as you are right there?
September 19th, 2012 at 2:27 PM ^
It's very exposed and out in the open, and while ND students aren't exactly Sparties or Buckeyes, it still took some cojones to pull that off.
Bravo.
September 19th, 2012 at 4:41 PM ^
Amen to that. I used to think about various things like that that I might try while I was a student there, but never had the courage to pull one off. Campus is pretty open and ND police cars patrol the whole thing day and night. Lots of respect for these guys!

September 19th, 2012 at 2:43 PM ^
Yes, very nicely done. I agree with you, not vandalism. It is a nicely done piece of football rivalry.
September 19th, 2012 at 4:26 PM ^
Maybe not vandalism but probably does qualify as trespass (if not criminal, definitely civil). Regardless, tremendous idea and execution!

real or fake?

+1, would prank again.

Anyone have a higher resolution picture?
September 19th, 2012 at 2:56 PM ^
The stadium itself vis-a-vis the banner is too small.
September 19th, 2012 at 2:59 PM ^
How do you know how big the banner is?
September 19th, 2012 at 3:49 PM ^
Remember, that's not Michigan Stadium. It's ND Stadium, which is smaller (capacity 80,000).
Also, Dr. Saturday believes it's legit (see the link in the OP).

Wow. Domers sure are a pissy little bunch, aren't they?

You would have thought someone burned their houses down or something by the way they're talking. I hope for another heartbreaking ND loss this year. Denard left too much time on the clock last time.
September 19th, 2012 at 4:28 PM ^
Someone in the comments section referred to us as "ring less hand followers" . . . WTF does that even mean??
September 19th, 2012 at 4:44 PM ^
They do realize we have won a national title more recently than they have, right?
September 19th, 2012 at 4:55 PM ^
Being delusional is part of what makes Notre Dame fans so charming.
September 19th, 2012 at 5:40 PM ^
Being irrationally angry is the other. It's just so easy to get them all bent out of shape
September 19th, 2012 at 6:23 PM ^
"At the end of the game, when we embarrass them worse than we did UM, I want to see a pic of the ND team standing around it, pointing at it, and laughing their asses off." - from DomerDomain
Somebody is having fond memories of 1989...or maybe 1998. It's one of these (or 13 other games in college football history) certainly.
September 19th, 2012 at 5:08 PM ^
I feel sorry for DR after this stunt. They are going to be out for blood on this one. I would love to see the video of BK talking to the guys before/halftime/after the game about this. This does tell me that the scUM are scared coming into this game and that they need to take a shot to feel better about themselves. Good luck with that."
September 19th, 2012 at 7:08 PM ^
It's not even like the sign itself is insulting. "Beat the Irish" is as generic as it gets.

One of the comments compares us to the USF Bulls. I feel like ND fans are struggling with that team right now given its Holtz connection. USF isn't just another team it's their little brother. Some ND fans pull for USF b/c Skip Holtz coaches at the school. For how long? Who knows, but I will say Skip is a better guy than Todd Graham

just our stadium in miniature anyway?

Also, If any of you are interested, I will have my iPhone on in the stadium. So, for those of you sitting near the 35 yeard line on the ND side who can't read the stadium scoreboards beacuse they are a disgrace, feel free to look over my shoulder for scores, stats, and replays. ND... where technology goes to die.
September 19th, 2012 at 4:56 PM ^
How can someone get so upset about a sign being placed somewhere? Anything defaced or vandalized? No. Some real deep ingrained anger issues over there.
September 19th, 2012 at 10:24 PM ^
Based on the way we've lost the last three meetings, I'm convinced that we were slapping that banner, rather than the "Play Like A Champion Today" sign, on our way out of the locker room.
September 19th, 2012 at 5:08 PM ^
Denard just had the ND athletic department put that up.
He owns the stadium during game week after all

Michigan Daily article has additional details: Group of University students pulls fast one at Notre Dame Stadium
One member said eight students made the trip to South Bend and another two were involved in planning. The person claimed the group had little difficulty scaling the gate, and once inside, they used zip ties to secure the banner.
“The ironic part is that there were some Notre Dame students camped out on the other side of the stadium to protect it, but we came through the campus rather than from the road, so they didn’t see us coming,” one member said in a separate email. “The hardest part was making sure there was no one around … when we went to put up the banner, because there was absolutely no cover to hide behind as we hung it, and it is directly across from one of the main campus libraries.”
