I think I need a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster. I wouldn't mind the feeling of having my brain smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped around a large gold brick.

If anybody is interested, the Red Wings official site is streaming the preseason game with the Flyers. I'm hockey starved so I'm checking it out. Excited to see some of the guys play (mainly Emmerton. wanna see how he does fighting for a roster spot)

Just rum and coke on my way to Abu Dhabi...
September 23rd, 2011 at 7:47 PM ^
My favorite beer is from Alpine Beer Co.. in Alpine, CA--20 minutes east of SDSU campus. The best IPA's I've ever had. As good as Pliney the Elder (imo).
side note..Ryan Lindlay's hometown is Alpine...a mountain town, and he looks like a mountain man. I will burry some mountain town brew..M needs to burry some mountain town QB.

I have a sixer of Narragansett Tall Boys, but I have no intention to finish them all. Watching the Bruins preseason game with the Sox game postponed. Probably switch to the UCF-BYU game soon.
September 23rd, 2011 at 8:13 PM ^
Watching the UCF/BYU game and have my glass of Dimple Pinch, 15yo blended Scotch, nice way to try to make up for a sh*t week...
September 23rd, 2011 at 8:22 PM ^
In Ann Arbor from Nashville with a buddy for the game tomorrow, followed by JV going for 25 @ CoPa. Anyone recommend some bars to check out? We're not alumni, just lifelong fans and former Michiganders transplanted in TN. Checked out campus for the 1st time this afternoon, gorgeous.
<br>Any help would be appreciated guys..or a link to an archived threat with some hot spots. Sports on tv are a plus.

I'm pretty sure I've seen the Lee A Tregurtha going through the locks up in Sault St Marie.
September 23rd, 2011 at 9:23 PM ^
The Lee Tregurtha has a pretty interesting history. She used to be an ocean going ship during World War II. Was sold and converted to the lake freighter style (pilot house in front, deckhouse in back). If you look at one of the closeup pictures, you will see her war ribbons.
