I thought the coaches were on vacation for a week and that their vacation began last weekend?  If this is true, then wouldn't that mean that they are back by now, or close to it?

"Go read the entire thread before ever post again"?  So, what type of anger management issues do you have?  Or, is it because it's Saturday and you got a head start on your drunken period of the week?  WHERE in the thread does it answer my question?  I said "I thought", not that it was actually the case, so, please, before you post your worthless comment make sure you understand what it is you are typing.

The third one does not answer my question as it is a question as well.  The second and first posts do not answer my questions either.  Each refers to the coaches being back for Kalis' visit, but where does it answer my question of whether or not their vacations ended this weekend or not?  They could have just come back for the visit and that's all.

What you are missing is my meaning to the question.  People have answered that they are or maybe back for the Kalis visit, but I have not read any post answering as to when their vacation ended or ends?  So, let's say that Kalis was not visiting this weekend, would the Michigan coaches have been back from their vacations?  When did the vacation start, and when was it scheduled to end?  That was the basis of my question, but to get attacked on for a simple question just proves some people's egoes on here.

I am fairly new to this blog, but I have quickly realized just how egotistic some people are on here.  It's like if you don't know everything about Michigan football and the coaches, then you are not to shun out any posts on here or you will be massively attacked.  Sorry I do not spend 24 hours of the day getting up-to-date on the latest on Michigan issues, so that is why I come on here and ask certain questions, but  just to get attacked on.

Why should we not have huge egos? (PS -  egos, not egoes) We are part of the greatest blog for the greatest university in the greatest country in the world. We are all superior here. It has been scientifically proven that Michigan fans and other good contributors on this site (besides that Mason Bildergrad guy, who I can't figure out why he hasn't been banned) are actually superhuman, and we have every right to be egotistical.

We're not the ones who showed up a few weeks ago to a board that's been up and running for several years, and tried to convince everyone there that they were doing things wrong.

Are there egos around here? Of course there are.  This is the internet.  But it isn't a coincidence that this board is generally so much more informational and civil than MLive/RCMB/Bucknuts. Things run a certain way around here, and that way of doing things works for us.  it can be tough for new people to acclimate. Some people want to do things the way they want to do things, and often they clash with the rest of the board. And that's fine; you don't have to be well-liked to be a contributor.

Wow, wow, wow; where did I try to convince ANYONE that they were doing things wrong on here?  Are you just pulling things out of your ass now?  Post any comment and prove to me where I tried to convince others that people are doing wrong on here.  Again, sorry I haven't been on this blog posting for several years, but Blue in South Bend, you are proving my point exact.  Thank you.

I aim to help.

Think of it this way: my mother taught me that sometimes you'll be driving down the road, and you'll realize that everyone else is driving the other direction.  Now, you may well be in the correct lane driving the correct direction.  But you're still gonna crash into shit.  Your best bet is to turn around and drive in the same direction, or get off that particular road.

We may be arrogant pricks around here.  In fact, that's more than likely.  But honking and flashing your lights at everyone to try to convince us that we're all being pricks who should stop jumping on you for asking reasonable, legitimate questions won't help.

I know you don't want or need advice from Random Internet Guy, but I'll provide it anyway: don't take stuff so personally.  It's the internet; you're surrounded by know-it-alls and Internet Tough Guys, and people who are just going to disagree with you sometimes.  I've disagreed with pretty much everyone on this board at one time or another, but I think most people around here would term me a reasonable fella (albeit one with an unhealthy penchant for cat pictures). In other words:

Wait... that's not right...

Blue in South Bend:  I think you need to go back and reread my post.  I said "some", not all.  There are many on here that are legite, but when you responded to my post without me mentioning names trying to defend yourself tells me that you are admitting to it.    As I stated, thank you for that.  It was a simple question that some, as you would call them "know it alls" viciously responded to.  What is the point of that?  What is the point of you posting that since I have been on here I have been trying to convince some that others are doing wrong?  Where is your valid premise for that argument?  If this blog is full of know it alls and people with major egos (as you and waggles have stated), then wouldn't it be proper to respond to others in a civil way who are not "know it alls"?  This will be my last post on this issue.  It is pointless to talk about something like this to someone who admits to being a "know it all".

Don't think that was sarcasm. Animal's being a pia about when the coaches vacasion ends rather than whether or not they are back in AA for this. Perhaps it's the same thing. Maybe vacation was over this weekend but they came back a day early to sign up Kalis.

Chances are that nobody here knows exactly when the vacations were planned for due to the lack of anyone here being Brady Hoke, dave Brandon, or being the AD Scheduler. It should be enough to know that the coaches are there for the Kalis visit.

I totally agree and don't understand the hostility to new posters.  I would think the opposite would be true.  I don't even bother commenting in most threads because they've already devolved into petty bickering.  And then there are the ever present grammar nazi's.  Gotta love those guys.

We don't mean to be offensive here at mgoblog. We are mostly Michigan fans after all, and those who aren't are usually very civil. It's just frustrating because there have been a few new posters in the last month that haven't tried to feel out and respect the policies and climate here and have posted with a laissez-faire attitude. In short, it is stated above. Basic mgoboard etiquette can be followed by careful observation and the links to mgoboard policies at the top right of the page. We are trained idiots, after all. Hope you enjoy your stay here. Peace ON topic- I'm as excited about these recent developments as Mrs. Kalis will be after tomorrow.

I spotted him with his family at Pizza House. I'm 99% sure it was him since he was wearing a St. Ed's football t-shirt. Needless to say, he's a big boy.

That's a nice family place nowadays rather than the hole-in-the-wall it was back in the day.  But I've got to give props to the Jug, Backroom, Rick's and Charlie's in that neck of the woods as I've wasted entirely too much time in all those locales.

(Sorry, I think the above post came about as I must be craving a Saturday Night drinking thread.)
