I don't think it that big of a deal. Maybe he just wants to a have a chance for some flyers to join the class in the 11th hour if he swing and miss on bigger name guys. Plus I saw this reported at Bama's site ... I think it is an effort to try and sway Harris. Make him think that his RB coach would be leaving right after he stepped on campus.

I see what you did there. Nice work.
But in all seriousness on the Wilson thing ... This scares the crap of me when I consider what he was able to draw up at Indiana. Its crazy to think that Urban would have two ex head coaches on his staff in Wilson and Schiano. That is a whole lot of power tripping.

Read the other post on this topic ... He has until the semester drop date which is later in Jan. I think it is 1/19. There is still time for him to commit to us.

QB and RB were not the issue this year. It was the o-line that limited both the running game and passing game. Need to develop talent in the trenches to control the game. In all of these close games, if our o-line could help churn the yards and run the clock out, we win.

What morons are you talking to that want to replace Harbaugh? There certainly are some goons on the ol' Internet that think a better coach exists - maybe in Columbus or Tuscaloosa. But I can't imagine replacing a guy who, without playmakers but with an experienced defense, just went 10-3 back to back. It was as apparent we lack the OL, QB, WR, and RB that Florida State had. The talent gap was somewhat overcome with hard work - we lost to the 2 teams with more talent. The Iowa loss will be looked back at as inexplicable. Only BAD loss of the season and it wasn't a disastrous one.

Watch the play again ... He tried to dip a shoulder. Problem is, being a pocket passer type, no one coached him on how to give / take a hit. You have no problem with lowering a shoulder with a guy like Tebow or Newton. Wilton tried, probably to show heart to Harbaugh, but got bounced comically.

Rocky Horror Picture Show ... They've done it at the State where people act out the scenes and sing along on that weird stage like platform below the screen. An addition of band performing the songs would be very cool.

There are separate tournaments to get the do-or-die, best head-to-head, match ups you are looking for ... There is the Champions League which takes essentially the top four teams from the major leagues - Italian Serie A, Spanish Primera, EPL, and German Bundesliga - and puts them against each other to be the best in Europe. There is also the FA Cup which is the English play-off. Granted, most of the big name teams use second squads to compete in this tournament. But it's purpose is to have a play-off style winner of English. The two play for the Community Shield to kick-off the next season. So they crown two champions - just like the Big Ten in basketball - and then they play each other.

Daniel Horton anyone?! I remember cheering for him in the tiniest student section imaginable as we called our way to the NIT.

I read something in Pop Sci last week that claimed, more often than not, the person who denies responsibility for the fart is the probable farter. It was supported by a recent study and claimed motive as a key indicator.

We lost to MSU that year in the trash bowl ... Hence the signs "Spartan Tears Taste Like Sugar".

So yeah ... You must have won the super bowl as an arm chair QB. Nice comment without having much of any knowledge about PSU, their schedule, Michigan's injuries on defense, etc.

Glasgow out hit us. The game was a bad rotating door at DT trying to find a suitable replacement. Indiana has a tough RB in Howard and driving him at the center of our line seemed obvious once we had a hard time getting a replacement. Glasgow is probably the smartest d-lineman we have this year and without him being sort of a QB for the defense we struggled to contain the inside run.
|1 year 14 weeks ago||I tend to agree with your||
I tend to agree with your comment. Some people come on here to spout off crap ... But they can't see teams stacking 8 guys in the box to make us throw the football and they can't even spell the names of the players correctly. The thing is Rudock has improved the last couple weeks as teams have moved to stop the run - this opens up space for receivers through the air. At some point, hopefully next week with Penn State, our opponent realizes they need to play defense straight up (like a 4-3 without blitz packages and press coverage) and both the running game and passing game begin to mesh.
|1 year 23 weeks ago||And without our own errors we||
And without our own errors we would have ... We spotted them 18 points (2 long overthrown TDs, missed FG after one of those, and a pick 6) and still were in the game by 7 points. Come on now. That's what B1G teams do on the road at Pac 12 teams west of the Mississippi - we hurt ourselves with stupid penalties, turnovers, and bad clock management. It's just a simple fact of history. A loss by a TD in week one of a new offense, new coach, and lacking some skilled players bodes pretty well for the rest of our season.
|1 year 23 weeks ago||Actually their press coverage||
Actually their press coverage is what gets the burned. It puts their CBs on an island that can be beat with accurate deep ballad. Oregon missed some major chances - including the game winner to the end some - because they couldn't hit the deep ball. As long as your WRs fight through the initial contact you are scott free through that weak and young secondary. They were primed for losses last year with a senior secondary. Now they replace the back 4 and play the same game. Very high risk - get beat deep - vs high reward - letting safeties control the crossing routes and coming up to stop the run.
|1 year 24 weeks ago||And talking about missing||
And talking about missing holes ... Elliot for OSU sometimes had no hole. He just juked, side stepped, danced, whatever and made positive yards. At not just 2 yards - like 6 yards after the blocking looked dead to rights. I miss that kind of RB. Maybe one of these guys is going to have a Chris Perry-esque light bulb moment. But, gosh, they just don't seem very skilled right now.

I tend to agree with this. I think people underestimate team dynamics, experience, and a coach's effect on the team. All of these are against the Spartans this year.
|1 year 30 weeks ago||He probably didn't even go||
He probably didn't even go there ... Alums of Ohio State, from my experience, aren't nearly as terrible as the scum sucking, shit eating, inbreds in Ohio that are just super fans by the lack of sports team in that god forsaken flat corn field area.
|1 year 30 weeks ago||Bottom line, Winston is a||
Bottom line, Winston is a competitor to the end and a real winner. He reminds me of Trey Burke in that he is limited physically but can put a team on his shoulders when a big defensive stop, shot, or momentum play needs to be made. I like that he will forever have that chip on his shoulder - other guys are "better" than me why?!
|1 year 31 weeks ago||Wow. Is that some||
Wow. Is that some revisionist history or what?! I would argue they had a golden period in the 2000s - better than us actually. They won a national championship in 2005 with Vince Young. The year before that, 2004, they beat us in the Rose Bowl for a Top 5 ranking. 2008 they beat OSU in the Fiesta Bowl for Top 5 ranking. And in 2009 they played Bama for the National Championship. McCoy actually is the most successful QB in college football history with a 45-8 record.
