Pretty awesome they have their first female finisher. I do think they need to figure out how to make it harder though, it was a lot cooler when years would pass without anybody finishing, there have been 8 finishers in the past 2 years, 5 just this year
He was suspended half the season this year and they didn’t fire him. He’s not getting a show cause from either incident so it’s not like the NCAA is gonna force the university to fire him and be out $120 MM so why does the university care about these clauses so much now? Plus they can financially absorb paying him for another half a season while he’s suspended not bringing in value, he’ll bring in more money than that would cost.
It’s ok for bowl games to be all about extra practices and an extra game for next year’s starters, there’s still a benefit of having them even if players opt out
Yeah, using play action 4-5 times during that stretch probably gets us at least another touchdown and field goal. I’d rather run the clock out up 19 than up 9
I guess I fail to understand why the commish is in a tough spot. Seems pretty easy to tell a bunch of whiny coaches and ADs who don’t actually have any recourse that everything will wait until after the NCAA investigation. What are they gonna do, leave the BIG10 cuz the conference didn’t immediately suspend Michigans coaching staff?
This isn’t proof of him acting alone in the eyes of the NCAA, this is only proof that there is a clear cut rules violation of in person scouting of another team by a staff member during the season in which we play said other team. Some of you guys need to stop going “aha, this is definite proof” when it is literally the furthest thing from proof. Proof he was working alone will only come from the NCAA not finding any other connection from other coaching staff in other electronic devices or financial accounts, plain and simple
As fans, we don’t believe any of this is that bad, but the reality is that the grey area defense is gone since he was personally on the sideline as a member of the athletic staff instead of paying non athletic staff members to attend the games for him. Stop being an ostrich
I’m hearing rumors it was the investigative firm we hired for the Weiss case and it was his computer they are talking about, they found this stuff while doing the investigation
You just gotta trust that companies will realize that there is a tipping point where cost reductions from using AI instead of human workers is outweighed by the loss in revenue from so many humans now being unemployed and not being able to consume at the level needed to sustain the world economy. There will be a gap in time between these two moments that will be very painful for the world as we slowly walk back from the economic damage AI has caused, but I trust in the long term that companies and governments alike will realize there is no point in using AI for cost savings if they can’t generate enough revenue to sustain themselves and national GDPs start decreasing
Let’s assume this money wasn’t ever going to be used for anything altruistic. I’m much happier that a player got this money than the athletic department. Generations of players got fucked over to fund the college athletic departments arms race and coach and administration salary bloat. It’s about time life changing amounts of money flowed to the players
That's a dumb statement, is he starts stringing together a bunch of 7-5, 6-6 seasons then he absolutely should be challenged. Just because he has this season doesn't mean he's untouchable if he can't keep it up
Does anybody remember years and years and years ago there was a front page post, maybe about spring weigh-ins and such, and somebody asked a legit question around Mike Jones' number and somebody replied with the phone number from the song and the OP was super confused cuz they didn't know the song. I always think of that exchange when I hear the name or the song...
This is such a stupid insinuation. Teams replace underperforming coaches and find success with their new coaches, it's not a novel idea. Have some balls and hope a change is the catalyst we need instead of being ok with mediocrity, jeez
Went there a week ago and they were having logistic issues with getting their food and beverages, some of the things on the menu weren't available and they didn't have their signature cocktailsu on the menu due to missing ingredients, hopefully they've worked out the kinks.
Also, not sure what your mean by not super loud, they had the volume turned up waaaaay too loud while I was in there, almost couldn't hold a conversation on a Thursday evening

Harbaugh exists in the capacity he does (coaching a college football team, making millions of dollars) because fans are willing to pay money to watch the team and but merch. The media is our indirect access to the team, so therefore he does sort of owe the media something. I'll never understand this concept of fans and media not being able to be frustrated or complain, he exists because we exist, he should act like it
Not really the same, but didn't Steve Elmer take his official to Michigan during the ND game but found himself rooting for ND during the game, so he committed to them soon after? Or am I making that up?

Yep, Marshall Henderson
Hey, did you hear Darius Clemmons is in the portal?
You can get paid a bunch of money as a recruit and still get drafted, it’s not rocket science why 5 stars are going elsewhere

I don’t know, the people holding up “deer lives matter” signs while protesting the deer cull years ago is the most Ann Arbor thing ever
Come on, you wouldn’t be impressed if you met the donor who paid JJ enough to come back next year? Bullshit
I could see the committee putting Bama ahead of Texas in scenario #2 due to Bama beating #1 and the Texas game being so early in the season

If this is the outcome, I wish it was without the PAC 12 teams on the cusp of joining, it would really crush the BIG 10 then

This is why all college football needs to be played on Saturdays

To make it easier for him to hit that number they decided all points would count towards it, not just offensive points
Damn, didn’t even realize my HS went to 8 man football
Like I said, just a rumor I heard, but it’s at least plausible, though not entirely probable

Sorry, didn’t think I needed to put the /s
That’s what he gets for buying the tickets in his own name, he should have just had them buy their own tickets and then paid them back, what a moran
Kinda sucks that the only game that he wasn’t able to scout before hand based on not knowing who the opponent was going to be was TCU…
Emily Adams knows what’s up, that’s exactly how I would rank it
I just use an incog tab on chrome, loads fine that way
If we look at the pattern he’ll have a 100% completion rate for the Nebraska game
You must be a real hit at parties
I really like the bartenders at Vellum. The food was fine, but the drinks were imaginative and amazing

I was sipping in some Gran Dovejo blanco but I wasn’t really feeling it tonight so I poured it out

I second this, it’s a fun hike
Does anybody even remember this reference at this point 😭
Holy shit there’s so many douchey mgoblog users in this thread
UF getting smoked by Oregon State
How long do you think you'll have to wait for one of those?
Hire Flores, it's not like he'll ever coach again in the NFL
That's a dumb statement, is he starts stringing together a bunch of 7-5, 6-6 seasons then he absolutely should be challenged. Just because he has this season doesn't mean he's untouchable if he can't keep it up
Because Deftones White Pony album is the greatest album of all time

Any 4x scoring leader will be elected, so why would a 4x DPoY be any different than that?
