What about moving him to TE. He played WR in high school but after watching Rudolph break away from him 2 years ago he obviously lacks top end speed. He has put on some weight so I don't think it would be a bad move to put him at Tight End and see how he does. Thoughts? |

Although late, pretty spot on in my opinion. |

I don't understand why people are that suprised that kids from Ohio who grew up rooting for the Buckeys would still want to go there dispite all of the uncertainty. The majority of readers here are probably from Michigan and grew up cheering for the maize and blue. I feel like a vast majority of mgobloggers would still choose Michigan given the same circumstances. I know I would... |

A spread offense with a quarterback who can run and not a running back that can throw. So basically Oregon's offense. If you listened to Brian Kelly on Gameday he specifically said they want a QB who can run (Dennis Dixon is playing in the NFL as a QB for example). Growing up a Michigan fan I have memories (nightmares) of Donovan McNabb, Vince Young, Troy Smith escaping would be sacks and getting first downs. I always wanted someone like that and thought RichRod would make that happend. Denard is great but he is more a runner who can throw vs. a thrower who can run. A Michigan example would to be imagine our offense against Florida but add in a few zone reads by our QB. |

I have no clue why we haven't thrown one bubble screen all year. Teams kill our D with that and Mich St. was obviously stacking the box. I don't understand why we don't try and get the ball out on the edge and let our guys make plays. I also don't understand why Michael Shaw didn't see anytime today. Again Mich St. was sending guys up the middle all game and it didn't seem like we every tried to run the ball outside. This game was clearly on the coaches. We had no clue on offense...Al was clearly lost out there today. |

You are correct. That was against OSU Tate and Denard's freshmen years. RichRod tried to use Tate and Denard together with little success. If I am not mistaken, on the play you are talking about Denard actually had his man beat, Tate under threw it and it got picked off. |

I am a huge fan of putting Devin and Denard back in the shotgun and running the zone read with Denard as the RB. For Denard this really won't be much different than a QB designed run. Heck maybe the first time they do it make it a called give. After handing off to Denard a few times imagine all the stuff Devin can do off of the fake. I have been wanting this for a while and think this would be a good game to pull it out. |

I noticed this earlier in the week but don't have enough points to start a post. J.T. Turner is in the Rivals Juco Top 50 coming in at #39. It doesn't list any schools...it will be interesting to see where he ends up. http://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/rankings/rank-2995

If I am not mistaken, he ran into another Michigan receiver which slowed him down a touch and in turned caused the pass to be overthrown. I believe the play you are talking about was when Denard rolled to the right and threw it back left? They showed on the replay during the game that he run into someone from Michigan, slowing him down. |
