Didn't expect their fans to be such assholes, but myself and a friend went down to the game last Saturday in Bloomington, and I'm not exaggerating when I say they're up there with the worst fan bases I've ever encountered, and I grew up in the Lansing area. Just completely awful people, and I'm not basing this on a small sample size, it happened a lot throughout the day. Who gets in someone's face just walking down the street and says "fuck you guys", or "get the fuck out of our town"? Also, grown ass men wearing those IU warm up sweat pants in public.
Couple the way they treat complete strangers for wearing the wrong team colors with a loss helping us in the standings, and I know where I'm at this weekend.
And yes, I know Ohio State fans also suck. I'm on a bit of recency bias here, but fuck IU, forever.
I get that it's not a team award. I'm just saying, based on the way it's been awarded in the past, you'd think Trent would win. I have a feeling that trend gets bucked with RG3 though. Could have paid for my flight to New Orleans, but RG3 had to go out and put the final nail in the Heisman coffin :(
I'm clearly biased, considering I bet on Trent to win the Heisman at 12/1 before the season and have a rooting interest in what happens Saturday night, but I just don't see how you can give it to RG3 when his team got completely destroyed twice this year. He's great, and I'm sort of resigned to the fact that he's going to win it, but I don't think he should.
A whole column and no mention of Craig James' brilliance? Damn. Watching on mute, perhaps? Was hoping we'd hear some roast of his name-dropping or incoherent babbling.
Like I said during the Liveblog: If we play like that, I'd tolerate Craig every Saturday for the rest of time.
Yep, I'm well aware of the "fade the public" method, which is exactly what I've done today. I almost never bet on Michigan, but I figured I might as well go all in today emotionally and financially... Yikes.
I'm pretty sure that documentary falls about two hours after the selection show. So... If we have a nice little run here to end the season, but for some reason are on the outside looking in come Sunday night, I think myself and a lot of other fans are going to be in a horrible mood by the time that documentary starts.
On the other hand, if we take care of business and get in, that will be an awesome fucking day.
The "old enough to appreciate" is a category I like to get into with my friends from time to time. Three guys I actually saw in person but was too young and dumb to fully comprehend were MJ, Charles Woodson (Mich days), and Barry Sanders. I would kill to have been 7 or 8 years older than I was during that time period
Somewhat surprised to see you linking to anything written by Ty Duffy. If I remember correctly, I thought you weren't a fan of his. Can't blame you for that
If we had ended up in the Insight Bowl like many thought, you'd be even more upset that hoops/bball were playing at the same time. I think they kind of had to do this just in case of a potential bowl game. Me, I'm leaving the office early today for an "appointment".
EDIT: Looks like Shoe got to it before me. My bad.
I've got a buddy at State with a few friends on the team, and he said the word around campus is that he'll be back on the team. Take it FWIW, I'm definitely not saying this is a fact, but I won't be surprised at all when he's reinstated.
Mich holding Oakland to .59 point per possession that half, which is a ridiculous number considering Oakland's offense has been pretty good so far this year.
I was over at Kenpom today and I think he may have recently updated the individual player stats, because Morris is all the way up to second nationally in assist rate
You haven't heard about this? I'd say it was about two years ago, and it was a freestyle with former M wideout Toney Clemons. Not sure exactly where the video was, but his rhymes were ridiculous. Febreze!
I've been a strong advocate of shotgun inside the five ever since the fumble on the Indiana goal line. About lost my mind. Stick with what works/what the team knows best.
Give me a break. Smith and Singler both come back, a sick recruiting class, and Steph Curry's brother is eligible to play this year after transferring and sitting out. I'll be very surprised if they aren't back in the Final Four

Is that a title associating Frank Caliendo and a smiley face? Someone please burn this thread to the ground and let's pretend it never happened.
The pessimist in me tends to think the announcing of a press conference probably means he's gone. Certainly hope I'm wrong, though.
Ohio State, without question.

This is wrong. Books take risks just like gamblers do, they're just better at it. 50/50 is a myth.

There's an app called "pocketcasts" on the Droid that seems to work well, pretty sure the iPhone has it.

And also, you can NEVER go wrong with a Wire clip. Well done.

Yeah, I don't think that's right. Pretty sure the Wynn and other books opened Tech -2.5 or -3.

They were doing filming in Grand Rapids and even at Grand Valley, so I'm guessing that'd be a yes.

When will the nightmare end

Ugh
Marlo, baby. Love me some Wire
I think it used to be, but the bastards have nickel and dimed it up at most locations.
I think maybe your ND fan friend is tired of losing to RR the last two years.
Let's go with CNNSI then!
And yes, I had 226... ha

Well, considering your name is "Cock D", I think we'd all love to hear your take...

I see, my mistake.
If they have access to the Internet, I'm not sure why they couldn't get espn3
espn3.com ....
Keith Benson is a game changer in the paint. Dude is gonna get drafted relatively high. Wish we would have recruited him.
I have a feeling Horford is going to be real good in a year or two.
I was over at Kenpom today and I think he may have recently updated the individual player stats, because Morris is all the way up to second nationally in assist rate
I'm almost certain the camera was focused on LB right before half there. And what do you know, he had a decent looking blonde standing right by him.
So... Dee wouldn't wanna commit there, right?
Hell, who knows anything these days.
Wow, meant to say Times-Union. I am an idiot. Apologies

Ha I was just about to post this. Could this be any more opposite of his previous free stylings? His musical diversity is insane.

I think we all get a pass considering these circumstances:
1) On a 2 game losing streak going into that game
2) Matt McGloin going all Peyton Manning on the defense.
3) Road night game, meaning the majority of us were drinking heavily during the game
4) A blowout early, forcing us to drink even more... leading to crazy drunken posts.
On that note, I'm going to get my first drink of the night.
Not trying to complain and I do give the D a lot of credit, but how much of it was just horrendous Purdue offense?
I had Michigan -7 for the first half. 14-3 and about to score looked REAL good. That worked out well.

Was it FitzTou who guaranteed he was blue the other night? Perhaps he needs a nice gang-neg bang??
Like music to my ears.

Didn't really think this one would ever come up.

I like Inge, but I get the feeling he's on the decline. Can't complain about his defense, but his bat usually frustrates the hell out of me.
