Hoke says Denard will stay

On the Huge show just a few minutes ago, Huge asked Hoke if Denard has told him if he will stay. Hoke replied quickly with "yes." I like the source, time to move on to some other recruits.

I appreciate the "give me all the information now" attitude as much as the next fan. But the man's enrolled at the University of Michigan, is at all the team meetings for the University of Michigan football team, and his coach says he's not going anywhere. If he was transferring, I'd like to hear it from him, but a press conference to announce nothing has changed is a bit much. There's a line we cross when we over-emphasize one player (even the most important player on the team). It would be nice to see Denard smile for us again (gosh knows we love when he does that), but -- coming from a media guy -- this is really enough.

With him staying, I don't think you would get a trip to the podium from him to announce that anyway.  Too about the team to put the spotlight on himself to say he's going to stay with the team.  I suspect that he's happy having his coach confirm that, no matter what the fanbase's insecurities.

My guesses would be that Crawford and Goudis are Miami bound and Frost to UNC, but Hoke will be able to make a good pitch to Lucien, especially considering that he had two 1,000 yard recievers at SDSU last season, I believe.

While a lot of us are upset about the way the "Michigan man" meme has been abused, Denard is well on his way to going down in history as a classic Michigan man. I look forward to being able to witness the rest of it.
