|4 days 17 hours ago||If we can't be in the||
playoff, I would love a shot at Washington, but not likely to happen.
USC would also be acceptable to me.
|5 days 22 hours ago||You know writing||
letters to jim Delaney after every tough, controversial loss just invites the "whiney Michigan" fan truth.
Just don't, accept it, move on.
|5 days 22 hours ago||This feels alot like||
a "find yourself a new job or we're firing you" situation.
|6 days 16 hours ago||After watching||
many games this year, I really only want us to play Washington or Clemson. Opponents I think are pretty evenly matched.
Alabama is better than us but probably not as much as people think and of course Ohio State is even <cough>.
Anything other than those 2 is a disappointment to me.
|1 week 13 hours ago||They didn't need||
to reverse it if it had been spotted correctly in the first place.
|1 week 14 hours ago||good teams||
don't play bad against Michigan anymore
|1 week 23 hours ago||Fuck Ohio||
Fuck Big Ten refs
Fuck Michigan State fans taking joy in this
Fuck Penn State for profiting from this
but mostly Fuck Ohio

asses off, deserved better
|1 week 2 days ago||I'm happy the sick to my||
stomach feeling that used to accompany this game for years is a different kind of sick to my stomach feeling than the last 10 years.
It feels normal again.
|1 week 2 days ago||Ya know what||
now O'Korn gets a full evaluation on the things he needs to work on and likely some super heavy good coaching if its known Speight can't play.
He'll be better this weekend.
|1 week 5 days ago||Were we favored||
against Virginia Tech?
|1 week 5 days ago||Bad move for Texas||
if so. The look on Dantonio's face this year says he doesn't have much left in the tank.
|1 week 5 days ago||I made trips to Columbus||
every year from 1984 to 2004, except for that 1996 game. Amazing to think how different the crowd of Buckeyes are now vs then. In the 880's and 90's there was always a hint of anything can happen and pensive, nervousness from both fan bases. Now it seems like the grade A assholes rule the rivalry, Tressel turned the rivalry for sure be he also emboldened their fans to be complete jerks.
I didn't get to attend the 2006 game because I was priced out of the market, but was in Columbus with friends. I'll never forget that deflating feeling of arriving in my hotel room so full of excitement for the next day only to flip on the TV and learn Bo had passed away. Feel like we've been walking in a trance ever since. Since then I haven't been back to The Game in Ohio.
I haven't been back through a combination of things life related, but very near the top of that list is also having a crappy football program for a decade. I just haven't haven't had the heart. I miss those trips and so dearly want to be in Columbus this weekend.
|1 week 5 days ago||I remember that||
I also remember Cal Tech regularly hacking the scoreboard at the Rose Bowl with Cal Tech beating MIT.
I remember the year the Rose Bowl hired "experts" to keep the pranks from happening again and were assured their system had been properly firewalled. 4Q comes and its Cal Tech beating MIT again.
|1 week 6 days ago||its not shocking||
at all if you've spent any time living in Ohio or regularly conversing with people from Ohio about football.
I once had to explain that Michigan and Michigan State are different schools, the kid still didn't get it after 15 minutes.

in bad weather, Urban doesn't trust his QB and puckers up.

|2 weeks 17 hours ago||I'd like to think||
the weather played a role in that, it was very very cold and very windy. Tough to grip a football in the first place and tough to throw it accurately in that wind.
|2 weeks 18 hours ago||Thank God||
our special teams have been good this year. They've kind of saved us a couple times.
|2 weeks 18 hours ago||Its been so long||
since one of these mattered so much for both.
Beat Ohio State!
|2 weeks 18 hours ago||its has snowed||
before but never really to the point of sticking like today.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Michigan paid||
very poorly in those days, even Bo was severly underpaid next to his less succesful peers. No living in Saline for the assistant coaches back then.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Frieder||
was gone before the Fab Five arrived.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||why would Louisville||
need to steal plays to beat Wake Forest, and if they did, why were they trailing at halftime?
|2 weeks 5 days ago||I might just be an amateur||
football watcher and fan but I think it works better with 11 rather than 10.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||That might depend||
on who wins the Pac12
For instance if WSU wins, WSU vs OSU has more cache than say WSU vs PSU, but the Rose might tolerate a USC v PSU game.
Colorado vs Wis, OSU or PSU is six one half dozen of the other, but would the Rose want a Michigan/Colorado rematch?
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Have you been reading||
Not sure this is much different than most Big Ten coaches, for all the ridicule our conference gets over the years there are some universally tough places to play. Iowa, Wisconsin, Penn State, Nebraska and Ohio State. For Michigan I'd throw MSU in that lot. I'd like to think Michigan is a tough place for everyone else to play as well.
|3 weeks 5 hours ago||he took the injury||
late in the game, he was awful for two quarters before the injury as well
|3 weeks 5 hours ago||Well||
They lost at Utah, many reasons to give Michigan a bit of a pass, first Harbaugh game, first Rudock game etc etc, but man the parrallels in how Michigan looked that night to last night are many.
They beat Maryland last year 28-0 in a game that many felt was a bit underachieving, yet still pretty solid performance
They beat Minnesota by the skin of their teeth and really if not for coaching butchery by Minnesota that was a loss
They beat a bad Penn State team by 12, but it took a strong 4th Q to do so
They beat chaos team Indiana in double OT, if not for some heroics a loss.
The beat Rutgers, demolished them really but Rutgers is one of the worst Big Ten teams of the last 40 years
They beat Michigan State by 9, but was anyone really truely satisfied with how Michigan performed in the whole picture
They lost at Iowa, probably looking worse than in any of Harbaughs previous true road games at Michigan.
This is Harbaugh's true road game resume at Michigan, 6-2, could have been 4-4
I think you can say Michigan's had 4 pretty sub par road games under Harbaugh, Utah, Minnesota, Indiana and now Iowa. Utah probably gets an asterisk, thats a tough ask for any program going through transition in their first game.
but how do you explain Michigan's poor road performances against 6-7 teams Minnesota and Indiana and this Iowa team that is sitting on 6-4.
|3 weeks 6 hours ago||We have pretty much||
not played well in Iowa City since 1994 or 1991, I can't remember details of either of those two games.
Everything since then has been a once score game we either won by the skin of our teeth or lost.
You can probably even extend that back and say Michigan has only played well there 2 or 3 times since Hayden Fry arrived at Iowa.
