It took me a while to figure out the title was not about a 5* going to Bama.

I like that use of ripe, it means the speculation was well-developed, ready to be turned into reality. As opposed to speculation that is not ready for actual consideration.

You dont see your own assumptions. See, you assumed that by saying "rap video" we would know that the video involved "talking about driving up to a party and shooting randomly at people." I had no idea that the video you were talking about included those things, because for me, "rap video" is not a euphemism for "talking about driving up to a party and shooting randomly at people." You made that assumption.
I dont care what the vido had in it, for its content in no way means that LTT is in favor of shooting people. My point is that maybe you should be a little more aware of your assumptions.

This is a surprise - I didnt see any crystal ballz for Cristobal to Oregon on 247 sports.

"1. Appears in rap video with guns aimed everywhere."
Why does it matter that it was a rap video? 'Rap' is clearly a euphemism here for "black people". Might want to ask yourself why that distinction matters.
|4 days 7 hours ago||Completely disagree. You have||
Completely disagree. You have to take opportunities as they come. Neither of these guys is going to get a big-time power 5 head coaching gig next. But I bet both want one. So the next stop will, they hope, be a pit stop, wherever it is. Waiting for right place to create the next 2016 WMU, instead of taking on 2017 WMU, is silly. One could argue that any coach who takes the WMU job is moving into a place that now has a winning culture, and therefore it will be harder to not succeed. All the next coach there needs is a couple of 9 to 10 win seasons, and he is on his way up.
Remember, it is what the hiring committee at the next job thinks, not necessary the fans at the current job. Fans may unreastically expect 12 win seasons, but the hiring committee at the next job would understand its not reasonable.

"...but they would be in an infinitely better position than the one they seem to be barreling towards at the moment."
Seems like anchoring bias. It's dangerous to start feeling like merely "salvaging something" is ok. As Michigan fans (and alumni), we should expect more looking backwards and going forwards.
|1 week 6 hours ago||This approach would be really||
This approach would be really bad management. You only cite criteria of him as a player. While that is informative, it is not indicative. Only in the last sentence do you mention anything about his coaching, and you mention nothing about recruiting. Yet in your only reference to his coaching, you say "I'm certain." That's pretty flimsy evidence of his coaching ability. Like I said, he might be great, but the fact that he played at UM is icing on the cake, not the reason for hiring him.
|1 week 6 hours ago||That's just it - Because||
That's just it - Because Wheatley, a bit of an unproven commodity at the UM-level, worked out, why does that mean Hart would? It seemed like Wheatley was somewhat of a risk given his scant experience. The chances of that working out twice in a row are slim.
Hart might be a great coach, but his career at Michigan shouldn't stand above, or even on par with, his qualifications as a talent-developer and recruiter. If he is great at the latter two, then the fact that he played at UM is just icing on the cake. That's it.
|1 week 7 hours ago||I just dont get the||
I just dont get the fascination here with Mike Hart as UM's rb coach. Give me someone who is proven to coach the hell out of rbs and recruit like a mother over a former UM rb.

What in the world does "substantiated" even mean in this context? From Ty's mouth? From Jim's mouth? From Ty's barber's mouth? From Jim's cousin's barber's mouth?
Vague question leads to nearly meaningless answer.

|1 week 3 days ago||I would like it if Auberon||
I would like it if Auberon Salamander committed. Then "f- [x team]" could be a running joke throughout his career. Like when a reporter asks him how he feels about playing Florida, he could just say, "You know how I feel about Florida. F- Florida." Eventually he would not have to provide the second part of the answer.
|1 week 3 days ago||You are swimming in||
You are swimming in assumptions. How do you know Najee hasnt told the UM coaches his intentions? The kid has been committed to Alabama since May. All we know is that he considered a couple of other schools in the mean time, took some visits, but has not changed his commitment. That's it. All else is assumption.

What are you talking about? I think Aubrey's comments are no big deal and admire him for taking ownershiop. I was referring only to the "Its just a game" comment I see here often.

"It is just a game."
One of the most inane and solipsistic comments that appears on this site. It is a game, but it is also a huge industry and a career for thousands of people (players, staff, and secondary businesses and support industries). Saying "its just a game" about football is like saying that all industries beyond the ones that provide our basic needs, i.e., water, food, shelter, and medical care, are superfluous.

My take as well. The kid has been verbally committed to Bama the whole time. As far as anyone knows. There should be no surprise, outrage, backlash, if he sticks with Bama.
