You are trolling you’re constituency with a raging douche.

And BtW.  We are all meeting on the 50 yard line right after The Game Saturday.   We win.

Fuck that. If any one of you so much as changes the underwear you’ve been wearing since the second half of the PSU game I will hunt you down and murder you. Nothing changes, damn it. The juju is good right now.

It's bush league. It's high school. I don't get all the insider 'jokes' in this place, nor do I want to. But I do know that bringing such insider things to the foreground creates an insider/outside divide, yet it does not make the inside any more appealing. Much less so.

I don’t claim to fully understand the Pitbull thing, but I think Brian or Seth said something about this team needing to have the same kind of swagger that Pitbull does to be successful.

That said, if you don’t get an inside joke, the worst possible thing to do it complain about it.  That’s you creating an insider/outsider dynamic.  When I don’t get a joke, I let it go or wait for context to bear out the meaning.  There are a ton of inside jokes here...quit drinking and go to bed is another prime example.  If you feel threatened by not getting it, just stay to the main page and enjoy the free content.  Don’t make your life any harder than it already is.

Brian, definitely. I don't particularly like the Pitbull banner since it's literally my job to sell this blog, and potential sponsors see that and think we're not serious.

But Brian's the Editor, not me. And I get the joke and also get that people need a reminder sometimes that the cheekiness is part of the show around here.

The joke isn't that inside either. Pitbull used to do the Dr. Pepper commercials that everyone who watches college football gets inundated with. Then they replaced him with Larry Culpepper who was so awful we all wanted Pitbull back. Then it turned out Pitbull, this facially ridiculous pop rapper, is actually a pretty good dude, with a Mario Incandenza attitude towards life. The message is the world has plenty of things to be cynical about; maybe being ornery about sports all the time isn't the best way to go about things. Maybe we should all be more like Mr. Worldwide, make everyone around us better, and just have a real good time under a highway overpass.

When I first joined this board ~4 years ago, I didn't know anything about it.  Hell, I never knew it existed, so read about a week's worth of content and signed in.  When I saw an inside joke, I watched for content.  When I still didn't get it, I asked, and dozen's of people chipped in to explain.

Instead of acting like there's such a divide of people here, you don't you lighten up and enjoy some message board foolishness?  There is nothing 'inside' about Pit Bull - it's nothing more than Brian enjoying his own foolishness, and is something he's talked about openly, both on the various podcasts and in his writing.
