No, I agree. I never really liked it when I was a student. I know this is even more blasphemous, but my favorite sandwich place was "Taste Our Goods" - a little shop in the corner of Sparrow's Market in Kerrytown. Ironically across the street from Zingerman's. Sadly it has since closed. |

and I bet you Hoke and the entire team 133 would agree with me. and I'm a tradition-loving old-timer as much as anyone else.
EDIT: The tradition of phrasing the season's goal as getting to Pasadena stems from the days when a) that usually equated to a national championship and b) when it was the only bowl you could get to. It's not the Rose Bowl that's the tradition at Michigan...it's motherfking excellence that's the tradition. Current measure of excellence = M.N.C. For all you people indoctrinated to extol tradition without thought or experience - I also bet you Bo, Lloyd, Crisler and especially Yost would have agreed with me in today's age. |

I have 5-star excitement for this guy. Obviously it's a highlight against inferior competition and all but wow. |

other than the fact that they are both white, former walk-ons in the big ten, they could not be more different in terms of playing style. |

12 points in the playoffs is not a big lead. Unless you're up by like 20 with less than 4 minutes you close out the game with your starters. This is the playoffs fergodsakes. Also Rose is working his way back from injury and badly needs the court time. If I were coach I would have played him even if it was a blowout. |

They were beating the likes of Miami and Orlando (pre-dwight howard issues) and other good teams without Rose. However, I don't think they can replicate that in the playoffs...they are screwed. They got by during the regular season because they play great team basketball and Thibs gets them to play harder then anybody. Talent trumps all in the playoffs. As a basketball fan this is sad to see. Explosiveness is a huge part of his game and I hope he comes back strong. |

| 4 weeks 2 days ago | im not super well-informed on the topic |
but isn't it fair to ask - if the CS department is in the green (as articles are saying), then why would you cut this program and not others? the computer industry is becoming hugely important. couldn't they have cut another engineering program or say like geology or contemporary carribean literature? budget cuts are probably to blame - but from my limited information im baffled by the choice of CS over other programs. |
| 4 weeks 2 days ago | uhhh i never said it wasn't |
just clarifying that they aren't getting rid of the entire department as many seem to believe. only the research aspect of it. i go onto say they might as well get rid of the whole dept since all the professors will leave |
