Your CFB Hate distribution

Submitted by blockm97 on

You've got 100% of your "CFB Hate" to disperse.  Who gets what percent?

For me.....

OSU:  92%

MSU 5%

Clemson 2%

Texas 1%

My disdain for OSU is unhealthy and unrelenting.  I refuse to draft Cleveland Browns in my FF league.  I won't pick a mid-major from Ohio during March Madness.  I loathed Lebron, then was "OK" with him and now dislike him again.  I think Matta looks like Gargamel from the Smurfs.  And my biggest UM pet peeve is when people debate.."What is UM's biggest game on the schedule?"

An interesting OP would be what original (not Neb, PSU, Maryland, rutgers) Big 10 member would UM not be the #1 most hated rival in football terms?

I think only Wisconsin (Minn?) we'd not be #1 since they think we are now an out of conf game. Maybe Purdue or Indiana would pick Ohio State.  Or each other.

----------------------

I used to be a 95% OSU/5% MSU even living in MI but I grew up in an era MSU was an afterthought.  Now its 50/50.  Once Dantonio retires and MSU goes back to being the cute 5-7 win a year program they'll go back to 5%.   I dont think out of state Wolverines can fathom the issues us in state folks deal with so their hate for MSU will always register lower.

Well, IU and Purdue always hate each other and are usually pretty terrible, so I wouldn't say either think of UM as their main rival.

Iowa... is weird, they might say us but I would think they'd say Wisconsin or Minnesota? I dunno. I guess BHGP might have the answer.

Illinois is also weird. They're now trying to make Northwestern into a huge rivalry now when it really hasn't been that heated, as NW considers Michigan probably as big a rival as Illinois.

You mentioned Wisky/Minnesota which I think would more consider each other primary rivals, especially in other sports too.

It's pretty clear we're the most hated team in the conference though.

I actually don't hate MSU at all. I hate you guys 100%.

If I had to feign extra college hate for anyone, it's Penn State, because I go to Pitt for law school, so I have extra incentive to hate PSU. But really, there's only one team I root to lose every time, and that's Michigan. Everyone else is just meh.

My professional sports hate is distributed much more evenly.

Funny, lots of MSU fans act like The Game has become an irrelevant, thing of the past, with OSU people no longer giving two shits about UM.

In the minds of many Sparties, they've supplanted Michigan as Ohio State's archenemy, such that MSU/OSU is now some premiere, nationally relevant rivalry.

Man, this one is tougher than I thought....

Ohio State - 60%

Michigan State - 20%

Notre Dame - 5% (as much as I am willing to care about ND)

SEC in general - 5% (includes Mike Slive, excludes Vanderbilt)

Penn State - 2%

Rutgers - 2% (because Rutgers)

Mark Emmert - 2%

Matt Millen PTSD - 2% (Lions fan thing)

Phil Knight's taste in uniforms (with noted exceptions) - 1%

The first week of bowl season - 1%

MSU 100%. There is no other team in football that I can never root for. I've never hated OSU, at least they have been a good program for the last 45 years. Spend 5 minutes reading the RCMB and I'll bet the % of hate for Staee would increase significantly.

50% OSU

30% MSU - neighbor behind me is a Sparty

15% ND - living in the Chicago area, too many golden domers around here

5% Illinois - only because they say they are our rival which is ridiculous.  Fortunately, they don't have many good years in which to be obnoxious about this rivalry farce.

somehow created this awesome rivalry in the Illini's minds.  They played us close in a few games and won a game back in the Mike White days.  Whenever they are half decent, all of sudden the rivalry thing is back on.  They should just stick to fighting with Northwestern over who is Chicago's Big Ten team.

Notre Dame - 99%

USC - 1%

Yes, I hate ND that much.  That burning flame of hate eclipses almost everything.

(USC is on that list for the $%#&&-ing Charles White phantom touchdown in the 1979 Rose Bowl.  I will never forgive them.)

Penn State 45%

Michigan State 35%

Ohio State 20%

I live in PA and go to Michigan now but everyone in my highschool went to Penn State and I just hate their reverence for JoePa and how cult-like they are. I hate how Michigan State acts so offended by everything and compares themselves to us at every turn. And beyond that I guess I just never really developed a special hatred for OSU. at least they know what they are, a football school, and they're good at that. But I still hate them a good amount

Honestly, mine can easily sway with the players. For instance, TJ Duckett, Charles Rogers, and Drew Stanton were three of my favorite players in College Football. Same with Golden Tate. But I currently hate those schools. So as of this moment:

60%Notre Dame

30% Michigan State's Fans

10% Whichever team spoils an upset on any given weekend

uncleFred

so I can only speak in generalities.

Every time I think I have reached my ultimate hatred for OSU, I find previously unknown reservoirs of utter burning hatred. Given this dynamic I have to put my OSU hatred at well over 100%.

ND: I despise Notre Dame with a deep passionate disgust for their continual special treatment by the press. Still compared to my hatred for OSU, ND falls short by half.

MSU: I never hated MSU, and I don't hate MSU today. I view their current win streak against Michigan as an anomaly that will soon right itself.  I do hate Dantonio and the way he promotes thuggry on the football field. As long as he is their head coach I will hope they lose every game they play.

My hate for Mark Emmerich and the NCAA as a governing entity cannot be quantified into actual numbers, so I'm leaving them out.

56% OSU.

25% MSU.

8% ND.

5% the SEC in its entirety.

3% USC.

1% each - Duke, Mizzou, Tennessee.
