My oldest son is home from the Army, stationed in Germany the last 2 years. Going to enjoy watching the game with him.

Sitting amongst mostly rabid degenerates. Griese hits Streets for a long touchdown in the second half. Then we ran the ball down their freakin throats to close it out. We didn't have a great year but that game set the stage for the 97 team.

I think he compares very favorably to the #1 pick in the draft Wiggins. Even his physique. The ability to defend 3 or 4 different positions. Good ball handling skills. Can create own shot. LaVert might even be a better shooter right now. This seems to be the type of player the NBA is craving right now.

I wonder how many yards he would have if the end zone quit stopping him. I think I saw Moeller say he's pretty good at football. I miss Keith Jackson calling Michigan games. I forgot the fourth thing

I'm a big Beilein supporter but I think Pop is the best coach in any sport over the last fifteen years

Great win, plus I work with an engineer from Ghana

Can someone tell JoMo Michigan doesn't stand a chance Sunday, there's no way he can matchup against Randle, a tip 5 NBA draft pick.
|22 weeks 6 days ago||Jordan Morgan||
I am 50 years old an a lifelong fan of UM and this guy is one of my favorite players ever. Do you think Bo would like him? Probably try to talk him into playing football
|26 weeks 5 days ago||I think it's easier for him||
I think it's easier for him to start that play on top instead of the wing. He can go either way or step back and shoot ala Burke.
|26 weeks 5 days ago||Stauskas||
I think we saw how the coaches will stop the small guard shutting down Nik. In half court sets put him on the top of the key to run pick and rolls. There is no way the defender can go under that screen with Nik's shooting ability. If he's late getting over it Nik has the lane to drive and if they switch Nik finds the open man. GO Blue

I think the Kansas game in the tourney we were down a billion, at least it felt like it. Not saying this is a good stategy to employ. I must say I never see the coaching staff panicking which has to be good. What about trying Stauskas at the point? working off high screens. Do you think he can handle the ball well enough?
|27 weeks 6 days ago||Double team||
Have to double team the big man as soon as he puts the ball on the floor. Tough matchup nonetheless if he's on
|28 weeks 3 days ago||coaching staff||
We don't really know how good we got it with this staff. No panic, no screaming at players or refs. Teams shut down our best players and we just have our point guard make them pay. The one consistent theme from the last 3 seasons is great point guard play. I hope we can keep Coach Jordan but some smart team is going to steal him soon.
|28 weeks 6 days ago||GR111||
I think the criticism of his play is a little overdone. Sometimes these forums make me wince. I don't think he has played well. I think there are some legitimate reasons and I still have faith he will overcome them. McGary's injury has affected Gr111 more than anyone else on the team. He is an undersized player at the 4 position. He's about an inch taller than Hardaway and probably not as strong and is being asked to guard 6'10" players. His role in the halfcourt offense is strange, and I'm not sure even the coaches know where he fits in until his ball handling and shooting improves. I trust this coaching staff knows what this team needs in March and are working towards that or else he wouldn't be playing. I will never forget that rebound last year that allowed us to beat Kansas. I think before he leaves AA he will be rembered as an all time Michigan great. Go Blue

That was the worst display of shooting I've seen in a while. They couldn't throw it in the ocean if they were standing on the beach.
|29 weeks 5 days ago||Contenders?||
I watched a lot of college basketball Saturday from teams all around the country and was not impressed with anyone. That includes Duke/Syracuse and that was a Great game. My point is we are capable of beating anyone. I'm guessing the next team to try to take Stauskas out of the game Boach B will exploit them.
|29 weeks 6 days ago||It was going to happen eventually||
Completely agree that Stauskas didn't make Ferrell even work on D. What did the guy play? About 38 minutes? What happened to pick and rolls from the wing? It looked like Indiana was switching all the time
|30 weeks 1 day ago||LaVert||
How about A C Green as an NBA comparison to LaVert. Great defender, could finish at the rim, decent outside shooter.
|30 weeks 1 day ago||half court defense||
I thought the half court defense was much improved, especially on the perimeter. Purdue did not have many open looks and when they tried to drive and kick out the help D came from the right spot and their shooters were not open. Just my opinion. Could be the opposition. We better take better care of the ball in Bloomington.
|30 weeks 6 days ago||Coach B||
I was away from my tv for a minute and missed what got Coach all fired up at the officials, guessing a missed call???
|31 weeks 6 days ago||Agree||
Looks like the Badgers are tired of shortening game with tough defense and long offensive possessions and winning 52-50. Still a good road win. Their home record is incredible.
|31 weeks 6 days ago||LaVert||
I liked seeing LaVert at the pg position at times in the second half. Coach Beilein has really built a very versatile team, second half adjustments will be fun to watch this year.
|32 weeks 1 day ago||Beilein||
I think the biggest factor for success in the tournament is having your team peak at the right time, which is tournament time. Although at the end of last year it didn't seem to me that Michigan was peaking, I remember Beilein being very confidant. And it bore out. I also think Izzo is so high on the list because of the tough early schedule State always has. Suffering a couple of early losses may hurt your seeding but it sure makes your team tougher in the end.

Cam Cameron, too late for Kiffin, he's going to Alabama
|37 weeks 2 days ago||Hand||
Does anyone with knowledge of recruiting think Hand might be in play again if Saban takes the Texas job?
|37 weeks 3 days ago||Chill out||
He's playing a new position this year. I have heard he worked hard on his ball-handling skills this past summer, this will eventually show out. He doesn't seem to have the motor his father had, but I'm betting that will come out yet. And I also think JB has him reigned in a little bit. But I'm betting that's JB's way of forcing him to develop half court skills instead of just top ten dunks of the week.

In a couple of years when Michigan is winning big with manball, most of these same critics will say we love it but we didn't have the players for it then. You can't ease into it. Brady is committed to it and I'm for Brady Hoke and Michigan. And Urban Meyer can go straight to Hell
