I resisted posting about him during that one after ruining game 5 with a mid-gamer.

Think they have a real shot against the Lakers. I will say no more to avoid further curses.

Define “real shot”? They said Portland had a real shot, and they lost 4-1.  Then they said Houston had a real shot, and they lost 4-1, and then they said Denver, the comeback kids, had a real shot, and they lost 4-1.  Going with Lakers in 5. Miami will shoot the lights out one night, but Lakers will be too much.  Lebron is on a mission.

All depends on how well the Lakers role players shoot 3's, and the Heat not turning it over (Lakers are spectacular in transition).

Bam is the best big AD will have faced all playoffs, but nobody is stopping that guy 1 vs 1. Bam might be able to force AD into a couple subpar games though.

The Heat know Lebron as well as anyone and have great coaching staff.  His midrange and three point shot seems to have greatly improved since his Heat days though, so they will probably devise a plan to high press Lebron, double him early in the half court to get the ball out of his hands and force others to make decisions.

I'm guessing Lakers 4-2, but I could see it going 7 if LA shoots poorly from the 3 over the course of the series.

Before the playoffs, and after the first game of the playoffs, everyone kept saying how shitty the Lakers three point shooting was.  They have been just fine in three rounds...and are playing incredibly well.  Not too worried.  Playoff Rondo is no joke.

And speaking of jokes, the Joker, not Bam, is the best big AD will have faced in these playoffs.  The Joker played bully ball and could drill open tre’s.

Lakers in 5.

Duncan is being paid 1.41 million this year.  By NBA standards for a starter, this isn't a lot of money although I'm sure he's not complaining. He is under contract for one more year at a paltry non-guaranteed 1.66 million.  Not bad for a DIII kid who went undrafted.

He's in the perfect place...Great coaching staff and a team that knows how to use his abilities.  Golden State would be another good landing spot.

But I really think the Heat are a perfect fit.  His defensive liabilities are covered by their team defense and rim protector Bam, and their offense is pass-first, find the open man, and almost no iso-ball.

I hope he gets paid and stays with the Heat.

I am in the Michael Jordan is the GOAT camp for a multitude of reasons, but the idea that LeBron has been anything but incredible on and off the court is just hate.

His only clear failures in playoff series were losing to the Magic in his first go around with Cleveland and then his epic collapse against the Mavs in his first year with the Heat.  The Warriors teams were stacked, and even before Durant arrived, Lebron lost Kyrie and Kevin Love in the first year the Cavs went to the Finals. Lebron is a hybrid of Magic Johnson (vision/IQ), Scottie Pippen (defense), and Karl Malone (physical force).  Not to mention his improved jump shot.

Regarding his attitude, good on him for speaking his mind about racial justice as well as putting his $ where his mouth is by building schools, community centers, and pushing for equal access to voting rights. "Shut up and dribble" is both condescending and moronic considering some of the uninformed talking head media entertainment folk posing as journalist on TV.

His biggest public/PR "mistake" was the televised "Decision", and he was destroyed for it. Meanwhile, Magic caught HIV cheating on his wife, Jordan had a very public gambling addiction, and Kobe had to defend a rape allegation.

And if you think he's arrogant, get a grip.  He's approaching billionaire status and has been the best player in the NBA for 10-13 years now - he's very grounded considering. No, he's not as clutch as MJ or Bird, but stop hating...he's one of the top 5 players in NBA history and, like Ali and Jim Brown before him, speaks out on social issues - whether you agree with his stance or not.

such a great story... amazing to see a kid that didn't even think he belonged a Michigan (at the start) just blow up to become a very good player in the NBA...

Looking back, its a shame he didn't have that level of confidence at Michigan in his last game.

Definitely cheering for the Heat
