Woodson wants The Game played at 3:30 or later annually
From the Det News.
But he, along with Eddie George are working together to generate interesting (sic) in moving the Michigan-Ohio State game to a regular starting time at 3:30 p.m. or later. The game Saturday is at noon.
The two worked on a Heisman Trophy commercial together and Woodson brought it up to George. George agreed to allow Woodson to use his name in a Facebook post to promote this option.
“This rivalry, for the history that it’s always had, it deserves primetime, and 12 o’clock is not primetime,” Woodson said. “We got a lot of response. Most say it’s tradition or it’s too cold. Ah, come on, man, we all lived in the Midwest. The cold is not an issue. And as far as tradition, it’s the game, not the time. Let’s start this movement.”

All these years I've been watching an uninteresting game played by subpart Michigan, and OSU teams.
What have I done with my life???
Next thing you kids will be asking for is fireworks after touchdowns again.

I don't like a true night game (for The Game) at ALL.
There's a fucking formula that I wish we'd stick to.
Noon games for cupcakes.
3:30 for big games.
1 night home game / 1 night road game.
That's it...why doesn't anyone listen to me!? I have to be heard!
In all seriousness...it's just like basketball.
White jerseys for cupcakes.
Maize for big games (home or away (if allowed)).
Blue on the road.
Just stick to the formula! I like the big and or important games at 3:30, no problem for me at all. MSU or OSU should never be a true night game, IMO. 3:30 and it'll be dark by the finish.

Basketball and Hockey break out the Maize for big games. Why shouldn't football do the same...at least on the road. Let's see what Jordan can do with a Maize top.

What are your thoughts on this?
Michigan vs. Notre Dame
- Series played every other year - this way each player generally gets one game at home and one on the road. However, each team can also have interesting non-conference games in the off years.
- Play at 8p on the Thursday BEFORE the first Saturday to open the season - I actually liked the Utah game this year, being the only thing on. I think the two most historic/winningest teams should open the college football season every year. This is also a small secret advantage because it gives you a couple of extra days to prepare and make adjustments for your second game.

It was just a cool coincidence and justification for opening the college football season with 2 historic teams.
Solid point about the students...however, are they back on Saturday if we played ND? I'm not sure what 2 days does.

I'm not about to go against Charles Woodson.

Noon for the top ACC rivalry (which I guess turns into Florida/FSU)
3:30 for Michigan/OSU
6p for Alabama/Auburn
9p for USC/UCLA (or USC/ND)
...I actually think that would be a pretty cool tradition for those rivalries

If these millenials truely do not want to wake up before 2pm to watch Michigan football. Then anything other than 3:30 pm please. If one more Michigan game gets put on the back burner because two rinky dink teams decide to tack on 30 extra minutes to the end of their game then I am going to start an unholy genocide on any TV in sight.

was a 3:30 start and was the highest rated regular season game since the 1993 ND/FSU game...and the only higher rated games since was 2011 (?) Alabama/LSU game...which was a night game.

I don't know that I've eaver been truly stuck on any game being at a particular time - in the days of networks, I've learned to essentially taken what I am handed and adjust my life around it if I can (this is not always possible, of course). I will say that I find that 3:30 PM works better now that I have a family as I don't have to rush out the door, can spend time with everyone, even run an errand or two and then go to the game.

Everyone before: noon or die
Everyone after: makes sense. I think it would be cool to have a 3:30 game!

And I'm sure there is someone who thinks it would be cool to be able to grow flowers out of your rectum. That doesn't mean that it is a good idea.
