Gordon got suspended for the season opener, so both parts of your statement are kind of false.
The one thing you got right: he is indeed a senior.
November 10th, 2013 at 1:35 PM ^
Has anyone ever told you that your posts make you seem like a condescending ass?
You could have easily said:
"Gordon was suspended for the season opener, so he hasn't started every game."
See the difference?
November 10th, 2013 at 2:33 PM ^
Tell me more.
November 10th, 2013 at 4:29 PM ^
No. I've told you enough. Plenty of people have told you that your superior attitude is unappreciated.

November 10th, 2013 at 5:12 PM ^
Well, false statements are also unappreciated.
And I've been on this blog for years, my attitude hasn't changed, and I doubt your comment is going to change my posting habits. But thanks, anyway.

I personally like Magnus nor do I think he's a condescending ass....
November 10th, 2013 at 6:48 PM ^
thought he was a condescending ass.. I did not like him very much at first. But over time I have learned to appreciate his condescending ass, maybe he's just an aquired taste.
November 11th, 2013 at 8:55 AM ^
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
November 11th, 2013 at 9:57 AM ^
I've heard that ass can be an acquired taste.
November 11th, 2013 at 10:37 AM ^
I've heard that his ass can be easily acquired for only $2.

Personally, I've come to love his salty disposition at times. I know whenever I see Brandon Graham's Press Conference Smile deeper than 3 levels down a comment stream that I'm in for good times.
Plus, he's kind of right, and ignoring the "team leader" argument about a guy who got suspended is pretty important.

I thought I heard Gordon had an injury of some nature and was limited to special teams and they benched Wilson to "shake things up" on defense.

Gordon was said to have an ankle injury which limited him to special teams. Seems like a cover up or something.

I saw Thomas Gordon after the game. He was walking from the tunnel to the Golf Course clubhouse. No boot, no crutches, no limp. He was (with family in tow) walking slowly, like a beaten human being; but so were they all.
I'd like to see the official participation report. I don't recall Thomas Gordon playing on special teams. Dymonte Thomas did; but I don't remember T. Gordon.
I think the wierdest personnel issue in the whole game was that it appeared that Bryan Cleary was going to enter the game for a banged-up Devin Gardner in the second half with the game still on the line. Cleary warmed up, helmet buttoned down -- looking like he was really getting ready to play, and not just warming up Jehu Chesson's hands.
Meanwhile, Shane Morris had a headset on the whole time.
I guessed that Devin was being examined, with the examination in doubt, but ultimately resolved in favor of his returninig to the game. But what about Morris?

He was probably benched he isn't very good
November 10th, 2013 at 12:26 PM ^
Yeah, I agree. The conference leader in interceptions sucks. Let's kick him off the team.
November 10th, 2013 at 12:49 PM ^
I believe he is also third in Division I in interception return yards and tied for second on the team in pass breakups as well. Unacceptable, right?
I really don't understand why people would throw statements like "he's not good" out there without checking their numbers first.

What's your point? Should we bench every player who's not elite?
November 10th, 2013 at 1:57 PM ^
November 10th, 2013 at 2:32 PM ^
you did invent the argument that someone said he is elite. Youre the only one who said that, the argument was whether "he's not very good" and the stats referenced certainly provide a rebuttal to that.
So maybe lecturing people on careful reading shouldn't come from you
November 10th, 2013 at 2:35 PM ^
Again, what's your point? Statistics are statistics. You can't argue with them.
You were presented with statistics. Now make a point, or stop whining about people using statistics to argue against stupidity.
November 10th, 2013 at 1:43 PM ^
You thinking he's looked mediocre doesn't explain him getting benched for freshmen, either.

November 10th, 2013 at 2:38 PM ^
Reading fail.
Some guy said Countess should be benched.
I said he leads the conference in interceptions, and therefore, he should probably not be benched.
Nowhere did anyone say he's "elite" or "above criticism" or "the best corner in the conference" or "an All-American" or a "first round draft pick." You were given statistics, jumped to a conclusion about those statistics, and then got pissed when the conclusion you jumped to was a dumb one.
November 10th, 2013 at 12:14 PM ^
He was probably benched he isn't very good

-1. Redundant. Not insightful.
November 10th, 2013 at 12:17 PM ^
about the players. Do not question the coaching staff, Dave Brandon, or oppose anything about the program. You will be tasered if you disagree with what the Michigan football program is doing or demand to know anything about anyone within Michigan football.
End transmission

Stribling was responsible for Kenny Bell gaining an extra 20 yards on that 4th-and-2.
Well, maybe not entirely responsible, seeing as Josh Furman basically let himself get pushed 20 yards downfield.
