I prefer blue or maze over white pants. The all white uni is to plain.
I prefer the Maize pants with Blue jersey but my next favorite look is this:
White anything is completely boring.
MEH...I prefer the bright yellow not that ugly gold yellow..makes the uniforms POP...Blue pants wipes that away..not a fan
At least with those blinding bright yellows I wouldn't be able to see the shitshow going on on the field.
Now that’s what I call glass half full
Wear purple pants...I don’t care...just freaking win.
Why cant they get the maize right...I dont get it? We went from highlighter to practically Iowa gold. What was wrong with it from the 90s to until Adidas took over?
Absolutely. Why screw with Maize perfection?
To validate your point:
I appreciate that Michigan is trying something new with uniforms without introducing something stupid like bumblebee patterns. I like the all blues over this (mostly because I don’t think the white jersey with maize sleeve piping matches with a plain blue pant) but it doesn’t look half bad.
I don't like these uniforms not just because they strike a wrong note, but because they remind me of 10 bad years of Michigan football:
I love the UTL I jersey. I’d be fine with taking the shoulder piping off though
Agreed, but I think if that UTL game had turned out differently (a devastating loss) then the feelings towards those jerseys would be more universally sour. It seems the main reason the UTL jerseys are somewhat popular is because of the mystique surrounding that game and the fact that it’s probably the best Michigan game of this century.
I don't give a shit if they wear dresses on the field as long as they win.
Change your name to east German gif...
It's better than red Gatorade.
I like it. I'd like to see some maize and white piping on the blue pants to match the white jersey, though. It's good to switch things up sometimes.
Agreed. It looks better than I would expect, and I’d be fine with it for a game if they just get the stripes matching.
I had that thought, too. As stands, it looks like he's working out in cutoff sweatpants.
Don't think a mountain of thought, let alone inspiration, went into this one.
It’s a helluva lot better than USC colors on will Johnson
Never punt wins.
They are fine. More of a maize park guy like a good chunk of folks here.
but yeah, don’t care what they wear…just win baby
nope
I dig the blues, but in a fist fight I'd still back maize.
Those are shorts
I'm not a huge fan of the blue pants, but I think they look better than the maize pants with the white jersey.
I've been watching Michigan football for a long time and I've never liked the white jersey -- maize pants combo. The maize just isn't dark enough.
Said in Russian accent like Irina in The Sopranos, while throwing Cheetos to the ducks.... "...They like it!!!..."
Meh. Don't hate it, just don't think that it's any better.
I like it. They can try whatever they want as long as they don’t mess with the helmets. Best helmet in all of football. I guess that’s technically an opinion, but you’re wrong if you disagree.
If they win I don’t care what they wear.
I don't care what color pants they wear as long as they return to pants that cover the knee with knee pads. Wearing jorts looks bizarre.
You shut your whore mouth
Jorts are my higher power
They're fine. Maize pants are much better. Why in the hell can't we just do a road uni throwback to the last team that won a national championship? I know, totally insane concept.
Agree and bring back black shoes
They did wear that uniform against PSU recently.
They wore a knockoff of it, but there was no block M on the sleeve and the collar was white. They just wore maize pants with the current road jersey.
Looks great!!
Yes! Give us those all-blue home uniforms! THAT would really make the helmets pop. I love those as much as I hate the maize jerseys, which are just a straight-up fail.
Its not bad. I loved our all-white 1973 (?) homage road jerseys when they came out in 2015, I still like their aesthetics but now they remind me of a lot of Bad Stuff.
I never want to see Highlighter Yellow again, its the mark of the RR-Hoke era. Though I did like the all-blue home jerseys we wore for a night game once, although the horizontal lines on them looked weird. The matte-blue helmets are still sharp.
The road jersey seems to be the only one with latitude for innovation. I loved the heavy-maize ones we wore vs UF in Arlington in 2017.
I was a pretty big fan of the road all-white uniforms when they started wearing them in 2015 and in 2016, but yeah I agree that they remind me of a lot of bad shitty moments and losses, and idk I’m just kinda burned out on them. If they still wear them for one game every year that’d be cool—I just don’t like them as the default away uniform anymore.
I wish they’d start wearing maize pants on the road (like ACTUAL MAIZE, not the shitty highlighter yellow garbage they wore with Adidas) and the white jerseys with maize bordering around the numbers and names. I think the current road jerseys are too plain, honestly. I see pictures of the road jerseys from the 2000’s pre-Richrod and really like them. I think the maize bordering really makes the jerseys pop.
For some reason it seems JH has disdain for the maize road pants. It seems like such a simple choice to go back to that look. It is clean, simple and recognizable at the same time.
These are better than the all whites at least.
LOVE IT!
The number would match the pants, just like home uniform. I'd love to see them go with it.
Make sure there is a maize block M so it doesn't get too Penn Statey.
If you have the blue pants then a Yellow Jersey would be cool. It would be the exact reverse of he home jersey. I never liked the all white Jersey. I remember them back in '75 when we played but loss to OU in the Orange Bowl. It was a tough defensive battle but that wishbone ended up being enough for OU.
Here's that game, just the plays:
I don't really like the white pants.
But what Ireally don't like is all of the Michigan "fans" on this site that are so ready and willing to buy into this current witch-hunt narrative driven by those wishing to sully our integrity.
It amazes me how so many attempt to jump and cling to the the perceptive moral high ground about such issues, without fully discerning the agendas by which they are being fed such "imformation'.
I've become to hate this 'blog'. First it was Gistapo editing tactics....not to mention too mucu RichClod and Bacon apologism.
Now, just outright fucking Mob rule. No sense.
Failure of Integrity and Honor.
You the MgoMob are not men.
You are NOT. Michigan Men.
Happy Monday to you too!
So...we are DEVO?
And he's Booji Boy.
