What are we drinking on tonight?

Submitted by Paly33 on

Since its been such a rough week for all things Michigan Football (except practice gate news), I think we all deserve a good drink tonight.

A toast is in order to Coach Rod some good news from the NCAA, players on the team for trying their best and representing Michigan with class.  Even to us for sticking by this team no matter what the outcome may be.

My drink of choice will be Belvedere on the rocks with a splash of soda...  How about you?

I was just about to go to the Liquor/Wine store (where I can't buy beer, thanks draconian Pennsylvania laws, seriously, fuck this state).

Anyone have any suggestions for me?  Let's say...wine or gin suggestions?

Will start off with some FOUR LOKO (never had it before, but I know its strong so no need to give any warnings), some Rolling Rock and then Gin and Scotch to finish the night. I am hoping that I can wake up on time for the game tomorrow.

Yes. I have refused to purchase MM since that ad went up. I don't know when I'll end my boycott, but it's going to be at least another few years. Which sucks, because it was my go-to drink-- just Maker's on the rocks. God that shit is delicious. But NO. Principles, man. Principles.

Taking it easy tonight, i think.  I just got word that my friends they need me to play basketball in a league game this weekend... they want me to play center... and i'm only 6'1'' at best.  Short team... we're screwed.... come to think of it... I might as well start drinking now.

I'm going to a fish fry for dinner w/ my wife and in-laws where I may partake of some cheap beer, but I will most likely pour myself a Jameson on the rocks later in the evening when I'm back home prepping for tomorrow.

Their holiday seasonal is pretty sweet, pun intended. The smell and initial sweet taste is peach. The finish is roasted pecan, which finishes very smooth. Tastes fairly light for the dark brown of the beer, as you could tell by how clear it looks in the picture.

Worth picking up a 6 pack if you're just getting into new beers. May not be a great choice for those who don't like the sweet, peachy taste.

tomato basil bruschetta served with Sartarelli Verdicchio from the Marche. Next, I will move on to porcini ravioli in a sherry cream sauce served with a little IGT (Super Tuscan to some of you) from Montepeloso. After that I plan on having Veal Saltimbocca paired with a bottle of the 1998 Cordero di Montezemolo Barolo "Enrique IV". For dessert we will be having espresso, biscotti and a bottle of the 2003 Viticcio Vin Santo "DolceArianna". If this isn't enough, we will move on to a bottle of 1978 D'Olivera Bual Madeira.....who am I kidding, I am going to drink three cans of Miller Lite, pop a Tombstone in the oven and then take my last pull off the Keslers Whiskey bottle.

In honor of all our former Canadian Wolverines (Here's to you T. Biakabatuka), it's a Labatt BLUE night.  I guess we should start drinking brews from Florida in honor of our new recruiting ground.
