Uniform Snowflake thread
Thoughts on Michigan's uniforms they rolled out tonight?
I liked the Blue pants. I think we could see those again some day. One of the main reasons they did a special jersey was so they could sell replica jerseys. Not many people who aren't named WD are gonna buy the pants at the garage sale.
I loved them. Took me a little bit to get used to them but best alternate since UTL I. The shiny stripes(?) made them pop a little bit more to me.

Oh come on, at this point you're just being grumpy for the sake of being a grumpy Michigan fan. Apart from the numbers, the uniform a pretty simple blue and it looked good on TV. My dad is a pretty old school guy and he liked them. Of course I like our normal uniform, but these weren't "awful" by any means.

Devin Gardner was #88.
Or #99.
Or #89
Or #98.

I still don't understand the logic behind these uniforms. What are the stripes supposed to mean? Why striped numbers? Who the hell designs this stuff?

The striped numbers mean "Fuck the fans."
Seriously though those numbers looked terrible. Without those I wouldn't mind them at all. I don't know why the designers can't just make one or two good changes. They always have to throw something dumb in there. Less is more. Less is more.

from row 42, Canadian? Try from row 78 directly behind you---it was impossible, even sometimes with binoculars. Like others (including the PA guy AND BrandstatterDierdorf on the radio) have said, 6 and 8 and 9 were very difficult to distinguish from each other---but from that far back, I'll add the numeral '0' to that mix. F those 'shutter' stripes; absolutely a bad idea.
As for the blue pants---they make our team look like they were all wearing those yoga pants that look good on the gals, just not on our football players.

Pretty AWESOME!

I wasn't sold going in, but I thought they looked great under the lights tonight. Better than the bumblebee suits.

Setting the bar at "better than the bumblebee suits" is setting it pretty low.

whether this is sarcasm or not. Same with your tag line. Well played?

I would like the blue pants much more on the road. Same color made me feel like they were wearing a Canadian Tuxido

and poorly executed!

They were ok but the whole game my mom thought it was raining cause of the shiney shoulder stripes

It's a shame non-consequencial matters like these affect you so. That's too bad...

Would you approve of those becoming the "official" UTL jerseys since we're not playing ND anymore?
October 12th, 2014 at 12:19 AM ^
I'd have to think about that one.
October 12th, 2014 at 1:14 AM ^
Sure, why not?
I'd also like to see the blue pants with the white road jersey for a game.

But I'd rather see us wear them in victory than our standard unis in defeat.

Loked like a long underwear outfit to me, but the game result is much more important to me trhan the fashion.

All maize? Eeeek. Too WVU for me.

I remember how we put numbers on the helmets for one game and the players really liked them. They decided to keep the numbers on the helmets. I think that team went 11-2. If that's what it takes (I know it's not) then I say wear blue pants for the rest of the season.

Apart from the numbers, they were clean and simple. I loved them!
October 11th, 2014 at 11:55 PM ^
reminded me of the St. Louis Rams or the Toledo Rockets. I think they'd look better with normal jerseys or on the road with white jerseys. I didn't care for the striped numbers.

Bleah. Stupid gimmick unis. Blue pants not end of world. Striped numbers look clowny. I guess there are some suckers who will buy the jersey. Hooray marketing. Personally I wouldn't wear one of those things if you gave it to me for free.
October 11th, 2014 at 11:57 PM ^
to make this an all blue versus all white uni match up. I didn't mind them as much as I thought I would but they are not my favorite. Maybe without the blue on blue stripes on the shoulders. ?also, I didn't like the stripes in the numbers.

The marketing team was trying too hard. Period.

I didn't like the all-blue look. The blue jersey/maize pant combo is perfect - no need to mess with it.
