At this point, players staying feels like gaining a committ.

so very true. we're trying so hard to maintain what we currently have, that anybody else coming on board just feels like a real big plus.

Any chance hoke can pull out the snake oil on Lawrence Thomas

1. Retire that phrase
2. No.

Any chance Hoke can pull out the Hokus Pokus on Lawrence Thomas?

Either sexy or violating.
Or both.
January 13th, 2011 at 10:21 PM ^
We just picked up two 5 stars named Mike Martin and Denard "shoelace" Robinson.
GO BLUE!

I just saw this too. Who knows, maybe he can talk some guys into coming to UM. It helps that we have a coach now and that Fred Jackson was retained. I guess we will just have to wait and see...

This guy, Justice Hayes, his town was just called Blanc, Michigan until he came along and made it Grand Blanc. Justice Hayes might just be the most competitive, most popular and most important commitment Michigan has ever obtained. He runs like Payton, has the moves of Sanders and God loves him more than Tebow. I was going to ask him to play quarterback but he said he didn't want to hurt Denard's feelings....kid's like that. But he doesn't just play, he recruits as well. He told me he had some coming in and I asked who it was and he said: Jesus, Mohammed and the Bodhissatva.

Not sure about their eligibility and the two seem a little small for our program.

Well,we have Denard at qb who is called Shoelace so I imagine that we could fit Jesus as a backup qb on this team. His nickname would be Sandals. FWIW, sources say that he sure could pass the "bread"
January 13th, 2011 at 9:35 PM ^
Rivals has him as a reciever out of South Texas. 12 TD's, all of them Hail Marys
January 13th, 2011 at 9:47 PM ^
His first big play, the play that everyone started to notice him was the immaculate conception........i mean reception.

But can he feed 105,000?
January 13th, 2011 at 9:30 PM ^
I don't buy it. Not even Fred Jackson thinks God loves Hayes more than Tebow...
January 13th, 2011 at 9:38 PM ^
Cool, can Jesus play corner?
January 13th, 2011 at 10:20 PM ^
for comment of the year. a lot of 2011 to go, but you've set a firm foundation

I think they were complaining about his being too reliant on Genesis, because he always talks about "The Big Inning" at his press conferences. If he can't turn it around, we may have to switch to Moses, who I hear has really been burning it up in the bush league.

Hoping for the best. Frost? Zettel? Bryant?
January 13th, 2011 at 8:59 PM ^
Obviously, as discussed by TomVH in his post today, it's vital that we get a DC as soon as possible to talk to these guys and just show them that our staff is complete. If Dallas Crawford thinks it's very important to talk to the potential DC, I'm sure these guys are feeling similarly.
January 13th, 2011 at 9:04 PM ^
For sure, getting a DC in next is top priority now. Once we get one it should secure Crawford. Taylor would be a great addition as well lets hope he is one that Justice is hinting at.

Is moving on from Michigan.
Edit: My apologies for the blank double post.
January 13th, 2011 at 10:46 PM ^
...TomVH post on the matter (around 8 hours ago...has something changed in 8 hours?).
January 13th, 2011 at 9:17 PM ^
I don't see why we don't get Bryant's pledge, Tom's saying that the hire helps with his recruitment. As for Frost and Zettel, it might be a sign to Frost that he wasn't supposed to end up at Auburn, but Zettel is looking more and more like a longshot, as I haven't heard his name in a while. Maybe some things change if Hoke gets on the phone and shows that he has interest. (He looked like a Michigan lock for a long time)
January 14th, 2011 at 10:38 AM ^
Zettel has been a Penn State commit for awhile now.
January 13th, 2011 at 8:50 PM ^
Well, feel a lot better now with this Justice League on our side...
January 13th, 2011 at 8:50 PM ^
Dallas Crawford, please stay blue!
January 13th, 2011 at 8:50 PM ^
I don't know if he really pulls in any recruits or not but I like the kid's spirit. Good to have you aboard Justice. To all of you out there thinking the worst for this recruiting class, I think the 180 that he pulled is reason enough never to give up hope.
January 13th, 2011 at 9:20 PM ^
if he's talking kids from his school, then they won't be much help. He is the only one from there who is ranked and has high-level talent
January 13th, 2011 at 8:51 PM ^
A recruit who is staying while trying to bring in more is always a + in my book
January 13th, 2011 at 8:51 PM ^
I would think Bryant and maybe Rawls.
January 13th, 2011 at 8:52 PM ^
Rawls needs an offer, first.
January 13th, 2011 at 8:55 PM ^
That's right. We are still waiting on his grades.
January 13th, 2011 at 9:00 PM ^
He's tight with Devin Lucien as well.
Lucien is my guess. Maybe Rawls as well.

...also heavily recruited by SDSU so he should already have relationships with the new coaches.
January 13th, 2011 at 8:51 PM ^
Bryant or Raymon Taylor. Book it
January 13th, 2011 at 9:17 PM ^
+1 for bringing me back to my childhood.
January 13th, 2011 at 9:27 PM ^
hahaha wow this was buried in the depths of my brain, it took me a few seconds to remember
edit: not sure DB would approve though
January 13th, 2011 at 9:25 PM ^
I'll only believe you if you BKFinest it.
January 13th, 2011 at 8:52 PM ^
I don't even care who the commit is... just getting guys in is great.
January 13th, 2011 at 8:53 PM ^
Ill believe it when I see it, love his attitude, but his been making these promises for a while that haven't come through...but def a very entertaining kid!
January 13th, 2011 at 8:54 PM ^
What other promises has he made that haven't come through?
January 13th, 2011 at 9:11 PM ^
which we affectionately call CC. Give him a break, he is obviously all in, and then some.
January 13th, 2011 at 8:53 PM ^
Justice Hayes is a true Michigan Man.
January 13th, 2011 at 8:53 PM ^
Justice is gonna be a special player at U of M. I hope Rawls can get qualified, those two would make this class a nice one for RB spot.
