You can have my muppets when you pry them from my cold, dead fingers. Enjoy your cold shower buzz killington, but this victory, and each subsequent one, deserves videos of Jim Hensons arm up Kermits a$$ singing songs of celebration.
"Razor Sharp" takes place in modern-day Detroit, and follows the adventures of Drew Sharp (not to be confused with Razor Sharp, which is the title of the book) who strives to overcome his undiagnosed retardation to become the 18th mentally disabled sportswriter in Michigan history. The novel is written in a first-person narrative, which I found helped me relate better to the protagonist, whose rambling and incoherent retard-speak flows so naturally you marvel at the amount of research the author must have done to reach such a level of authenticity. At one point, the dialogue becomes so frustratingly moronic that you shed tears imagining the living hell experienced by those with sub-par intelligence trying to stay afloat in an elitist society which places such a high premium on complete sentences and logic-based commentary. Bravo to the author (who for reasons unknown decided to omit his name from the book cover); you have given the 21st century it's first "Of Mice And Men"...it's first "Forrest Gump."
Unless Kelly has another student death or personally gets a cheerleader pregnant ND will rise from the ashes of mediocrity. Brian Kelly is great at finding raw gems and turning them into studs. Tony Pike was 4th on the depth chart at Cincy and flourished under Kelly. Lefevour was putting up Tebo esque numbers at CMU. The guy can flat out recruit, evaluate, and develop talent.
I wasn't trying to make the comparison academically. The Forciers are devoted to themselves being quarterbacks first and foremost. If you doubt this please check out thier website. If the school is not compliant in fulfilling this destiny they will find one that is. Tate's roadblock at Michigan is obviously different than Jasons, but the result will be the same. I really thought Tate would be able to pass Denard on the depth chart in Borges offense. Sadly that is now water under the bridge, irrelevant, moot. The word "bollocks" was invented to express how I feel right now.
hmm, this all seems vaguely familiar...(cough)Jason(cough) Oh well you know what they say "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, fool me three times and roofies were involved"
If you have to pick between a good OC or a good DC you shouldn't be a head coach. I just want the O to bail out the D when they have a bad game and vice versa.
you people are so easy to please. from morose to moths on crack with just a little good news. Thankfully the defense cannot be worse, but I wont be expecting top 20 just yet.
Marell Evans a two star Carr recruit left the team prior to the 2009 season over what he perceived as a lack of playing time and coaching uncertainty. He left with no ill will against then Coach Rodriguez.
In accordance with your comment I have plussed you 1 Mgopoint. spend it wisely.
Lets be honest, how many of you would still cheer the team if Saban was our coach. We would find a way to keep our disdain for the coach living in hormony with our love for the team.
First rule of coaching, never follow a legend. Even if you are the greatest coach ever, all your actions will be evaluated with WWLC do. You can never be as good as the Legendary Coach. Let someone else be the sacrificial goat.
Regarding your original question. There is nothing Joefan can do to get a coach hired or fired short of pictures with a dead hooker or a live boy. Alumni Donors and then former players have all the swag when it comes to moving coaches. So just buy your M-gear along with the occasional ticket, sit in the back of the bus and pipe down.
I would be curious what Coach Hoke saw in his 4 days on the job that would warrant a move like this. Hoke has never seen him in practice or coached him in a game yet he feels confident to move him back to the D-line. What did he see that the old coaching staff didn't. If we knew that motivation it would tell us alot about both coaches. Hope it works out
Anybody remember the stories of clandestine paper shredding from the last school we poached from. So how long before we have more stories filtering in from the West coast. OMG Hoke left me hanging, OH teh noes Brady left the toilet seat up, we are so upset.
By game three (Eastern Michigan) There should be enough tape that we suprise no one after that. The only suprise advantage will be with Notre Dame. We will need that advantage because Kelly found his Qback and should have the team humming when we meet.
Considering our defense was terrible, why would you want any of them back. Make the clean break and find a d coordinator who can restore some fire. I for one look forward to more stuff like this
Celebratory antics will cost you big time. You can lose the game if you celebrate the touchdown before crossing the goaline. Ask Kansas State how they feel? So handing the ball to the official will most assuredly be part of the training.
Sports Illustrated had a piece on college transfers and how it affected the players. Ryan Mallet was one of the few that did ok. When asked about his departure from Michigan, Mallet had nothing bad to say about the school; or Rodriguez. It was Mallets mother who started the whole "Coach ran off my baby"
Why are so many people making Hoke's success contingent upon everyone getting behind the cause and singing the fight song? This isn't Santa's sleigh needing Zooey Deschanel to sing Christmas carols to get off the ground. The fans didn't fire the last coach and our support or lack thereof will not get the new one fired.
Considering the millions of dollars in legal fees spent to defend Stretchgate, I would hope that Brandon and Hoke go all scorched earth on those three stooges of the Freep. I look forward to the verbal smackdowns of the future.
The support we give is merely an assent of positive feeling with no real ramifications outside or our little world. Yes, I expect some failure with Hoke based on lots of evidence of past performance and present conditions. It doesn't mean I want failure but I am pragmatic enough to expect a certain amount of it. If you a really such an uberfan maybe you should bet each weeks paycheck on a Michigan Victory. If you wont does that mean you are a hypocrite fan who is skeptical, having doubts and expecting some degree of failure?
So if we just stop speculating Tate will come back? Then once we know he is gone we need to be quiet? Are you familiar with the purpose of a fan forum? Please tell me you didn't sign up just to post that bit of wisdom.
The point of this topic is that if we have learned anything from the Rodriguez era is that a lack of internal support (fanbase, etc...) will doom a program from the start.
Bull. Joe fan has no impact on the hiring and firing of coaches. We are not responsible for the success or failure of the team. Our sole purpose in life is to buy tickets, jerseys, memorabilia, and such. It is the Alumni donors and former players who have the power to get a man fired not us. What we do here is nothing more than mental masturbation, making ourselves feel important as fans while doing nothing of substance. Don't get me wrong, I am fine with that, but I wish some of you would keep that in perspective when you make your "gotta support the Hoke or he will fail" comments.

Michigan=Notre Dame. Sorry people, don't fool yourselves, anyone who thinks firing RR was a good decision is without a doubt living in the dark. Last post ever goodbye
Think more like Alabama post Bear Bryant. They chased off a some decent coaches who were not from the Bear's coaching family and I see the same BS playing out here with the Old Guard wanting the mythical Michigan Man as a coach. Until the Old guard is gone we may be in for more of the same.

His review of Razor Sharp
Yup. Only reason I remember is because it was a bit of a headscratcher for John to start with two healthy experienced QB's ahead of him.
Iv'e heard that everytime someone decommits from ND a kitten dies.

Scout has an article on this breaking development but it is behind the dreaded wall of pay.
I do look forward to future slapdowns of the Drew "Hater" Sharp

Just some National Championship goodies. Beer stien and a sweatshirt. The wife decided the shirt would be good for painting in.

I would +1 you if I could for your clever fix
If
If Fred Jackson negbanged this, you would cease to exist (possibly your parents too)
This is my favorite usc cheerleader pic

If only we had a Mike Hunt on this team we would be epic.

And less of this
Is Ron English ready to come back?

Several teams want him as their D-coordinator. He interviewed in Buffalo.
I'd say our chances are nil. Maybe English wants back in?
Now I understand why the old guard gets so pissed about this stuff. Hey maybe you could start a thread about Cam Newton leaving Auburn.
Rivals has him as a reciever out of South Texas. 12 TD's, all of them Hail Marys
Not sure about their eligibility and the two seem a little small for our program.

What if Hoke denied the transfer? Considering M's shortage at QB would he pull a paterno?
Can we get Threet back, he has one more year of eligibility left

I wish Coach Hoke nothing but the best but I cannot forget the way they treated Rich Rodriguez.
(edit) Brian, your spam filter is wack because I had to delete almost any reference to things M related in order for this to post.

we return 20 starters, Denard has another year running the system but you see no way to predict future progress? Has Brian taught you nothing?

Shouldn't he be shredding valuble documents and student records by now?
When they released the Eagle for the Star Spangled Banner, did anyone else fear for the safety of the Oregon Duck?
You seem to have lost your grammar too. Plus you stutter. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
