TomVH: Avery Walls Decision Date

Submitted by TomVH on
H/T to Christian Sack on Twitter who told me Avery Walls will be making his decision on December 14th at 9:40am. I'll talk with Avery to double check later. I think Oregon may lead, he's hard to read though so I'm not positive.

Yeah, I don't really have a firm grasp of what he's thinking. He's done a good job of throwing me off. He still speaks highly of Michigan, but I'm just not sure.

Well, your gut feeling was off when it came to Sammy Watkins...

...so hopefully you're wrong about Oregon's lead, too, and he chooses U of M.

Not Tom and I don't remember when or where I heard this, but Watkins really likes Clemson's coaches and got along well with Charone Peake, current Clemson WR commit.

I don't think he ever liked the cold, but that might not have even been a factor.

I wasn't taunting TomVH.  Hopefully nobody took it that way.  I was just saying that maybe since he was misinformed about Watkins, his gut feeling about Walls be off, too, and then we could all be happy.

If Avery's Uncle has anything to say about it, he won't be headed to Michigan. His uncle posted on his(Avery) FB that he won't allow his nephew to attend college where the program is on probation. Just hearsay, but i thought i would throw that out there. Though Avery did say his uncle can be extreme at times.

I feel better about the recruits who are waiting until Jan/Feb to announce because we'll (hopefully) be passed the RR hot seat stuff. The fact that Walls is making his decision while things are still unsettled makes me think he doesn't need to know the outcome because it doesn't pertain to him. Hope I'm wrong.

Why play for a school that changes their uniforms every week?  Our helmets have wings, their shoulder pads have them.  Honestly, the helmet is much better.

Go Blue Avery.  We have lots of playing time available.

Oregon's engineering program is not ranked nationally.

UM's program is #7 by US News.

I'd be a little surprised if he went to Oregon given his stance on this issue...but the football is pretty insane at Oregon right now so you never know...
