Survive and Advance!

talking about UK/UL. Sorry we had to bother you with our scrub game Jim.
J Mo...I love you.
I made a bet with my friend from Tennessee that if Michigan lost this game I would move to Tennessee.
Never have I been more relieved.
I'd move to Tennessee. Maybe.
I need a drink. Almost gave new meaning to the MGoSaying: "Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory"
....beer. Now!
Survive and advance POSBANG!
At first I was like
Then I was like
That out of bounds call was horrid, absolutely fucking horrid and almost cost us. F*** those refs who had a replay available and still screwed it up.Anyh
Anyhow survive and advance. Still pissed.
my stream died literally the moment before Stauskas took his shot. I almost died.
Oh My. Of Course it would end like that. And no where will we get the recognition of how we dominated that game throughout. A fine played game for 18 minutes. A tense final two minutes but they pulled it out. Caris and Jordan on that last Tennessee possession had it under control!
its March, who needs recognition. Just keep wiinning.
Doug Gottlieb just talked us up and so did another guy... I think the coverage is fair...
And as for domination. We played a very good game but we did not lock it up at the end and we gave Tenn. a punchers chance. I gained respect for Tenn.

Fair enough. I do agree. The end of the game counts for quite a bit! It was such a great game for the first 30 minutes to me, though. Lots of beautiful basketball, even through to the 3-4 minute mark. But we just didn't put it away and like you say that's just as big of a deal as playing great for 90% of the game. Something they can learn from.
Michigan eFG% - 66.33%
Michigan OREB% - 19.05%
Michigan FTR - 20.41%
Michigan TOV% - 18.35%
Michigan PPP - 1.20
Tennessee eFG% - 55.36%
Tennessee OREB% - 34.48%
Tennessee FTR - 24.56%
Tennessee TOV% - 9.98%
Tennessee PPP - 1.19

That Michigan TOV% is appaling.
better give a little more effort on D going forward. just awful. caris wasn't much better. all week we were told to worry about their bigs. it was the smaller guys that almost did us in. this team totally lost their composure tonite. very unusual for them considering what they've done all year.
I'm of the opinion that pretty much everyone on the team is actually a pretty good post defender for their position. And J-Mo is great at it. It's the slashers that kill us, every time. We want teams that go through the post, even though we're small.
but nik and caris could give a little cushion on those guys, giving up the 15-18 footer instead getting blown by all game.
This game was a clusterfuck that coulda gone the other way but... when you fill out your bracket for this game, the ONLY thing that will matter is that Michigan's name is on the winner line.
emphasis on survive
Great effort by Tennessee, seemed like we let the foot off the gas in the last minute. Makes me pretty scared of Louisville pressure as well. No matter who we get next will be a tough matchup.
But Beilein will have the troops ready GO BLUE!
When Tennesse was down by 3 - I just had this vision of an ending like last year's Sweet 16 game.
Glad there wasn't - but it is all about playing on Sunday. And they are.

It felt like a coming clean on karma type thing...
and yet we prevailed so life is good...
I actually think this is good prep for louisville.

was you can't take plays off. You have to maximize effort every possession.
I'm hoping they learn.

Can someone help me out with a pic of the terrible out of bounds call that went against us? I haven't been able to find an image and I need to shut up some Sparty trolls.

why would you be at all concerned about shutting up some Sparty trolls?
