I hate sparty because all of their fans walk around with a sense of superiority even they have not even won 1/3 of the games in the football rivalry. Pride comes before the fall bitches.

yeah, the logic there was convoluted like a 2D NOE spectra. I actually think it makes perfect sense. I have never witnessed a fan base and athletic program talk so much arrogance after getting their first two wins in a decade in a rivalry that is so obviously dominated by the other team, as MSU has done the past two seasons.

Sparty Hate thread will flame out later in the week unless someone can get some bulletin board material from a player or coach to throw fuel on it.

Hard for me to come up with anything new.  Michigan State is short term annoying but harmless.  Ohio State, the site would likely crash.

Maybe some first time hate posters will show up and keep this baby humming.  We can only hope because it is an entertaining read.

How does a thread like this at all rise above the crappy trolling that MSU fans do? I know it's been said before, but let's not stoop to their level.

What's wrong with a planned out trolling? It's childish, immature, pointless, and does nothing more than annoy people.

What's wrong with starting a hate thread? It's childish, immature, pointless, and does nothing more than annoy people.

And how is saying things like

I pushed a Sparty down a flight of stairs today.

and

f*** state

considered trash talk? Trash talk typically focuses on something to make fun of the opposing team.

I hate State because they would rather see a Michigan loss than a Spartan win. I can honestly say I care more about Michigan win more than anything those dumb mouth-breathers are doing.

I hate state because of their extremely arrogant fanbase.

I hate state that they call people Wal-Mart Wolverines even though over half the people I know who are State fans never attended State.

My mgoblog name is a joke...I get shit from high school buddies all the time about being a "walmart wolverine."  Funny thing is, more than half of them grew up Michigan fans until they realized they couldn't get in.

Also, I know PLENTY of walmart spartans and I dont say a word..

Yes times 1000

A Spartan friend of mine even went to the length of posting it as his facebook status:

"It's definitely a victory when we top UofM in the AP poll :)"

Like really? They care soo much about us, that they don't even care that they're ranked Top 20 above 100 some odd teams, let alone Michigan.

I hate Sparty because it's so hard to summon up the energy to conjure strong emotion about them.  Yet we do feel compelled, for one week at least, to make this rivalry worthy of their frothing and scratching.

Heck, just typing that much, I'm probably done caring about MSU until 3:29 pm Saturday.  Yawn.

I have that worn out feeling on it too. Last night, all revved up, through a couple things down about how I hate them. But it felt hollow. My heart wasn't in it. I like a lot of the people from there.  Many of the fans are ignorant but not all.

In the end, ran out of gas and it became another game. A huge game for this team, but no bigger than Iowa, Wisky or PSU.

My earlier prediction that this hate thread would die off by later in the week looks like it is wrong. But I'll bet the house there won't be too many posters on more than 1 day.  It just loses it's luster.

Sparty is overall too harmless and the game is small in the bigger picture of this program's long term goals.  Michigan fans are good about picking their fights and conserving energy for the big boys.

Probably just be knee deep in all the nuts and bolts of the opponent and our game plan like every other week.  They are a good team and this is a great challenge.

The true Sparty haters will have to pick up the slack for me.
