Defense is absolutely dominant. Bolden still seems like a liability after some poor plays in the first quarter, wouldn't mins seeing more Ross than Bolden. Hopefully Mario O is good to go for Northwestern.

So 2 straight shutout games, 8 straight shutout quarters, only one score allowed in the last 15 quarters.

I don't care who you're playing, that is....

I thought this was hyperbole.  It isn't.  Likely had 91 yards on four kickoff returns and 23 yards on three punt returns.

Those aren't great numbers, especially by his standards... but they're more than their offense accumulated.  That's... incredible.

Thank you defense. Absolutely incredible job on the road. I don't care who the opponent was. There were put in some bad situations and dominated again. Really worried about Ojemudia though.

Like others, I am very concerned about Ojemudia - the crutches are normally a bad sign indeed, so hopefully we get some news soon.

A quick number - although the game seemed like it was dragging on second by agonizing second at points, Maryland managed only 105 yards on 62 plays, or 1.69 yards per play allowed, driven primarily by the wall that is our run defense - 1.12 yards per carry for the Terrapins this time around.

The play was right in front of me.  Everyone around me agreed that Michigan dodged a bullet*.  The receiver appeared to have half a step on the DB, and I'm not sure the safety had an angle.

* Note: only as related to the shutout, of course. :-)

The defense is full blown blizzard worthy. Back to back shutouts AND teams held to 105 yards of total offense??? By comparison... Maryland got fuck stomped 45-6 last week and still managed 326 total yards.

When the sideline reported that  Randy Edsall told his team "we can run on these guys, we did it last year against pretty much the same players."That  couldn't have summed up the difference between Hoke and Harbaugh any more.

but even great D's don't dominate those types of teams like that. I think we're solidly a top 10 unit, but I'm reserving 1997 and 2006 comparisons for now. The last 4 teams are fairly bad

there is no special teams snowflakes, so I will just put it here.

O'Neil is such a stud and a luxury to have. FG kicking, though we missed one, has been pretty good overall considering the unknown when the season started.

no blocked punts, but constant pressure, and we've been. lose a few times.

I think Baxter hire has been noticeable and very beneficial.
