I don't think I've ever seen a team and coaching staff spend all 12 weeks going through the motions like this.

It's not going to get better. Usually teams throw in the towel when they realize the futility of what they're doing. NW's entire coaching staff is fired at the end of the season, and the players are all auditioning for the portal.

That could well happen, but it's just weird to stress the "all 12 weeks" part when it's literally been one week.
I don't think they even mailed it in today, they just weren't very good.

Wild, we could really use AJ Henning, now he's on a team where he's featured like he wants...but they're fucking terrible in all facets of the game.
They may as well just move him to Wildcat QB. They're trying to get him the ball, but they're just not a good football team.

2016 Rutgers was even worse than this outfit.
NW is bad, but Rutgers is improved as well. This could be another painful Harbaugh early season game (2021 Rutgers, 2022 Maryland) where we try to impose our will and keep things vanilla.
They're going to be a lot better than they were last year.

Of course they're defending themselves more than anyone else. The four/five year seniors leading that locker room didn't get their roles hating everything about the horrific culture.

Northwestern is making Rutger look like CFP material. I don't think the fake fans will be attending games at Dyche Stadium this year. No need for the $800 million monstrosity.

I've adopted Oregon State and Wazzu as my two non-Michigan schools this season. Hopefully one of them wins the Pac in its last year. I feel so damn bad for them.

As bad as the cats were, 201 yds of total offense, they held the rutger to less than 300 yds. Respectable.

I almost started feeling sorry for Northwestern when Schiano kept his starters in to protect the shutout. Then they scored anyway .
