Shea Patterson Appreciation Thread

A sublime game. 384 yards, no INTs, swagger.

Will he repeat this the next few weeks? Hard to say, but huzzah for a hell of a game.

I am extremely happy for Shea. Played his ass off today and holds a new record for the most passing yards against Staee. Wow.

He has it in him, which is why he has been the starter all year.  His decision making was much quicker in this game.  When that happens, he's very good.

Yeah.  In my opinion, the game plan was superb, and more of a positive factor than Patterson's performance.  We got most, if not all, of our athletes involved by passing the ball a ton, including short passes flanking MSU's stout inside defense.  In addition to Bell, Peoples-Jones was on fire.  Eubanks, Collins, and Johnson all got TD receptions.  Giles Jackson was our leading rusher.  Sainristil and McKeon each got a couple of big receptions.  Tarik Black got a big 3rd down catch (with the silly penalty afterwards).

Have we finally mastered the offense?  Or was this just a reflection of the dismal State secondary?  Either way, truly a game for the ages by Shea.  We will need an explosive offense against Indiana next week.

Great to see Shea having a breakout game! Admittedly, have been critical of Shea's play all season but he finally looked like the much better QB on the field. Yea, go do it again next week on the road vs Indiana.

Shea played a great game.  He should be the starter.  I admit that I’ve both questioned that and have reinforced that.  However, will say, that he hasn’t “turned the corner”.  His balls are still a lot of times off target and he doesn’t read the field properly.  I am not saying D-Mac or Joe would do better.  Just looking ahead (and kind of in retrospect) as to how those little nuances in a close game could cost the team against good competition.  Regardless, great win today!  Go Blue!  Fuck State!  Beat IU!

His timing was SO much better than normal.  Still a tiny bit off at times when he doesn't quite lead a receiver as much as we'd like . . . but holy crap what a career day.
Good pocket awareness, seeing the field, tough, decisive, touch on the ball when needed.

Very happy for Shea, hope he can build off of this.

Amazing, record setting performance.  Yeah, he dorfed a few but what mortal college QB doesn't?  It is very comforting to know that we now have a working passing game to burn opposing defenses when our running game isn't moving the ball.

He now has the most passing yards of any Michigan QB ever in an MSU game.  Former record holder is the excellent Mr. Tom Brady.

Great game, Shea Patterson!  There are lots of us Wolverine fans who are grateful that you are a Wolverine.

This is another game that is a big, wonderful "FU" to the haters out there.
