RR on sportscenter
RR was just on ESPN. Here is the rundown of what he said:
- Proud of Denard Robinson thought he was very calm and composed
-Tate and devin are still competing getting better, which makes Denard better
-Same preparation this week as any week
-Not worried about ranking
-18-19 guys first road game is very important for them to stay calm and relaxed
-ND shows a lot of odd fronts and has very active linebackers
-Hopes it's not a high scoring game
-Very proud of staff, players, and fans for sticking with the plan
-Steelers and Lions fan
-Takes the Patriots and Lions in the Super Bowl
-Never thought about coaching in the pros, he's very happy where he's at.

He's not transferring is he?!

Tom VH called his dad in the 'holler' and he said he's not going anywhere.

Thank god, because our depth at Head Coach is thin as it is.

Shouldn't you be able to know what is going to be said by reading the future, Oracle?
September 9th, 2010 at 1:57 PM ^
What an jerk. He is very unfriendly.

gotcha

smart man - focusing on michigan-centric nfl teams with his predictions.
September 9th, 2010 at 1:58 PM ^
His AFC picks are both quarterbacked by former UM guys (Brady and Henne).
What a Michigan man...
September 9th, 2010 at 1:59 PM ^
That was about as vague of a response as possible to the question "Would you have aspirations to coach in the NFL some day?" Basically said it'd be great but he loves where he's at.
September 9th, 2010 at 2:20 PM ^
Fortunately for us, nobody else wants him, anyway.
September 9th, 2010 at 2:22 PM ^
what I was thinking as well. No reason to get ahead of ourselves, just thought I'd share that piece.

and still likes them, but also roots for the Lions now.
September 9th, 2010 at 2:12 PM ^
Does... not... compute.
I thought he liked football.
September 9th, 2010 at 2:18 PM ^
If he likes the Lions, RR is guiding UM to become the Lions!!! .... or maybe not, but it sounds like some crazy hysteria we would hear somewhere
September 9th, 2010 at 3:40 PM ^
the Lions appear to be trending in the right direction and they are doing it the right way with quality players that have good work ethics and the right attitudes. Emulating that work ethic and attitude is not a bad idea, emulating the product on the field is a different story.
September 9th, 2010 at 2:15 PM ^
Thanks for the sympathy pick of the Lions in the super bowl Rich ;). Lol.
September 9th, 2010 at 2:20 PM ^
give Michigan fans alot of confidence. I listened to the same interview and Rich sounded excited but you could tell he's holding back and that he knows that the team still has a lot of work to do to prepare for some tougher competition. He sounds like he's got it under control. GO BLUE!!
September 9th, 2010 at 3:28 PM ^
i'm like WTF alot on these boards, so it's helpful to know that the Alot has no idea why I'm saying that to him, as if HE did anything to piss me off...

was also on ESPN's College Foorball Live. Said
Win was big..just wanted players and coaches to have fun
ND will be great challenge.18-19 .freshmen's first road game
Pretty much what they expected when they evaluated tape of ND
Players are very focused, coaches tried to shield the players from all the drama, let them focus on school work and football.
Robert Smith said key match up is NDs WR against UMs "beat up" secondary...Capt Obvious.
Also said the reason we went to 3-3-5 is because we don't have enough big bodies, as we have small bodies, but the problem is we don't have enough small bodies either. Freaking OSU punk
September 9th, 2010 at 4:34 PM ^
is Robert Smith trying to say we have a lot of medium bodies? He is a terrible analyst.
Last time I checked, our biggest body is in the two deep...
He must have been referring to Ray's "stumpy legs" as the too small. /sarcasm

the clip of Robert Smith's first touchdown today on College FB Live?? This dude was puking as he was fallin into the endzone...what a clown boot
