Couldn't agree more! …

Couldn't agree more!  Harbaugh looks like he's going through the motions.  Players haven't developed like they should, the defense looks progressively worse including the bigger and bigger beat downs from OSU, and the offense has yet to start a QB under Harbaugh that looks like he's in control.  I'd like to see a HC change but at a minimum, we need an overhaul of staff starting with Don Brown.

Like always, Go Blue!

Nearly an all new staff does…

Nearly an all new staff does sound appealing, considering the current situation.  Honestly, though, I would rather move on from Harbaugh at this point.  I've been a Harbaugh supporter trying to keep hope alive, but for whatever reason, coach/team chemistry, staff issues, whatever; it's just not working.  We should have had atleast a couple of trips to BIG Championship game by now and it seems we're still miles away.

Campbell seems like a good coach, but it's still Iowa State, and a Campbell hire to me would still feel like rolling the dice.  Not much to get excited about.  In any case, Go Blue!

I feel like the only reason…

I feel like the only reason Warde would do this is because A: he feels an obligation toward another alumni or B: he just likes Harbaugh and is helping him save face.  Other than that, I don't see how doing what he's doing improves the situation for either the coaching search or the recruiting trail.  If Harbaugh is staying, he'd tell everyone.  If he's leaving, I think its better to rip the band aid off and start the nation wide search early for recruits.  In any case, for Michigan's sake I hope Warde does indeed have a master plan or somehow Forest Gumps us into a good situation for the future.  Either way, GO BLUE!

As much I agree that our AD…

As much I agree that our AD has an unbreakable relationship with Harbaugh, I just think the damage is done and there’s going to be way too much pressure on him to part ways with our coach.  The problem I have as a fan right now is that I can’t come up with the next coach that would be a confident hire.  I feel like all the names that are thrown out there are just rolling the dice.  Shaw is good but not great.  Fickell is literally the last coach of OSU that Michigan beat.  Hopefully some name emerges that looks good but right now I’m nervous about the future of the program.

I agree with you.  He’s a…

I agree with you.  He’s a good player but trying to do too much this year.  It’s exactly why we’ve seen more turnovers from him that don’t resemble the Xavier from a year ago. We need more players involved each possession meaning more ball movement.  His suspension might end up being a good thing by forcing others to get more involved.

I think Xavier being out…

I think Xavier being out could end up being a good thing for the team.  Watching the games, he’s a great player, but he’s doing too much.  We need more players involved/stepping up.  1 or 2 players touching ball each possession is not going to win many games.  I’m hoping his being out gives inspiration to DDJ, Brooks, and Wagner to step up and play better as a team when they don’t have anyone to lean on.

Go Blue!!

100% with ya.  He was 1 …

100% with ya.  He was 1 "legit" call away from being in the BIG championship game and going to the playoff's in his 2nd year!  I haven't wavered from the fact that we have one of the best guys in the business as our coach and I think  we're in for a great year.  Go Blue!!

I know it might sound cliché…

I know it might sound cliché but I think its too soon in his tenure at Michigan to say its a success or not.  I still think he's on the list of best coaches in the NCAA and we're lucky to have him.  I have no doubt that he will bring Michigan back to greatness in time.  But man, I'd be lying if I said that I'm not extremely excited about Wariner as the OL coach and the idea of Shea Patterson taking the snaps.  Not to mention the returning starters on D.  I know its a tough schedule, but this D should have a great shot at winning on the road, especially if our offense starts rolling this year.  The Notre Dame game can't come soon enough.  Go Blue!!

Just win.

Now that we're in full swing of the BIG play, each win is gonna come hard.  As long as we come out with a W, the stats and the score do not matter.  Looking ahead, it'd be really nice to get a win in Nebraska, and against Rutgers at home before going to Purdue for a grudge match.  All things the same though, I think we are in a good position to make a decent run at the BIG title this year.  We just have to get it done on the court.  Hell, if we hadn't had the ref's rip away the W against Purdue, we would have 2 top 5 victories within a week and be 1 game out of first with a home visit from OSU stil ahead.

Go Blue!!

Great that we're ranked, but

Our focus has got to be on the BIG title, because it's sure as hell within reach now.  With our remaining schedule, we're going to have Purdue on the road and OSU at home for difficult wins.  Other than that, (on paper) we should not lose another game.  That at the very least would only give us 4 losses in the BIG.  If we get the OSU game we should have the crown or tie.

Go Blue!!

By no means am I an expert evaluator, just a fan.

And as a fan, I’ll admit that I’m further in a state of uncertainty if Enos is the new OC, because I’ve never heard of him before we considered hiring the guy. I’ve been the guy who has been hoping that we hire a “Big Name” coach that would generate a ton of excitement amongst the fans and players going into next season. That being said, I do trust our head coach to make the right decision. And honestly, with Black being healthy and Shea coming in (assuming eligibility), and the personnel maturing another year, we should make a big leap forward no matter what.
Go Blue!

Amen brother.

I’ve been saying we need to go after Lane for awhile now. He’s a great offensive mind and everybody in the country knows it. It would be a shot in the arm for our current players and recruits alike. I feel like we could use a change.
Go Blue!!

All I can say

is that I hope this catches fire and leads to an expanded playoff.  We need at least 8 teams, and 5 spots should be reserved for the champs of the power 5 conferences.  Two SEC teams in the title game is a joke.

Go Blue!

Great News!

Defense will once again be filled with beasts. If we get this offense turned around we are going to be deadly! With Patterson coming...I’m getting more optimistic by the day.
Go Blue!

Hit the nail on the head.

"Also I can't tell why the playcalling went to shit this year, is it Drevno or is it Pep? The o-line should be way better so thats on Drevno, but the shitty playcalling and just the design of some plays, I'm not sure."

I've been thinking exactly that same thing.  The math doesn't add up.  I guess I'm hoping replacing a new chief OC with a big name will help take care of multiple problems. Its also hard because I still trust Harbaugh and he should get the staff he wants.

Go Blue!!

Lane Kiffin

He would definitly be a shot in the arm to a program that could really use a jolt with a, hopefully, star QB ready to take the reins next season.

Go Blue!!

Cooter maybe, but definitley like your line of thinking.

What would really give this program a shot of adrenaline would be a big name OC to come in and shake things up on offense.  What about Lane Kiffin?  I'm not a huge fan of his either, but fact is the guy knows offense and is recognized nationally for his skills.  Whomever we choose, I'm with ya in that; Drevno, I love ya, you're a classy guy but I think we need to part ways.

Go Blue!!

Agreed.

Our guys are very young on a big stage. They’ll be a lot better next season just because of natural growth of young players. I do question a lot of the play calling during the game. However, chalk it up as a reloading year and move on. Go Blue!

Michigan wins big!

I just gotta believe that with the return of Peters and Hurst’s announcement that this team’s energy level is going to be through the roof. I think Harbaugh does a great job in preparing for this game and we have a repeat of what happened to Florida a couple of years ago. Then we as the fans have a full 8 months of getting jacked for next season! I think Michigan wins 41 -10.

Go Blue!!

Proves UCLA is a good team.

Next in line will be Texas. Shaka Smart is one of the best in the business. It’s very possible we already beat 2 tournament teams before the bulk of conference play. I’m sticking to my guns and saying we end up second in the conference with maybe a shot at the BIG title if MSU has a let down. We’re a good team. It’s gonna be fun to watch.

Go Blue!!

So much talent!

I think it’s very likely he makes tremendous strides in performance
and intensity next season. With Black back as well, we’re gonna have one heck of a dual threat for receivers.

Go Blue!!

Agreed. We have to see

A lot more than just a few successful plays to grade a QB. Not to mention, I’m not sure how many guys are returning on offense next year, but I assume they’re losing at least a few. And who knows what affect that will have on his rhythm.

Go Blue!

Great win!

Alot of guys stepped up in this game.  Rahkman, Wagner, Robinson, Simpson, the list goes on.  I thought our boys showed a sifnificant toughness on the road last night.  Mobamba was a force underneath and we seemed to handle it just fine.  If we keep playing with this level of intensity, we're going to be right there in the mix for the top of the conference.  Heck I was even thinking that Beilein was more intense on the sideline as well.  Once again, great win guys!

Go Blue!

Game plan should be the same

Regardless of who shows up on the opponent’s side. The boys need to be aggressive early and drive the seams. Taking the 3 when the opportunity presents itself is a good thing with this team but they’ve gotta keep an eye on where the bread and butter is and that’s with the higher percentage shots closer to the rim. Also I’m curious as to how Wagner will step it up on defense. He’s shown before that he has a lot more left in the tank than how he’s performed in the last couple games. I think we win this one and keep gaining confidence. Go Blue!!

The fact that Harbaugh recruited Shea says

He’s probably expecting him to start. You can argue that lack of depth is a reason to go after Patterson, but I think that may be a stretch with Peters, Mccafrey, and soon to be Milton on the roster. Call me crazy but I feel like Harbaugh would have passed on Shea if he expected Peters to be “the man”. However, it doesn’t really matter in the big picture. With either Peters or Patterson starting at QB, one thing is for sure; the bar has been raised. It’s gonna be a really fun year to watch football in 18’. Go blue!!

This had to have cracked the universe somehow

For Paul Finebaum to have his hand forced to say something positive in Harbaugh’s direction. This is such a great show of recruiting by our coaches. Well done guys! Go Blue!!

I don’t think we should be focusing on who starts.

Harbaugh will start the best guy for the job period. But more good competition for the spot only raises the bar for all the QB’s. If Peters beats out Patterson or vice versa, then we know the team is in good shape. Another thing to keep in mind is that Harbaugh wants this and is pursuing it. I trust his judgement. It’s just fun looking at film of Patterson and knowing that this is the “minimum” we can expect for next season. We’re gonna be deadly next year! Go Blue!!

Great news!

It feels like a leg up on even the good news about 5 stars having interest in the school. Shea and Anderson are top recruits with proven division 1 experience. This undoubtedly at the very least sets the bar high for expectations in next season. I can’t wait to see these guys play and apparently we should get to see them as early as this spring. Kudos to coaches for getting in on this. Another reason to be greatful to have Harbaugh as our HC. Go Blue!!

In summary, this is good!

Shea’s obviously on another level of talent than we’ve had in awhile. I’m not saying Peter’s can’t get there, but Shea’s gonna set the bar very high. In any case more tough competition for QB is good for the team. I hate jumping the gun on predictions as much as the next guy, but dammit this Is reason to be geeked about next year! Go Blue!

It’s a sad truth

But there is literally no advantage to Hurst for playing in the bowl game. I’d love to see him play but purely for selfish reasons as a fan.
Go Blue!

Maybe this was already stated

But do we know exactly what 3? Shea Patterson is one for sure, and I’m guessing Anderson because he’s visiting with Patterson, and then I read that Little is not interested. So what other one of the 7 originally listed is the third? Again I apologize if it’s already been said. Go blue

There's always going to be value in a BIG Title

Every season the team has 2 goals in front of them, a conference title and then a national title.  Last year PSU won the conference and not the national, and same for OSU this year.  A BIG title will always mean something because its completely democratic and that won't change even with an expanded playoff.  But 4 teams just aren't enough to put an end to arguments and politics.  At the very least, we need all power five conference champs with an automatic seed and then a few at large bids.  8 would be my minimum number, mabe even 12 so youd have some teams with bye rounds.

Anyhow, doesn't really matter for us with the talent we have coming up.  That title will be ours soon whether its a 4 or 24 team playoff.

Go Blue!!

No doubt

Adding another elite QB recruit to the mix only strengthens are team and raises the bar in the competition.  Just like anyone else on here, I don't care who's name is on the jersey for the starting QB as long as we have a high level of play.

Go Blue!!

Always nice to beat up on the SEC

Should be another good game for Peters to gain experience with a win.
Go Blue!!

The more the merrier, but

We haven’t even seen DMacaf in a game yet. We have no way of knowing if we already have our man on the team in Ann Arbor that will bring us a national title. But the more competition at QB the better. Go Blue!

Ohio State seems to always

Get preferential treatment. (just to quote Desmond) However, I think this one’s a moot point and Wisconsin gets it done. Then I think you’ll be left with Clemson, Oklahoma, Auburn, and Wisconsin. Not sure how they’ll do in the playoffs but every point/win makes us look better.
Go Blue!! Go Big Ten!

Good to see

I'm not the only one saying "The sky is not falling".  Michigan has had some dumb luck combined with questionable calls to get us to this frustrating state of mind.  Had "the first down" call gone the other way last year in Columbus, we'd have  a conference title and possibly another national title banner on the wall right now (we would have atleast had a shot at the playoffs).  Harbaugh is a great coach period. We've got a returning QB with Peters next year and maybe a great QB to step up in DMcaf along with many other good returning players.  The future looks bright and I for one can't wait to see the revenge games in Columbus and East Lansing next year!   Go Blue!!!

The key I see

just like every other Beilein team early in the season, is finding out what they're strategy will be when things run cold.  Beilein does a great job of recruiting shooters and picking key personnell he expects will find some chemistry.  But with that, there's always a point early in the season where Michigan finds itself struggling to hit its outside shots and it goes into a scoring drought.  And last year we had great point guard who could drive as well as Wagnor and Wilson to bust in there and break the drought with a close basket.  Who's going to be that guy this season?  Wagnor looks like the guy at times but he also likes to shoot outside.  So tonight I'm excited to see who will take charge when things aren't going well.  Mathews? Wagnor? Rahkman?   Its gonna be interesting.

Go Blue!!

Looks even worse the second time!

Warde needs to take this video along with the statistical chart of calls in favor of and against our team under Harbaugh to the BIG and demand some answers.  At the very least there needs to be a push for some  new rules put into place with regard to officials for next season.  Combined with last year, it sure looks like the bias has gotten out of hand.  Never the less I have every confidence in our coach to rise above this and win in the future.  Go Blue!!

Call me crazy but this seems like a good sign

for the future.  Whether Speight is taking off because of some feelings of being slighted for splitting reps. is kind of irrelevent.  The fact is he doesn't see himself as a clear starter because of Peter's success and DMcaf sitting on the sidelines.  This should inspire our fanbase to look ahead.  Speight wasnt a bad QB overall, especially in 2016 and he, himself doesn't think he's the best QB on the team.  I for one am really excited to see what we've got leading this team going into next season with the DMcaf and Peters QB competition.  I'm already planning my trip to Columbus to see us beat them in their own house!

Go Blue!!

Amen brother

Warde needs to stick up for this coach and his program.  It's gone well beyond just mindless whining when there are blatant statistics to prove the bias that has existed since Harbaugh took over.  All the fans want is to watch our guys get a fair shot.  Hopefully they can clean this up before next season.  Go Blue!!

I think what you’re looking for is

They’re not a machine! They’re men!! No pain!

Kids can surprise you.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t see any rhyme or reason for burning a red shirt and starting a true freshmen with no game experience in the biggest game of the year. But I’m with you in that Peters surprised me and I’m assuming he also surprised the coaching staff otherwise he wouldn’t have been behind O’Korn for so long. He stepped up and gave this team new life that we didn’t expect was there. So now you start thinking that maybe DM could surprise us in the same way. Maybe. Maybe not. I trust Harbaugh to make the best decision. The bigger question in my mind, will be our offensive strategy. In any case I got Michigan pulling this one out. They’re hungry! Go Blue!!

We are Michigan

What's the point of this post exactly? To prove that we'll never be "great" like Bama? And u post this on a pro-Michigan blog site? Let's not forget that this is still just football and still at the collegiate level. Bama has to deal with kids, 18 years old who have to be trained to make it at the next level just like everybody else. Sure Bama has great players, but since when has Michigan not been capable of getting great players? Someone responded earlier by listing all of the shortcomings Michigan experienced in past bowl games as evidence that we've never had that national championship caliber teams... news flash, Bo got out coached. I can't remember all the times I saw Michigan down in points in the fourth and screaming at the TV screen "Throw something!". Just the same in 2006 UM and OSU got out coached. Florida ran the same play down the sideline like a dozen times and the Def. Cor. never defended it. We may have gotten our asses kicked against a very good national title Bama team, but who on this site will tell you that they expected us to be competing for the title this year? We knew we weren't there yet. But that doesn't mean that I don't fully expect Hoke to come back with a vengeance in a year or two and compete at that caliber. We'll get there. Just gotta have patience. GO BLUE!!

MSU's offensive line is too weak.

Looks to me like its going to be very similar to the Northwestern game this past weekend.  Michigan will be battling in the first half to stop a few of Dantonio's "trick" plays and end up neck and neck.  Second half i think Mattison closes up the holes on D and as long as D-Rob has a decent game its game over.  Michigan wins by 10.

GO BLUE!!

"So you're telling me there's a chance..."

The way I see it, Michigan has three make or break games in order to finish in the top seat of the division; Nebraska, Michigan State, and OSU. If they can come up with 2 of 3 wins in these games, they have a very realistic shot at finding themselves in Indy.  However, Its too early to make predictions.  We're just starting the BIG 10 play.

GO BLUE!!

I just don't see any

scenario playing out where our program was better off with DB delaying the decision to fire RR, unless he nails a "BIG" name as the successor.  He's going to have to come up with a name like Gruden that would undoubtedly send recuits flowing our way.  Otherwise, the delay wasn't fair to RR, the players or the fans.

As much as I hate to admit it,

Rosenberg is dead on in this article.  He also makes the good point that the UM coaching job is a far more scarce commodity to come by than an NFL job.  The NFL will always be there but the UM job could be once in a lifetime.

For that reason, I think If Brandon parts from Rich Rod, Harbaugh's coming our way!

GO BLUE!!!

Agree

The Big Ten is much deeper this year than in 08'.

You know that Brandon

has to have a plan when he keeps everyone in limbo about Rich Rod.  The question I have, is that if Harbaugh is not coming, then what else could be the reason for his actions?
