I held out slight hope on Odoms. Damn. My favorite player.

Hmmmm....this isn't negative enough for me. I think someone needs to ask him a dumb question to get him going.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:42 AM ^
You mean dumb like this?
Rosenberg: "So Rich...... Do you think you'll get fired like right after the game or do you think Brandon will wait a few days and then fire you?"
Or maybe Sharp asks it. Either way I would love to see RR come off the podium and just punch them in the head.
December 18th, 2010 at 3:33 PM ^
Unfortunately, the result would definitely be him getting fired.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:02 AM ^
The one about Gallon seems a bit odd since Devin seems a lot closer to Relf's (sp?) size and play style.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:03 AM ^
Did you miss the D. Gardner medical redshirt thing?
December 18th, 2010 at 11:23 AM ^
I didn't think that practicing had anything to do with one's ability to take a medical redshirt. I also don't think that Gardner is actually injured.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:24 AM ^
I didn't realize that medical redshirt involved not being able to practice either, which as I'm typing this makes perfect sense. Sorry for my idiocy
December 18th, 2010 at 11:36 AM ^
... is you can get a medical redshirt for a hangnail, so I don't think it has to do with his health... after all he was showing off his great dance moves, which could be difficult with a bad back. I think they may just want to go live on the qb (or close to live), and they can be more aggresive on Gallon.
December 18th, 2010 at 5:59 PM ^
I agree, but I don't think Angelique has a great sense in "good dance moves."

December 18th, 2010 at 11:03 AM ^
I guess the MSU QB must have had a problem with fumbles this year.

December 18th, 2010 at 11:44 AM ^
he seems a bit short to be effective there even in practice... People were complaining about Denard and Forcier being too short for QB and they're both 6'... but isn't Gallon like 5'7'/5'8''' or something?
December 18th, 2010 at 11:51 AM ^
Seriously though, from BlueSeoul's game notes, Miss.St. doesn't throw from the pocket very much at all so height is much less of an issue. Having someone the same size is probably well down the list of priorities for scouting this offense. You need someone who can execute all of the options and make plays with his feet. Gallon ran this O effectively in HS. If you can get guys to Gallon, then you can get guys to Relf.

That video is from his Junior season, but it gives you an idea of how effective he was running that offense.
December 18th, 2010 at 8:15 PM ^
Thanks for this, I have never seen his HS tape. Cant wait for him to get involved in our offense!
December 18th, 2010 at 12:18 PM ^
Apparently you guys have no idea how practice works. The reason Denard is not simulating Relf is bacause he is busy working on our offense not because he can't pitch the ball well..
The scout team simulates MSU's plays against the 1st and 2nd team defense. The scout team is usually made up of walk ons and redshirt players or players that won't likely play. Gallon will be playing but because of the unique skill set they thought it valuable enough to move him to the scout team for part of practice.
December 18th, 2010 at 5:38 PM ^
I think most of us were wondering why not Devin Gardner, or someone closer to Relf's size... I think everbody knows it wasn't going to be Denard
December 18th, 2010 at 11:03 AM ^
I'm glad to hear Denard's practicing however, he was listed as Questionable in the initial injury reports

Hello Kris Frost, Anthony Zettel (and distant hope) Tim Jernigan.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:45 AM ^
Didn't he drop Michigan a few days ago?
December 18th, 2010 at 11:07 AM ^
December 18th, 2010 at 11:08 AM ^
Jeremy Gallon: 5-8, 180
Chris Relf: 6-4, 240
Something's not adding up.... we just must not have anybody bigger who can run an offense like MSU's.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:20 AM ^
The tweet obviously excluded the part about Gallon wearing lifts and a sumo suit.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:27 AM ^
December 18th, 2010 at 11:46 AM ^
Can he dominate that offense like Pryor?
December 18th, 2010 at 11:45 AM ^
If we get used to chasing Gallon, Relf will seem slow...
Don, can I have 10,000 points?
December 18th, 2010 at 2:53 PM ^
I was mystified by that as well. Maybe he has Vinny Smith on his shoulders. Too bad DG is "injured" he would be a good Relf imitator.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:10 AM ^
Just a few highlights.

OMG DO THEY ALL HAVE THEIR WINGS?!
December 18th, 2010 at 11:16 AM ^
How do they know Gardner is a good dancer if his back is mangled? Hm? HMMMMM?

Do the worm. On Barwis Beach.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:23 AM ^
Nothing to see here Big Ten officials. Surely the tweet forgot to include the part about Devin dancing in his wheelchair.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:17 AM ^
Thats all.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:23 AM ^
Thanks for gathering up the tweets. It'd be nice to make an app that would gather only useful tweets. I guess that would be what.... about 2% of them? =]

Is that BWC in the photo? That guy looks to have a nice big salad of hair and looks to weight about 380....it doesn't look like Will but it appears to be 73 on the jersey
December 18th, 2010 at 11:37 AM ^
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's Campbell. If he were 380, he'd be bigger than that.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:56 AM ^
Any idea why he is not a monster run stopper in the middle like we all expected coming into this year?
I thought we would have him and Martin in the middle... oh, wait, only room for one in a 3-3-5...
We could have had a pretty nice 4-3 defense this year IMO
December 18th, 2010 at 11:59 AM ^
The only thing I've heard that that he has the mentality of an offensive lineman, and doesn't play low enough.
December 18th, 2010 at 12:21 PM ^
If this is serious than you have got to do some catch up on your football news. Campbell was moved to offense, because he wasn't getting it done on defense. If he was good he would have played. This had nothing to do with the scheme etc..
December 18th, 2010 at 7:24 PM ^
They seem to run the ball... alot... Even if the 3-3-5 was working well for us, I'd still hope we'd change things up. God help us if we try to stop their power run game with 6 men in the box.
December 18th, 2010 at 11:30 AM ^
Are they wearing the Whites or the Blues?
December 18th, 2010 at 11:34 AM ^
Blues.
