I hope he does awesome there. Expectations are certainly low enough that he's probably got a little more time than we gave him

Damn.  Sucks that he is in the PAC12.  Late night games for us East Coasters make for rough sundays.  I was hoping for an ACC, SEC or B12 team.  Good Luck RR.

Think about those Oregon versus Arizona matchups down the road. With the tempo both will want to play at it could be epic.

Add "Christmas card for John U. Bacon"....since 3 weeks after Bacon's best seller comes out and paints Rich Rod in a most favorable light, he gets a gig.  Christmas cards and some of Rita's holiday dip to the Bacon Residence this Christmas.

Arizona - Oregon should be a fun game to watch for quite a while.

I wish him well (just not at our expense). But seriously. I hope for the AD's sake he had a conversation about his plans for the defense. I'd assume that RR learned his lesson and comes with a plan, but in the words of another RR, "Trust but verify."

Off-topic: Why is it that so many football coaches wear pleated khakis in an era where pleats are generally felt to be unfashionable?

All kidding aside about RR as a coach, he really does seem to be a good family man and father.. his kids seem great and he always includes his family in his career... that is a plus regardless (irregardless as RR would say) of his coaching skils.

There could be a potentially interesting Rose Bowl match-up somewhere down the line.

I'm sure his son is happy to spend his teenage years in AZ. There is lots of talent at U of A and Arizona St.
