Hello Thomas.

He's no longer waiting for NSD?

There wasn't anything about Fisher in that article...
February 1st, 2011 at 1:11 AM ^
In addition to Traverse City West offensive lineman Jake Fisher, who is scheduled to announce his decision no later than Tuesday, U-M is in on two other players according to Farrell. One is linebacker Leilon Willingham of Denver. Willingham committed to Texas A&M in December but made an official visit to U-M last weekend. Receiver Frank Clark of Cleveland has U-M in his top three along with Michigan State and North Carolina.
From The Detroit News: http://detnews.com/article/20110131/SPORTS0201/101310415/Flint-Northern…
Rivals/Scout/TomVH said Fisher's announcement is on Wednesday, though there is some discrepancy as to the time. (Fisher's coach told Rivals/Scout it was Wed. morning and Fisher told TomVH it was Wed. night. The article doesn't even mention Cooper or Bryant.

+1 for beating me...technically. On a more serious note though the article still didn't say anything about Fisher committing, which is what this part of the thread focused on.
February 1st, 2011 at 9:53 AM ^
I enjoy nitpicking:
See, this part of the thread was about when Fisher would commit, right? Okay, so an article saying he'd announce no later than Tuesday is pretty in line with where this part of the thread was headed...

this better not be a teaser like the outside of the pants rub i had at the bar last nigh. Fisher would be a great get (retain?) for this staff and the team

The dreaded O.T.P.H.J.
February 1st, 2011 at 10:09 AM ^
I think you mean S.P.D.U.T.T.O.T.P.H.J
it's sandpaper dry, and under the table, and we are back in middle school

Care to be a little more specific. Last I heard there was a tweet war between TomVH and a bunch of other people over 8 on Wednesday was 8pm or 8am, and apparently Tom won (Like he wouldn't...). Am I too understand it's changed since then.

Trust Tom, not some writer for the fabulous Detroit media who is reporting second hand news from Mike Farrell. Farrell didn't even mention that we have a chance with Cooper or Barnett, so I wouldn't invest much into what he says. Willingham, Clark and Fisher are announcing on Wednesday, and Barnett on Saturday.

Welcome aboard. Nice to see his hard work pay off in the class room.

This class is rawling along! (Sorry bored 3rd shifter.)

Hello: Tommy Rawls
January 31st, 2011 at 11:18 PM ^
That's awesome. I feel like he has huge upside. Like the kind of recruit other teams google 3 years later and are like, "How was he a 3 star?!"
January 31st, 2011 at 11:22 PM ^
5 to go! Very niiiice!
January 31st, 2011 at 11:22 PM ^
can sleep better tonight. I hope the snow storm does not impact other recruits. Come on Jakey Jake, Come home.
February 1st, 2011 at 12:35 AM ^
Considering this storm is expected to affect roughly 1/3 of the country I'd say maybe Ann Arbor should get a pass for being hit hard with snow this week.
Plus you can't build snowmen out of rain drops now can you Oregon?
January 31st, 2011 at 11:24 PM ^
Anybody notice in the article they referred to Frank Clark as a receiver?
January 31st, 2011 at 11:26 PM ^
Clark's listed as a possible TE on both Scout and ESPN and it has been speculated that he could end up there if he goes blue.
January 31st, 2011 at 11:37 PM ^
It also might be because I'm tired and my brain is fried from homework, but I don't think they mentioned Cooper as one of our potential recruits. Seems odd because our chances with him seem a little better than our chances with Fisher, but we'll see
January 31st, 2011 at 11:24 PM ^
You will happy with your decision. The best years of your life are going to be at the University of Michigan. It's good to be blue! Good luck kid.
January 31st, 2011 at 11:25 PM ^
Hey, no preasure. Welcome abord.
GO BLUE!
February 1st, 2011 at 6:20 AM ^
No happy ending?
January 31st, 2011 at 11:26 PM ^
Sweet! Gonna be a beast in a few years.
January 31st, 2011 at 11:28 PM ^
I know that a few of you might be scheptical or not want him because he is rated low, but this guy put in the work to have the opportunity to school here, while defying the steep odds against him.
As for the ratings/rankings? Rawls is extremely talented and underrated because he wasn't seriously scouted by either service because of grades according to Allen Treiu of scout.com.
January 31st, 2011 at 11:29 PM ^
Welcome TRawls. It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine. Work your tail off and enjoy your time in A2.
January 31st, 2011 at 11:32 PM ^
He's been his biggest fan/supporter the entire year.
February 1st, 2011 at 6:08 AM ^
His fellow Flintstones. He wants Flint back from MSU.
January 31st, 2011 at 11:36 PM ^
Interesting, I didn't know Jeremy had a brother
January 31st, 2011 at 11:44 PM ^
With a younger brother as well...(ball boy on last year's sqad)
January 31st, 2011 at 11:40 PM ^
Welcome aboard.
It's always great when the kid is as excited to come to Michigan as we are to have him.
January 31st, 2011 at 11:46 PM ^
There's some really good competition at RB developing. Marvelous!
January 31st, 2011 at 11:56 PM ^
They have been postulating on The Fort that someone may have let this slip when they weren't supposed to, and I am inclined to agree. Considering that Rawls changed his announcement day to tomorrow, why let the news out late on Monday nite? Sure, we all knew that TR was Blue, but I really think he wanted to have the presser and enjoy this great time in his life, for something he worked so hard to achieve. I really think someone (Markowski? Freddy J, Jr?) goofed up here and inadvertently stole some of Thomas' thunder.
February 1st, 2011 at 12:04 AM ^
None of the Detroit media folks on twitter that I follow (Wojo, Chengelis) or TomVH are retweeting this story or answering questions about it. It makes me wonder if they're holding off out of respect for Rawls. It'd be very disappointing to work so hard to achieve an offer from Michigan, a childhood dream, and have a leaked news story take away your thunder.
January 31st, 2011 at 11:59 PM ^
is this story not up yet on rivals or scout, reminds me when the first rich rod firing story came out .It's just wrong, let the kid have his moment.
January 31st, 2011 at 11:59 PM ^
We can't help if someone reputable breaks the news citing his coach....
