I'd love it if Carr and…

I'd love it if Carr and Martinez both commit, and then we can swing for the fences with Henning and 1 of the other taller guys (Dottin, Holden, Hester). Carr looks like a great jumbo WR and could create mismatches from TE or from the slot as well. Martinez is just a great athlete and all around football player. He stands out at WR at camps and is a natural playmaker. Seems like a perfect fit in Gattis offense.

I don't think it is as easy…

I don't think it is as easy as Webber simply apologizing. I don't think he can. Pretty sure he lied about everything to the grand jury, and he was facing some pretty stiff penalties until Martin died.

Didn't Milton play 2 snaps…

Didn't Milton play 2 snaps against MSU? I thought he ran it on designed QB runs.

He's being looked at as a QB…

He's being looked at as a QB by IU, BC, and a few others, but most others see him as an ATH. But he would fit what Nebraska would want at QB. It seems like Notre Dame was looking at him as a safety, so he is definitely versatile.

Excited Cameron Martinez,…

Excited Cameron Martinez, 2020 QB/ATH from Muskegon, is making a visit. He's currently only a 3*, but with the season he's having he's almost certain to make a big jump in the rankings. Definitely an ATH/DB prospect for UM, but the kid has intangibles that can't be taught and has played his best in big games against Detroit King, Warren De La Salle, and Muskegon Mona Shores.

Elite Camp

Yes, he came to the Elite camp at UM in street clothes and just hung out with the current players the entire time the camp was going on.

Naked Gun
So many great lines:

Nordberg: Drugs...drugs...
Lt. Frank Drebin: Nurse! Get this man some drugs! Can't you see he's in pain?
Nurse #2: (Administers drugs)
Nurse #2: [administers drugs]
Nordberg: No...no...heroin Frank, heroin...
Lt. Frank Drebin: Uh...that's a pretty tall order, Nordberg. You'll have to give me a couple of days on that one.

Lt. Frank Drebin: Like a blind man at an orgy, I was going to have to feel things out.

Lt. Frank Drebin: Like a midget at a urinal, I was gonna have to stay on my toes.

Definitely recommend watching again as an adult.
Joe Schad

How the hell is McMurphy out of a job, while Joe Schad is still employed. I have never seen him break a story, at least one that is correct, adn he always offers a regurgitated, vanilla take on any story he covers. Completely worthless, and it is even more obvious as people like McMurphy get the ax.

Jerry

No doubt about it. If you want to talk about holding an audience, not many did it better than Jerry and the Dead. He may not be as eccentric as Mercury or Mick, but that is because he was way too busy jamming on his guitar. But man, did that guitar just suck you in!

Dunaway

Dunaway is a 2017 recruit. 99% chance we take another TE in 17, whether it is Tennison, Falo or someone else.

Competition

I think I remember this being a recruiting tool used by the coaches. They said you can have the #1 or #2, but they promised it to a bunch of players and they all committed. Then, they said that it would be a competition to see who earned the right to wear the numbers. Don't have the links that stated this anymore, but I do remember hearing rumblings of this in late January.

Grapetine

This is Carl Grapetine, MMB announcer since 1970 and current PA announcer of Michigan Stadium. He is still alive, so it shouldn't choke you up.

NCAA

I feel bad for the Ole Miss women's basketball team, because you know the NCAA will lay the hammer down on them for this type of behavior by the football team!

Combine

Yeah, and evaluating college players film is so effective that the NFL doesn't need pro days or the combine...

Hands

I believe there are some concerns about his hands and drops. Also, the fact that there is a really strong chance that he is moved to S instead of WR.

Graduate

I have read before, both here and on other boards, that the problem with retiring Woodson's #2 was the fact that he didn't graduate. No idea if this was speculation, or an actual requirement, but he would be the first player not to have graduated to have his number retired iirc.

Dele Harding

Scout still lists Dele' Harding as a commit, while the other sites no longer have him as a part of the class.

Fisch

I've heard some rumblings that he may be taking Fisch with him. If I remember correctly, we were able to get Fisch for $200,000 this season becasue he was still getting something like $1.5 million from Jacksonville after he was fired. He took the job cheap to allow him to coach with Harbaugh while still getting the other $1.3 million from Jacksonville, as the clause in his contract said the buyout was lowered if he took other employment. I had figured he'd only be here this year anyways due to this, but I feel this will also be a big loss if he leaves with his ties to the south for recruiting and his knowledge of a strong passing offense, which I feel is evident after the progress of our QB and WRs as the year progressed.

Tunnel

We run out of the tunnel. GAME OVER!!!

BYU

Similar at the BYU game. No actual flyover, but 1 or 2 military planes did fly close to the stadium. Loud enough to hear and see them, even in the distance.

Trieu

Trieu saying UM stopped recruiting him a long time ago. Looking like ND.

MSU Career Opportunities

MSU: #1 Ranked Waste Disposal Program in the Nation!

JBC PB&J Time

Heard the same

I've heard the same, but they better hurry if they want him. If Miami has another down year, I could see them firing Golden and making a strong push for RichRod. He would kill it with the recruits he could pull in there.

Inside knowledge?

You seem pretty certain about Dele, and are almost defensive when it comes to him. Is there any personal connection or inside knowledge with you in regards to his recruitment? If not, just wondering why you are so certain.

Medical

This is essentailly what Austin Hatch received. You still receive all the benefits of an athletic scholarship, however you do not count agains the 85 scholarship limit. A lot of times these players will become Grad Assistants, but can't dress, practice, etc.

Pipkins has had an ACL injury, which still doesn't seem 100%, as well as arthritis in the knee as stated in the article. He also suffered a neck injury and has had several concussions. While it may not be the perfect reason for a medical, it isn't totally shady either. They can justify past injury concern here.

(No subject)

Skim milk?

Skim milk? Are you calling Ruddock a candy ass? Jimmy better get that guy some whole milk!

710 is oil

710 is vaping marijuana oil. Flip 710 and it is OIL. Used in vaporizers.

High School

Austin's high school is Onsted.

Reasonable Doubt

They were simply going for the reasonable doubt defense. There was no murder weapon and no witnesses, so they were just trying to establish that the prosecution hadn't met the burden of proof. Tried to use a bogus PCP rage claim for the other 2 guys he was with that night. The prosecution had a mountain of circumstantial evidence. Enough that the defense admitted Hernandez was at the murder scene in their closing arguments, but that he didn't do it.

Don't worry, Urban will visit you

Urbz and Hernandez

Injuries

I'm guessing that Pipkins, Fox, Ross, Taco and others are left off due to injury? I hadn't heard of injuries to Ross, and also thought Pee Wee was playing this spring as well. Really surprised about Ross given Durkins recent praise of his spring in the recent interview. Any info on these guys or others left off the rosters?

Kugler

He is a redshirt sophomore. In a healthy program, this is usually the time that OL start to emerge. Not everyone is like Cole and comes in and makes noise early in their career on the OL. I for one am happy that we will finally get to the point where we can play upperclassmen on the OL and not scramble to fill holes with young players who aren't ready.

Rashan Gary

Yes, Rashan Gary. #1 DT, #2 overall on 247 composite.

http://247sports.com/Player/Rashan-Gary-31787

coaches

Still feel that Manning gets on the staff. I think either Fisch or Doughtery will get the last coaching spot for the offense, but not both.

Not so fast

Whoa Whoa Whoa!!! He has a title!

Signed,

J Ira and Nicki Harris

Not sure that's accurate

I don't think that is accurate. I have a picture with him from a game in 91 at the Big House. Still a long time ago, but it wasn't 87.

Drevno

Pay sites were saying he was already in Schembechler working yesterday.

Andy Moeller?

Ummm...Andy Moeller was 1st team All Big Ten LB in 1986 and a co-captain of our 1987 Rose Bowl team. I think he has some Michigan ties. Oh yeah, and the fact his dad was the head coach and Andy was a OL coach for years in the early 00's.

Surprised

Not surprised about the money to compensate the move from the NFL back to college, but I would be surprised that a career OL coach would be given co-OC responsibilities when he has never served in that capacity. That would almost be as dumb as letting a career DL coach be a head coach, but UM wouldn't do anything that stupid.

Jay Harbaugh

Jay is Jim's son, not John's.

Like/don't like

I like a bracket with Nova and Virginia as a 2 and 3, but I really don't like OK State as an 8.

Practice

Pretty sure there is a practice today, so I am sure they will be in attendance for that. And always a good time to beat the buckeyes with recruits in town!

DG

Don't forget that DG will be extremely limited in spring practice as well. Good for young guys development, but not for a great 2014.

OIHO

Well, they should send him to the University of OIHO State University. Have her give Cardale Jones a call about how nobody is there to play school, just football.

Until you pin me, George,

Until you pin me, George, Festivus is not over!

Haden @ USC

Pretty sure I remember Pat Haden at USC saying he also watches film. I know USC is no Michigan to many on this board, but I am sure plenty of ADs with football backgrounds do this as well.

Visits

Which schools has he visited? I thought only UM, MSU and OSU. It looks like he is visiting bama this weekend and Florida the next. Has he visited FSU or LSU yet? The Army bowl is January 4th, and I can't see him committing to a school he hasn't visited

Tirico

Tirico would also still be doing MNF, college bball, NBA, Golf as well as some tennis and ESPN personality show fill-ins. I am sure 13-14 saturdays wouldn't be too much or too little for him, especailly since 7-8 would be spent in his hometown.
