I don't know anybody on NJ that took the ACT. I'm not sure people in NJ even know that there is an alternative college entrance exam.

More kids take the ACT than the SAT now. It's accepted nationally and all kids should be encouraged to take it. More competitive northeast states that were traditional SAT strongholds have started waking up to these facts.

It doesn't appear that the ACT should conflict with the timing of the visit. I cannot find anything that suggests an ACT is being give in early August, so that is additional good news.

I'm sure Harbaugh will give the best impression on Gary that he can possibily give, but his recruitment is going all the way to NSD or whatever All-American game he's playing in.

Settle in for the long haul.

his ACT will conflict with the date lol. This isn't about Gary specifically but recruits in general unless they're extremely high on you or already on board. Whenever a recruit gives a condition for why they may not make a trip it tends to occur. Nothing wrong with that as it's their life and I might hypothetically wake up the day of a scheduled non-official visit and not feel like going out of just not feeling like going. That morning I might change my mind even if I really planned on going. I do that all the time in my real life, lol. It just seems to be a trend that any caveats or roadblocks to a recruit visiting (that they mention) tend to pop up. I think it's their way of saying "I want to go as it sounds like something I'd like doing but if I don't for any reason just chalk it up to XYZ". Sometimes they might not know how to say "no thanks" to coaches or friends going so they say "I'm going. Yeah, for sure. Definitely. Well, as long as XYZ doesn't pop up" when they never wanted to go. I hope he makes it but it seems like in those situations XYZ tends to pop up. I'm a bit of an expert in the "I'll totally be there! Well, unless XYZ pops up but I'll be there....I'll very likely be there....unless XYZ but I'll be there" game lol.

I am getting sick of this recruiting game bullshit.

If I am Jimmy I say we are not holding spots. We hope to have a spot left for you RG and we want you to play in the Big House.

Shit or get off the pot man!

Yeesh. I guess it's time for these stupid posts again...

Rashan Gary is a rising senior in high school. The first day he can officially decide his college destination is in early February, which is over six months from now (unless he enrolls early, which makes it about five months). The window lasts until April 1, 2016. This "shit or get off the pot" stuff is nonsense.
