Pressure is on OSU

This could not be setting up any better for us.  All the pressure is on OSU.  They have to maintain the streak.  They have to maintain the playoff position.  They already clinched the division.  We can play loose and free and see where we end up.  I like our position.  We absolutely have to stop the run to have a chance.  This is where our thin d-line could be trouble.  Go Blue!

This is where a playoff expansion would benefit. Lower the schedule back to 11 games pushing rivalry weekend to before thanksgiving. Have the conference championship the weekend after thanksgiving. First round where the champ week is now. Losers of champ week and the rest of the teams are bowl eligible and the winners obviously stay in the playoff.

If students need to sell their tickets it better be to other uofm students and not to the general public. Home field advantage is huge and we can’t mess that up.
mill be home for thanksgiving but I’ll be dammed if I don’t drive back for the game Saturday.

You do realize that there are a LOT of Michigan fans, alums, PLAYERS from Ohio, right? I understand the hatred, but the generalized Ohio only produces people who are poor and stupid argument is asinine. As much as I hate it, living in Ohio has been fantastic for me financially. Columbus's job market is great and cost of living is much lower than comparable booming jobs markets like Nashville. Believe me, I'm in the fuck Ohio State crowd and most of their fairweather fans, but let's not attack anything but their horrible taste in College Football. Ohio is actually a pretty decent state and has produced two of our Heisman trophy winners and lots of our basketball success. I'd rather we steal all of the talent in the state like we used to than constantly call the entire populace mouth-breathing cooler-poopers. Fuck Ohio State and Go Blue! Let's end this nearly decade-long misery next weekend so I can float when my father-in-law and annoying little nephew come to Thanksgiving dinner mere hours later.

I won't be able to go this year -- this will be the first UM-OSU game in AA that I've missed in 18 years.

So, three things:

1. This pretty much guarantees a Michigan win, because I won't be there to see it (notably, other games in the past that I've not been able to attend include MSU 2004 and PSU 2005).

2. Maybe I'm a fucking curse, because since 2001, I've only seen two Ws over OSU, so...maybe it's time for me to sit this one out, anyway.

3. I sold my tickets to a true Blue Michigan fan whom I know personally, because fuck selling to OSU fans.

Well...that's one way to look at it. Ha!

Quick recap of my experiences --

2001 - L (My first UM game in person since about 1993, which was my first one)

2003 - W (Just a terrific day, and I'll NEVER forget it)

2005 - L (THAT ONE STILL PISSES ME OFF)

2007 - L (Absolutely miserable game)

2009 - L (Even more miserable than 2007)

2011 - W (Finally...but....that OSU team was just plain bad, and we turned it into a pretty close game)

2013 - L (Actually had fun at this game; we weren't expected to even sniff a W, and nearly pulled it out)

2015 - L (I don't talk about this one)

2017 - L (Actually had fun here, too -- we had an awesome gameplan, but just not the personnel)

2019 - ? (I'll be watching on TV)

Yeah, don't understand the "pressure is on OSU" BS.  And keep in mind, this was suppose to be our year to beat OSU and win the B1G championship with our experience and their youth.  We were picked by the majority of preseason forecasters.  But look who's playing in the conference championship again.

I'm looking at this from the complete opposite perspective. They have nothing to play for besides playoff position. They've won the division. They would still get in the playoffs even if they lose to us. I'm sure they won't take their foot off the gas, but I'm hoping the team saw their idiot fans storm the field for beating an overrated Penn St team and think they accomplished all they need to this regular season

That's right.  Refreshing to hear someone here say this instead of having the pressure on us.

The Big House better be rocking.   To the older crowd, let them stand the entire game...

How many losses to them is it gonna take for you not to sike yourself out like this anymore? They have zero pressure, the east is clinched. If they lose to us they still go on to win the B1G and make the playoff. They can just chalk up a loss to us having to get one eventually, and them not trying as hard because they didn't need it. They will be the ones playing loose and free, our guys have the pressure of never having beaten OSU before.
