Post your M-OSU score predictions here (w/ justifications)

42 - 6, OSU I really, really wanted to post a close or upset score here...but I couldn't. I think we have basically everything going against us at this point: - Threet out or playing hurt - Sheridan coming off a bad game, Feagin an untested commodity - Minor and Shaw not at 100%, no McGuffie - on the road and the most hostile environment that many of our players will have faced thus far - we have a young team (and, well, coach) that understand the gravity of the game, but haven't lived it - most mobile quarterback to date and our track record against mobile QBs is not good - Sheridan - Wells vs. arm-tackling is not a matchup that favors us - Tressel seems to be slightly less predictable than in the past with Pryor - OSU has something concrete to play for, while we are playing for pride alone - Sheridan - They have legit deep threats and we have veeeeery questionable safeties - I don't like our LBs' chances at dealing with Pryor and Wells simultaneously - we can't throw the ball down the field, and if we do, Jenkins - they have a good set of LBs and will be focused entirely on stopping the run - Sheridan - No one on the Michigan team has tasted victory vs. OSU, thus, not much confidence - there is always the concern that RR has written this season off and wants to look ahead, though I don't think this is a big concern since it is THE GAME - Sheridan Potential positives? (I really had to dig) - they aren't the best at attacking the spread, though we haven't really been running it effectively - perhaps the chip that ought to be accruing to our team's shoulders will cause multiple RAGEs to form all over the team - playing with a nothing-to-lose mentality - we still have a killer DLine that ought to be able to blow some shit up in the backfield. Maybe we can combine this with some effective blitzing and cause the frosh QB to make some shitty decisions - We have been getting some picks lately and Pryor isn't a great passer - Mouton and Ezeh have shown promise and perhaps will show some brilliance - OSU may be looking past us - we've seen that the offense can work in fits and starts. If it all comes together... So, post your thoughts here. The winner will win...pride?

35-27 Ohio State. I am more on the positive side. But, Mr. Promote RichRod, I disagree with one of your cons "No one on the Michigan team has tasted victory vs. OSU, thus, not much confidence" I feel like if anything we would be hungry for a win rather than having a lack of confidence. Just my thoughts. Thanks

24-21 MEEECHIGAN!! - I think the young guys being inexperienced plays to our advantage because they won't be taking it as serious as the last group of seniors who had lost the previous 3 years to them - MINOR RAGE!!!! - Richrod is good for quick starts which can take beanie out of the game - something we definitely needed to happen last year

17-14 Michigan. Wells has a slight hamstring so he will not be at full strength. However, he still will be the best back we have faced all year. The game will be ugly. We will play our best game.

Then again, looking at his stats for the games, he probably is. He's been hurt a good chunk of the year, hasn't he? But the only team to hold him in check was Penn State. On the positive side, he doesn't seem to be much of a receiver. Not that he's needed to be...

OSU 28-3 or 28-10 if we get a special teams or defensive touchdown. I don't think you guys realize how amazingly bad Sheridan is. He can't stay in the pocket because he can't make reads, so they have to roll him out all the time just to let him throw on the run. He's really, really bad, and that Minnesota game is the exception in which Gopher DBs dropped sure INTs.

We get zero, zip, nada. I hate to say it, but it will be true. They will load 8 guys in the box consistently, crush the run, and kill Sheridan (or he can save himself by throwing INTs). We score only if a) defense/ST gets us the ball REALLY deep - then only a FG; or b) if Threet can go we may get a TD ** I say more for them, because regardless of their 1st/2nd team, our D will be comatose from exhaustion by mid 3rd qtr; I am optimistic that our D will absolutely kick ass until then because they'll know it's all on them

tOSU 31, Michigan 13 with Michigan getting a late touchdown against Ohio State's second team. All bets are off however if it snows and become a punt fiesta.

21-10 Michigan. As for justifications..... Trent Interception return for TD (Thank you, Pryor), Beanie 17 Carries for 46 Yards, and Sheridan becomes a Michigan legend with a scrambling off balance throw to ice it with 2:12 left in the forth caught by MC Greg Math. Throw in a Odoms punt return TD or a Feagin 32 yard TD run for good measure (I envision a freshman becoming Fresh, Mayne). I can only prognosticate. The reality hurts too much.

Michigan wins 17-14, the defense steps up and contains Pryor and Wells, as well as forcing Pryor into two picks and one returned for a TD. We run the ball enough to control the clock and Minor pushes one across the line. OSU- Wells will break on long run for a TD other than that we shut him down for gains of 2-3 yards. Pryor will scramble for one TD other than that we dominate this game.

If you are talking about a first quarter where Michigan is spotted a 17pt lead, then maybe, but otherwise it ain't happening. Look, I love the Maize 'n' Blue, but this year ain't out year.

42-0 Michigan Reasons: - I bleed maize and blue - Jim Tressel drinks Wine Coolers - BARWIS BARWIS BARWIS BARWIS - Brandon Minor is going to break every single tackle and gain 400 yards. - Mcguffie will hurdle 4 defenders in a single leap and land inside the endzone. - Justin Boren, Michigan's secret weapon, will "accidentally" trip Pryor and Wells several times. - Terrelle Pryor will get hit so hard by Brandon Graham, that his memory will revert back several months and he will all-time QB for the rest of the game, having not made up his mind over whether he wanted to play for OSU or Michigan. In doing so, he will shatter the single game passing, rushing, and interceptions by cumulatively adding his stats from both sides. - Honestly, I just want to beat OSU while I'm in undergrad. ONCE. JUST ONCE. ONCE. (I mean twice would be great, but yeah I used all my optimism for my previous predictions)

2-0. Michigan. They win on a blocked punt for a safety. For real: 30-10 OSU. Chris Wells rushes for 175. Brown leaves early with an injury. Feagin has 2 ISQD for a total of one yard. Sheridan goes 12-30 passing, YPA around 3. He has 2 INTs. Threet enters the game in desperation only to aggravate his injury. The refs blow at least 3 holding calls per team. There will be one play that should be reviewed but isn't/can't. We will record one sack as Pryor completes 10 of 15 passes, mainly flats, curls, and slants. Each team scores a TD from a large special teams play (not necessarily on the return, but because of a big return or a block kick of some sort).

1) Weather no help - 40 & partly cloudy is forecast. 2) Tressel understands the rivalry, RichRod doesn't get it yet, "we have lots of rivals". 3) OSU secondary shuts our passing down early, stuffs the run all afternoon. We don't know how to adjust. 4) We can't beat Toledo @ The Big House, so how we gonna beat OSU @ The Shoe? 5) We have one intangible - Pryor & Justina Boren - if our guys wanna show these two what they are missing not being Blue, maybe just maybe the Gods finally smile on us this season. GO BLUE !!!!

Formerly anonymous you took my final score. I think we should play Tressel ball when they "won" the NC (I still think the flag came out too late) and run the ball and punt to put them in bad field position. We will do this throughout the game and win 11-4 because thinking that this game will be a safety fest excites me in ways that it shouldn't.

I hope to be pleasantly surprised Saturday, but I don't think it's too likely. If they play a reasonably mistake-free game and Sheridan can throw a little better than he did against Northwestern, well, stranger things have happened.

Let us keep in mind that Stanford, a 41 point underdog to USC, came into their house, a place they hadn't lost in for years, and beat them. Let us also remember App St. not backing down last year and beating us in our own home. You just don't know. Hope for the best and if not cry or whatever it is you want and just forget it and move on with your lives. Maybe use this as a good excuse to binge on every thing that is in your site.

I understand your point but even that USC game Stanford started their backup or third string qb, so it is not like they had an experienced qb at the helm either. I am just reiterating the fact that anything can happen and providing some sense of hope.

OSU 27-7 We can't stop Wells, can't contain a running QB; We put together one good drive early in the game, then OSU adjusts and that's pretty much it. Sweater Vest puts the offense into neutral mid third quarter.

Michigan goes up 24-12 before halftime, and Ohio State doesn't score again. Terrell Pryor throws four interceptions before being pulled for Todd Boeckmann, who throws two interceptions and also loses a fumble. Stevie Brown gets three interceptions, Brandon Minor and Carlos Brown each get over 100 yards on the ground and a touchdown a piece.

24-10 OSU... Just can't see it happening as much as I would like it... We are playing the same team that held Penn State to 13 points. We are either throwing a separated shoulder dead armed Threet (remember how effective Henne was with that shoulder last year?) or Sheridan... The stars just aren't aligned this year... I hope I am proven wrong. However, if I may shift gears for a moment gentlemen, coach Rod vs. The Hurricane, who would win?

Which annoys at least some of us who went to other schools in Ohio. Yep, including me (Miami '88). It's not like there aren't a fairly large number of other public universities in the state, at lest two of which have been around longer (Miami University and Ohio University). Ironically, the Wikipedia article on the history of Miami seems to indicate that the official name of Miami has been The Miami University. I'm grateful that the administration doesn't use it anywhere that I've seen.

I thought it was supposed to be tUOS referring to Pryor's confusion about the name of the school he was going to attending by calling it theuniversity of ohio state. Also, why don't we show a little faith in the team 20-17 Michigan. I know it may be easier to prepare for the worst and hope for the best but this is our team. Go Blue.

I'm thinking, in honesty, around 17-3 or 20-3 OSU. It's going to look like last year - OSU gets a lead that, given our offensive aptitude, is unconquerable, then Tressel takes the air out of the ball, and eliminates the chances for turning the ball over by attempting 2 passes in the entire 2nd half.

I'm guessing 40-24 OSU. I just don't see us being able to containg Pryor on the read-option play. He destoyed MSU with it and that, in turn, opened up the passing game down field for them. Expect to see a ton of Beanie Wells, too. Thank God, we won't have to see him anymore after this year, except when he's wearing a Detroit Lions jersey.

I'd love to see a win, or even better, a win that makes a Michigan legend (another Biakabatuka). How about a Hail Mary into the end zone that someone like Stonum or Koger comes down with for a winning TD as the 'Shoe goes dead silent? A big exclamation point to end this season would be nice. Realistically, I think we lose by 17. The linebackers seem like they finally are getting it the last couple of weeks, which should help a lot against a mobile QB, but OSU still finds too many open receivers, keeps Pryor moving to avoid our defensive line, and our offense scores 10 points. 27-10 OSU. Now I hope they go out there and prove me dead wrong.

and in particular I would love to see something out of Stonum. Maybe it's just me, but I expected a lot out of the guy this year and just haven't gotten it. He seems to have made some keys drops and hasn't made any key plays that I can recall at the moment. Odoms, on the other hand, has greatly exceeded my expectations if you overlook the special teams fumbles.

Michigan and K.C. have a huge day stopping the bucks but can't cash in for a TD. But Lopata gets Four on the day. Pryor's rainbow passes get broken up by UM using the 4-2-5 defense. The D-Line stops Beannie on most runs but one. If Wisconsin showed us anything, UM can stop a big back with a four man front.

My prediction is 38-17. I think that, like many other games this year, we will hang around a lot longer than the statistics indicate. I wouldn't be surprised if we have a lead at some point in the second half, like so many of our losses. The Buckeyes will then wake up and put us away like Penn State did. Michigan has lots of intangibles in their favor. Chief among them is the fact that it has been so long since the Buckeyes lost to Michigan that it will be impossible for them to take us seriously. No player for Ohio State has ever been around for a Michigan win and we have been the country's laughing stock this year. I think those factors will help keep it close for at least a half.
