Possible 2013 commitment "Might" happen tomorrow (Football)
https://twitter.com/#!/TremendousUM
According to tremendous, we may be getting a 2013 commit tomorrow. They do stress the word "Might" but it's exciting none the less. Keep up the good work, Tremendous!
To throw a bit of speculation out there, I think it could be Laquon Treadwell, who seemed on the verge of committing a couple months back.

Jourdan Lewis?
February 1st, 2012 at 9:43 PM ^
Whenever I hear his name mentioned, they say he would commit to Michigan when offered. The pipeline thus continuing.

that would be my guess as well. treadwell sounds like he is pretty open at this point but id love it to be him as well

seems to me its either jourdan lewis (cass tech DB) or darius latham (DT/OT from indiana)
February 1st, 2012 at 9:41 PM ^
Laquon would be a very nice addition , Logan Tulley-Tillman would be nice as well. Dude is a beast!!
I am getting excited for the 2013 class to start taking form especially with Morris recruiting for like a year already.
February 1st, 2012 at 11:37 PM ^
We're talking about a guy who doesn't.
February 2nd, 2012 at 2:22 AM ^
Don't forget, he's got a whole another year to recruit
February 1st, 2012 at 9:42 PM ^
Be patient. I was going to say who it was when I am done talking to them.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:44 PM ^
Asking us, the MGoBlog community to be "patient', is an exercise in futility. Haha
February 1st, 2012 at 9:48 PM ^
Patience? On the internet? If I didn't know otherwise, I would have guessed you were new here...

LTT said he plans on acconcing at his all star game ever since bama offered so dont get ur hopes up on that 1
February 1st, 2012 at 9:52 PM ^
Eh, he said that right after his Bama visit. It's possible that he cooled down, realized we were well ahead, and decided to get it over with. On the other hand, he did say he wanted to give every school a shot, and that attitude is unlikely to change on a whim, so who knows. My money is on Treadwell, he's been on the verge of commiting for a while now.

I think I need recruiting rehab. Then Aquaman brings this 2013 news and I'm back on the crack pipe
February 1st, 2012 at 9:49 PM ^
Kendall Fuller???
February 1st, 2012 at 9:54 PM ^
Does that mean we get Diggs????
February 1st, 2012 at 9:54 PM ^
VT is the leader for Fuller, he's had a couple older brothers play there, so that would be quite the pleasant surprise.

To Bolivia with the man who suggests such!

None of the sites report an offer, but I assume Mich has?
Edit: Nevermind, seen that he has via Tremdous.

I think you're right. He's apparently deciding between us, Notre Dame, and WVU tomorrow.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:57 PM ^
wow.... rivals doesn't even list an offer from us.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:00 PM ^
I feel like that can't help our chances much.
EDIT: Tremendous is saying that he is claiming an offer from the coaching staff, even though it is not listed on the premium sites.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:03 PM ^
It's not unheard of this early on for the sites to be way inaccurate.
That said, no offence to tremendous or Thompson but with written offers still months from being sent out, it wouldn't be out of the question for Thompson to not have a committable offer (despite what he believes; it wouldn't be the first time something like this has happened in recruiting...).
Not saying it's the case one way or another, but we'll find out tomorrow one way or another. FWIW, this has already hit the Scout boards so I'm sure the mods there will investigate.

I'm hoping this is sarcastic, since today is signing day for the 2012 class, and the sites haven't exactly gotten around to ranking all the prospects from the 2013 class yet.

4*..top ten player in Ohio. Would be nice to get him locked up for next year. Looks like he will be solid down the road.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:00 PM ^
We are all nutjobs. Been raking over this stuff since 7am, and we're still at it. Only now we're looking at 2013.
God I love this program.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:02 PM ^
It never end, does it?
That being said, I don't think I'd want it differently.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:00 PM ^
Jayme said that he has been offered by all three schools he is deciding between. Just to clarify that situation.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:04 PM ^
It's Stefon Diggs.

I'm a little concernd about his speed. I don't expect everyone to be Denard fast, but 4.8 40 (UA Combine) seems extremely slow for a corner.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:08 PM ^
isnt he a saftey though?
February 1st, 2012 at 10:09 PM ^
Per Trememdous' tweet, he was offered as a CB.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:08 PM ^

February 1st, 2012 at 10:20 PM ^
He's also probably 16. So that leaves a good year to two years for development. He'll be fine I'm sure.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:21 PM ^
FWIW Rivals has him at 4.53 for his 40 time, not mind blowing by any stretch but for his size it's not half bad.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:41 PM ^
After watching his video, 4.5 seems more likely. He has decent speed.
On another note, his high school uniform is a little odd. Looks like Ohio's uniform with a ND throwback helmet.

Now, there are a lot of reasons for that 4.8 to not be representative of his true speed, but lets remember that combine-timed 40s, especially the big ones, are usually laser timed making them much slower than most of the hand time 40s being reported.
Donovan Warran ran 4.7 at the NFL combine, and he was a good corner here. It's possible that, even if Thompson is a legit 4.8 right now, he's in the 4.6-4.7 range by the time he's seeing the field. Sure, we all want corners who can fly, but there is a lot than can make up for pure speed for a cornerback.
Also, try and refrain from comparing 40 times too much. People love to talk about a kid who is a 4.4 or whatever, but there's a reason our Hello: posts have a FAKE 40 section - most of them are. There are only a handful of guys who actually run a 4.4 at the NFL combine, and those are 21-23 year old players with years of college S&C training who are the tops at their positions in the country. So when a HS kid reports a 4.4 or below, take it with a huge grain of salt.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:59 PM ^
Thanks, had seen a couple of reports with ESPN/247 saying 4.69 and the scout at 4.53. Just not used to seeing that big of a spread of 40s. After looking at the kid's film he certainly looks fast (chasing down a WR from behind after having a big big cushion).
February 2nd, 2012 at 10:40 AM ^
Donovan Warran ran 4.7 at the NFL combine, and he was a good corner here.Warren also aggravated an ankle sprain prior to the combine.
