Thorne originally committed to WMU then switched to MSU. But yeah, he didn't actually start at WMU - though he probably would have.
Still, an inaccurate note by the OP.
EDIT: And it's egregiously inaccurate. WMU isn't even Power 5.

I live in SEC country and it’s great to have it on when Michigan or another great game isn’t on.
I watch Auburn every week. Looking forward to see if Thorne can lead the team.
Hugh Freeze wanted Mello English to recommit when he took over. Mello stuck with us - he’s got the better QB and team.

I mean we shouldn’t be super surprised here. He was kind a top 5 or so B1G QB who was a dead on starter. You don’t transfer out of that unless you are pretty sure you have an almost guaranteed starting spot where you are going.

Throws an excellent deep ball and fairly mobile, so a good talent base. Then add Hugh Freeze as a quite good QB developer and I bet he performs well. Not a game changer and likely struggle against top defenses, but good enough to get Auburn into competitive mode in the SEC.

Speaking of former big ten qbs. I was at the Tennessee Smokies game tonight and it was Joe Milton bobble head night. These crazy hillbillies were in line at 3 for a 5:30 gate. Needless to say. I did not get a bobble head.

I haven't taken the time to verify this because I really don't care all that much, but I talked to a Maryland fan (yeah there's a couple of them out there) and he told me that Auburn offered some cash to Taulia to come down there. He supposedly turned them down, so they went and snagged Thorne, who is by no means a bad option.
I've heard *tate fans tell me that he transferred because Kim is just incredible and he wasn't going to start, but if the above is true, what I've been told by them is certainly NOT true.
Hugh Freeze might be a stain, but the dude certainly has some coaching ability and I wouldn't be surprised if Thorne performs well. Auburn has always been able to acquire talent and aren't afraid to throw around money to get it. Thorne should be commended for transferring up and outta there, and I'd love to see him whip some Crimson Tide ass.
