OT: Shitty cowbell guy
December 9th, 2016 at 12:13 PM ^
I'm sorry my cowbelling does not meet your standards. :(
December 9th, 2016 at 12:14 PM ^
Wow. I'm so sorry, man!
December 9th, 2016 at 1:27 PM ^
I know EXACTLY who the OP is referring to, he sits in approximately row 72, just a few seats away from section 37's entry tunnel. I'm a section over in 36 and a half-dozen rows higher, shitty cowbell guy is truly shitty. And lethargically slow. Every time he starts up, a much better cowbell guy in 35 starts up and usually finishes before Mr.Shitty.
December 9th, 2016 at 2:04 PM ^
I'm in section 35 and we are just better at finding and developing cowbell talent.
December 9th, 2016 at 2:22 PM ^
He was a 4* cowbeller coming out of HS. Hoke and staff did a terrible job of developing him. I think Harbaugh can do his best to salvage something.
Great passion but poor technique and pad level.
December 9th, 2016 at 4:59 PM ^
The guy further down in 37 (row 30-35) seems to be ok. Maybe that's why the other guy is stuck up in 72?

does the cowbell for section 37 and he was in the marching band at U of M and routinely critiques the others.
December 9th, 2016 at 2:18 PM ^
Yes, but this is much more fun than reading a snowflake "This is what *I* think about XYZ Michigan Football issue" post, isn't it? :)
OP says: "How did he get nominated ...?" It seems that just about every section has at least one self-appointed jackalope with a cheerleading agenda.

Lol is that actually you

think my cowbell was hurting anyone.
Sorry about that.
Oh wait. Nevermind. What you meant was you need MOAR cowbell!
Here ya go:
December 9th, 2016 at 3:20 PM ^
those who can't cowbell, make blog posts.
December 9th, 2016 at 12:14 PM ^
I'm in favor.
December 9th, 2016 at 12:34 PM ^
I'm opposed

figures.
December 9th, 2016 at 12:51 PM ^
I shall rigorously analyze the arguments above and arrive at a conclusion.
December 9th, 2016 at 1:33 PM ^
So we have one for, one against, and one abstantion. The motion fails.
December 9th, 2016 at 1:48 PM ^
I do that shit at work.
I'm straight up Switzerland. Always neutral.
December 9th, 2016 at 12:16 PM ^
there's a dude in that corner that doesn't play the ending sequence right (the 4th time through) -- he plays it the same as the other three. He competes with a girl that does it right, so it's like a cowbell showdown most games.
December 9th, 2016 at 1:01 PM ^
The woman in section 15/16 is fantastic at cowbell. Wears the maize&blue Canada flag as a cape.

Shitty cowbell guy is probably just a weekend cowbeller.
I'm betting he doesn't bother with upkeep in any way, he probably hasn't tuned the thing since he got it new, plus since cows are tone-deaf, he can't hit the right notes anyway, even if it WAS in tune, and he has no good rhythm, which is why he's a beat off all the time (or he's reading that epic tweet from Kate Upton....that could cause it to happen too).

I remember her getting thrown out of the game at IU last year. Her commitment to cowbell is strong, but apparently so was IU security's commitment to having her not play cowbell.

They threatened to throw me out but then the usher in my section said she didn't have a problem with it so I just kept playing it..... lol :)
December 9th, 2016 at 1:52 PM ^
I was at that IU game and you may have played the cowbell one, two, ten times too many. I like the cowbell and all, but when it's played 40+ times a game it's just too much.
December 9th, 2016 at 2:24 PM ^
I agree - not a fan of too many... but that cowbelling had some major alcohol behind it and was a year ago. I've grown and learned. :)
December 9th, 2016 at 2:35 PM ^
all you want! Ignore get off my lawn guy! Too much "Go Blue"??? NEVER!!!
December 10th, 2016 at 10:54 AM ^
It's making the Miami trip with me - can't make any "i'll be sober"promises. Go blue!!
December 9th, 2016 at 2:40 PM ^
I was at the IU game and I thought it was awesome! Never. Enough. Cowbell.
December 9th, 2016 at 4:21 PM ^
down in the lower section near the goal line, right by where the game ended in OT with the defensive stop.
Truly amazing, that a gal so drunk could still play the cowbell so well!
December 9th, 2016 at 11:02 PM ^
but I'm ready to declare this thread FULL OF WIN!
December 9th, 2016 at 1:38 PM ^
Glad I am not the 'shitty cowbell girl'!!
December 9th, 2016 at 1:59 PM ^
is in Section 20 doing the cowbell. Was he the first to do it?
December 9th, 2016 at 12:18 PM ^
I am in section 39 so I'm pretty sure I know who you are talking about. I have to say it sounds fine in my section. I guess if you don't like it don't participate or bring your own. Honestly I wish we had more fans who did things like cowbell guy.

I'm with you -- cowbell, regardless of quality, good; more cowbell better.
In the past, our cowbell people had plenty of opportunity to get better at playing the cowbell' now they have to fight with The rock Muzak playing to get heard at all. No wonder they aren't very good -- lack of game time experience. I'm in Section 42 and can see the guy in 37 playing the cowbell but can rarely hear him. We in section 42 had a family provide excellent cowbell players, but they grew up and moved on; we still miss them, and no one has stepped up into the void left by them due to the canned Muzak being played.
To reiterate, cowbell good --> more cowbell better. One cannot have too much cowbell.
December 9th, 2016 at 12:18 PM ^
lol wut?
December 9th, 2016 at 12:19 PM ^
What's next? Complaints about flat Pepsi from the concession stand next to Section 10?
Here's a response from shitty cowbell guy.
December 9th, 2016 at 12:46 PM ^
I wish there was flat Pepsi. All I ever see is Coke products in the stadium.
December 9th, 2016 at 12:51 PM ^
I haven't purchased a soft drink inside the stadium in probably 15 years, so I was not as aware of the brand as I should have been. I suppose you could say I was aware, but not fully aware.
December 9th, 2016 at 12:57 PM ^
You smuggle bottles of your preferred beverages inside various body cavities like I do. We'll outwit them.
December 9th, 2016 at 1:33 PM ^
Under your hat! They check that.
December 9th, 2016 at 1:38 PM ^
I smuggle a flask of Canadian Whisky in my back.....pocket. But one of them there $5 pops and enjoy the game that much more.
December 9th, 2016 at 1:36 PM ^
Remind me next season and a round of cokes is on me. For you, not everybody on this board. Sorry!
December 9th, 2016 at 3:16 PM ^
When they got rid of the small collectible cup. Those were the bomb.
December 9th, 2016 at 12:55 PM ^
Dude, either you have no ear for music or you've never heard a shitty cowbell

Flat Pepsi is better than the cold hot chocolate they sell.
December 9th, 2016 at 1:49 PM ^
I am pretty sure that concession stand is right next to "$9 Are We Sure This Is Pizza Now?" guy. I think we need to talk about him for a moment and his inflated view of the sodium needs of the general public as that is some salty pizza.
December 9th, 2016 at 12:19 PM ^
Where is Christopher Walken when you need him.
