OT Season is Nigh - CONFESS!!!
I'm engaging in blatant MGoLarceny as someone better than me used to post a "CONFESS!" posting prior to OT season ending. Still, I have not seen it, so here goes:
OT Season is coming to an end. In order to purify yourself (whether in or out of the Waters of Lake Minnetonka), confess your darkest (but not THAT dark) sports sins. The faked soccer injury to draw a red card, the placed Vegas bet AGAINST Michigan for a parlay, the secret MSU t-shirt you keep in your closet because your cousin/wife/kid/parent went there. Let it all out...it's good for the soul.
I'll start: I may or may not own a Buckeyes hat that I wear at the office when Michigan loses and I lose the inter-office bet with a Buckeye.
I have, however, not worn that hat in (checks watch) 1,000 days.

I took the under this year on 9.5 to hedge my bet, If the season goes terribly i still want to win money. And i also took msu and the over for the same reason.

I lost a lot of money on The Game last year. Bet OSU moneyline, doubled down at halftime.
Best money I've ever spent!
August 26th, 2022 at 8:35 PM ^
Yup, I frequently hedge bet against Michigan. I never regret paying for a win and while the money for a loss doesn't make up for it, at least there's some money in my pocket (which I often let my wife spend on something to make up for putting up with me being in a sour mood).
Did not bet on OSU last year just because I thought the odds were really bad. Felt much better than the market about Michigan's chances.
August 26th, 2022 at 11:28 AM ^
Jesus man....I will NEVER bet on my favorite teams.
August 26th, 2022 at 11:05 PM ^
I love betting Michigan games. But I rarely if ever bet against Michigan. If my gut tells me Michigan won't cover a spread then I just don't bet it. There are so many other lines out there to plop money on during any given football Saturday.

Not quite as threatening as the Spanish Inquisition, but very effective! LOL

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition

I fervently cheer for a team that wears green and white.
(But it is the Saskatchewan Roughriders, not Michigan Stae)
August 27th, 2022 at 12:13 AM ^
Fellow Roughriders fan checking in here. Rider Nation!
August 26th, 2022 at 11:04 AM ^
I don't own the shirt any more, but I lost bets in the past and had to wear a Staee shirt to work and post it on FB for all the world to see...
August 26th, 2022 at 11:09 AM ^
Homey don't play that
August 26th, 2022 at 5:44 PM ^
As a Junior in High School, I went to MSU for wrestling camp. I bought a Sparty football jersey with my last name on the back. Two different high school girlfriends wore it, but I got it back both times. Purchased in 1977 and I still have that shirt in my closet. Graduated from Michigan in '82.
Nope, it doesn't fit anymore!

I am married to an OSU fan.
3 of my six kids are OSU fans.
3 of my kids are UM fans.
I confess: I love the other 3 just a little bit more.
August 26th, 2022 at 11:21 AM ^
That’s messed up bro
August 26th, 2022 at 11:34 AM ^
I confess that I know it is. LOL
August 26th, 2022 at 11:42 AM ^
having kids that are ohio fans?
August 26th, 2022 at 12:00 PM ^
You did write those other 3 out of the will, right?
August 26th, 2022 at 1:56 PM ^
No judgment here.
August 26th, 2022 at 12:46 PM ^
Is the mailman an osu fan by any chance?
ps. Just kidding, I’m sure they’re all yours.
August 26th, 2022 at 1:17 PM ^
I too was married to a Buckeye. I took some solace in the fact that she got her PhD from Michigan, but it didn't change the fact of the matter. It is much better with that situation in the rear view mirror!

Casey Anthony makes 2 out of 3 for me in the Marry/F_ _ k/Kill game.
Picture removed - comments appreciated! Not worry about kids" well played.

August 26th, 2022 at 11:27 AM ^
He better have protection...I recommend nunchucks.
August 26th, 2022 at 11:36 AM ^
That is good advice, but in the worst case scenario it seems like that little problem would work itself out in payroll.
August 26th, 2022 at 11:40 AM ^
I mean you don't have to worry about kids right....
:/

Dark and I feel ashamed laughing at it, but...
August 26th, 2022 at 12:59 PM ^
Yeah, Marine Corps will do that to you. I love the dark humor.
in this case it was just too easy. They just left it hanging there waiting. I had to say it.
August 26th, 2022 at 5:47 PM ^
Air Force Vet, that kind of joke is well remembered. Appreciate you.
August 26th, 2022 at 11:44 AM ^
UGH!!
That is the one picture that should be permanently retired from our board.
August 26th, 2022 at 12:56 PM ^
Lol, you warned me about that once and haven't posted it since.
August 26th, 2022 at 1:17 PM ^
Thanks, EGJ.
As I and others on MGoBoard have stated in the past, she's proven herself to be a vile, disgusting excuse of a human being. So much so that I think even most buckeye fans are rightfully embarrassed of that photo.

My wife went to the University of Wiscinsin, her in-laws buy me Wisconsin shit often. I wear the basketball shorts way more than I should. FORGIVE ME!!

Acceptable if you write "Brad Davison touched me here" on the front.

I went to (graduate) school at the University of Wisconsin. Despite spending years in Madison, I escaped with a single piece of Wisconsin apparel.
However, I do have a Wisconsin-related confession. Between Madison and Ann Arbor, Madison is the superior college town. Even setting aside the college qualifier, I think Madison is just a better place than Ann Arbor.
August 26th, 2022 at 1:21 PM ^
it is hard to not have a great time in Madison
August 26th, 2022 at 1:33 PM ^
Unless you have to park. Worst parking city I've ever been to.
August 26th, 2022 at 2:55 PM ^
The heart of Madison adds an extra degree of difficulty, since it's an isthmus, riddled with one-way streets, and broken in half by the Capitol Square. But on the whole, I don't think parking in Madison is much worse than any other midsized Midwestern city. If you know the city, it is not too difficult to find a parking space, especially if you can tolerate walking a few blocks. And just like any other city, Madison can feel like an unsolvable maze when you're a newcomer dealing with the combined stresses of navigating unfamiliar streets and finding a parking spot.

Ask them politely for a gift receipt.. just so you can ensure it’s sized correctly and - if appropriate / necessary - exchange their thoughtful gifts in the future.

I love the color green, much more than blue, but refuse to wear it or buy a green car. I have one exception which is my tractor.
August 26th, 2022 at 11:28 AM ^
John Deere? I love that John Deere green PLUS yellow.
Of course, green with white would be crude and wrong.
August 26th, 2022 at 11:52 AM ^
Yeah, it's different enough to accept psychologically. The yellow helps.
August 26th, 2022 at 11:38 AM ^
Bought a Husqavarna for that reason.
