I thought that he just got so drunk he puked on someone. I did not expect the story to mention that he positioned himself behind someone, stuck his fingers down his throat, and projectile vomited over the family. You stay classy.

This would make a decent poll question: "Which Philly fan behavior is more disgusting: throwing snowballs at Santa Claus or vomiting on a little girl?"

throwing snow balls at a drunk santa 40 years ago or one fan vomiting on a girl? I will say the second one the first is not disgusting. For a blog representing an excellent academic university people are really pretty ignorant

Easy with ripping the Philly fans. This was one 21 year old drunk douche bag who should have gotten the shit beat out of him. You don't see fights or stuff like this happen very often at Citizens Bank Park (a few years back at the Vet may have been a different story but that has changed). It's actually an amazing park to watch a game. If you're ever in town I highly suggest you check it out. The thug reputation that the Philly fans get in the national media is ridiculous. We are just very passionate about are sports teams. Sometimes we can be a bit obnoxious but the majority of us Philly fans are just diehard good respectable fans just like everyone on here is with Michigan. GO BLUE!

Pardon my cynicism, but did the fans who used to go to the Vet stop going to Citizens Bank Park? Were they given mandatory lessons in civility as part of their seat licenses? Hate to tell you, but I am a skeptic. The way Donovan McNabb was treated by fan in Phlly as recently as last year makes me wonder some more. Anyone who would do what that D-bag did to that kid and father deserves to spend a while behind bars.

You're right I'm sure it is still the same fans going to the games at CBP but for some reason the atmosphere definitely has changed. It has become much more of a family friendly ball park...probably because The Vet was such a dump. Since the city now has a consistent winning baseball team and a beautiful ballpark it has attracted the non-a$$hole fans and families can now bring their kids without having to worry about this kind of ridiculous behavior...for the most part. No matter where you go you'll always have a few idiots. I definitely agree that dude should be in prison.

People really buy into the negative media given to Philly fans. This was an isolated incident and if you didn't notice the guy got punched in the face for what he did. There have been moments where fans have acted out in bad ways but this was not an incident that was fueled by sports rather than one that was fueled by a guy trying to get revenge on the man responsible for getting his buddies thrown out. What Clemmenns did is disgusting. But really people why use this to hate on Philly as a whole?
