OT: The "It's Way Too Early on Friday, But This Day Already Blows" What Are You Drinking Tonight Thread
Yes, I know it's the morning, but it's Friday, and my day already sucks! So what is everyone drinking tonight? I'm thinking a post-work sixer of Fat Tire will get me started for the Wings' and Spring Game tomorrow! Also, any big, cool tailgate ideas for tomorrow?

Where threads that contain stories of culturing bacteria in a laboratory and the works FUUUUUUUKKKKKKKed UP can live in harmony. It's a beautiful thing

Schlafly Pale Ale... a local micro brewery here in St. Louis.
Quite tasty.

There are almost 90 in Michigan now, and I'm on a quest to visit all of them. I'm at 55 as of today, and Wolverine on Saturday will make 56. The ones in the UP are going to involve vacation time this summer.
I'll be drinking Vat 33 IPA from CJ's Brewery in Commerce Twp.

That's a great goal!

I am very jealous of you. One of my life long goals is start up a microbrewery. I love everything about homebrewing. Some of my beers have been decent, especially my vanilla porter. It would be awesome to expand one day to full brewery.
Good luck in your quest.
Don't ask me to look at pictures of your ugly kids, don't ask me to loan you a couple bucks, don't ask me to house sit for your stupid cats or dogs, and PLEASE don't ask me to drink the slime that's been festering under your basement stairs for the last six weeks.
Cosigned.
It was a higher content brew. So it is darn near difficult for an infection to set in. I am pretty anal about sterilizing my brewing gear.

That sir is a noble quest.

Schneider Aventinus
Magic Hat Howl Winter Seasonal
Bell's Christmas Ale
Bell's Pale Ale
Weihenstephaner Original
Dogfish Head Immort Ale
Yuengling
Smithwicks

I'm thinking SoCo straight from the bottle.

Crown Royal as the night progresses... Having some guys over for some pre-game poker before we head out. Should be a good night. GO MAIZE and BLUE tomorrow!
April 15th, 2011 at 11:01 AM ^
Oberon to start, then we'll see where the night takes me.
April 15th, 2011 at 11:05 AM ^
a little OE, Colt 45 or some Crazy Horse. It was all about bang for your buck back in the day. Now if I feel like going domestic maybe some Miller Lite. I also might go with some single malt scotch, such as Oban which is one of my favorites. I also might like to suck down a Hoegaarden.
April 15th, 2011 at 11:23 AM ^
I have to finish of a fifth of Jack Daniels that I started last weekend, so I will be having a few Jack-n-cokes. Could be a fun night or I may hate myself tomorrow....only time will tell.

Friday = The Captain
April 15th, 2011 at 11:35 AM ^
i'll be trying out my homebrew that i bottled last weekend. It's a Chai Brown Ale.
April 15th, 2011 at 11:59 AM ^
I broke out my first first batch during the game last Saturday and it turned out to be pretty damned good. The whole process was fun and educational. I'm hooked for life.
April 15th, 2011 at 12:15 PM ^
yeah im hooked for life now too. started about 2 years ago and have made about 10 batches. started out just making clones of popular beers but my last two batches were experiments. im really interested to see how the chai spices taste with the brown ale.
be careful, it starts getting expensive the more you do it. you always will want to upgrade what you have. its a lot of fun though. i plan on joining a homebrew club at some point but its hard with two young kids at home.

I will be trying Sam Adams Imperial Stout tonight.
knocked me on my ass though, it was like, 11.4% but it was delicious, so I drank it like a normal beer, when all of a sudden i was 3 deep
April 15th, 2011 at 11:52 AM ^
Going with Magic Hat #9. Can't go wrong with that.
April 15th, 2011 at 11:52 AM ^
I'll be at the Yankee game tonight so I'll be drinking overpriced beer :(
April 15th, 2011 at 11:55 AM ^
Heading to Atlantic City for my bachelor party this afternoon, so I will be drinking everything.
April 15th, 2011 at 12:04 PM ^

Then I may rock a tubthumper:
A whiskey drink, a lager drink, a cider drink and then remind myself of the good and better times
you forgot the vodka drink!
April 15th, 2011 at 12:12 PM ^
Summer Shandy (I know I know but I like it) keeps my spirits up for warm water and sitting on a boat
April 15th, 2011 at 12:30 PM ^
Might clean out the fridge a little before heading out. I've got some Arrogant Bastard Ale, Victory Brewing Co. Golden Monkey, and Leffe Blonde to choose from.
wow +1 for the golden monkey
April 15th, 2011 at 12:30 PM ^
Its the friday before little 5 so i have been drinking since 8am. And Im not picky about what it is today as long as im not sober
April 15th, 2011 at 12:35 PM ^
Surly Abrasive Ale, then who knows. I do have some other great options: KBS, Bells Batch 9,000, Sam Adams Wee Heavy, Surly Furious, Surly Coffee Bender, GI BCBS.
It has about run it's course as their seasonal from New Belguim Brewery.
I'll give it a try. I'm a microbrew nut, so I'm always up for something new.
Our favorite New Belgium is the Abbey and I'm digging on the new Ranger IPA too.
I'll be having some pints at a pub in Galway, Ireland in an hour or two. I'm in the middle of a two week vacation in Ireland. Sorry if this makes your day even worse.
Driving 45 minutes to the philadelphia suburbs to pick up my first case of oberon in 2011. SO PUMPED
Like for them to be deliver by a small waist and a big booty. She dosen't have to look like Nia Long or Jada Smith...but it wouldn't hurt for them to be eye candy
I have some miscellaneous amber ales that I'll go through. Wife is out of town so I get to party alone!
Agave Wheat. Starting now.
I'm busting open the Knob Creek we get when we go over 2,000 MGoPoints!
Wait, what?
Some homebrew, some Avery brews, and enough hard liquor to forget I even did the taxes last night.
Almost always Founders.
