Coaches' timeouts are worse. Basketball teams should get one, full stop.

Of course the Board of Trustees wouldn't want to meet in South Bend:
"The plans were presented to the university's board of trustees during their meeting Wednesday in Rome."

This made me laugh.

Can somebody re-direct this lost soul to RCMB?
|28 weeks 3 days ago||Easy||
If that comment was sincere, I apologize. But it sounded sarcastic, and that makes you a giant douche who has never been a captain of anything. Grow up.

Who was the very last guy he shook hands with at the end of the MGoBlue clip? Looked like a lineman with a sweet beard. But he clearly asked Tom to shake his left hand because he has a broken hand. I'm not aware of any linemen with broken hands.

The pee troughs were genius. It was like pissing on a wall in an alley. Impossible to miss your target unless you pass out mid-stream.

Somebody with great photoshop skills should have a field day with those Bentley photos. The one from the 80s is begging for Lloyd Brady.
Sadly, I have no such skills.

First home game freshman year. I love the fact that this was my first game because all UM fans know what I'm talking about, and all of my ND friends want to punch me every time I bring it up.
I met Elvis Grbac and Yale Van Dyne in the bleachers at Wrigley a few summers ago and I had to thank Elvis for making my first game unforgettable.

Anyone else see that picture of Wheatley and think he could benefit from joining Pipkins on his diet?

I live close to Belmont/Sheffield, so we might head over there to check out Wedding Banned. Nothing better than drinking in the street.

Hoping the rain stays away all weekend here in Chicago.
Today - cut out of work early and decide which beer garden to drink at.
Tomorrow - maybe beach, definately street festival at night
Sunday - probably something indoors if it is going to be 95 degrees
Monday - spend the day of the girlfriend's dad's boat on Lake Michigan
Tuesday - curse the lottery for ignoring me again and making me go back to work.
Have a safe and happy Memorial Day everyone. Go Blue!

That was my favorite part, even though you could replace Purdue with Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, Northwestern...

I thought Bacon was great tonight and waited to get the book signed so I could briefly speak with him. I made it 28 pages in while waiting in line and am excited to read it. I'm sure it won't all be good news, but I'd rather read the truth than the fluff I'm used to reading in the MSM.
BTW, I confirmed that he absolutely reads mgoblog.

Cans is actually an offical (endorsed by the alumni association) UM bar this year. They are actually having a kickoff party tonight.

Do you know how often the map is updated? I just posted two new Chicago UM bars in the thread.
|2 years 28 weeks ago||New Official Bars in Chicago||
Last weekend, I went to a UM Football Kickoff party at Jack's, a new official UM bar in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. Decent food, very cool beer garden with TVs. Not sure what their gameday drink specials will be. Address? Address:
2856 N. Southport Ave.
Chicago, IL 60657
Also, Cans in Bucktown is also now an offical UM bar. Big place, lots of TVs.

I do recall the Lions beating the Packers, but it's a whole different situation when the backup QB has to come into a game because of an injury vs having a whole week to gameplan around the backup being the starter. I think that is why there was such a stark contrast between Flynn against the Lions and Flynn against NE.
I do think the Lions are the second best team in the NFC North this year if 1) Stafford stays healthy and 2) McNabb doesn't play out of his mind. As a former Michigan resident, I'd actually like to see the Lions return to decency (while still consistently losing to the Pack).
