37 weeks 5 days ago	Same here	First home game freshman year.  I love the fact that this was my first game because all UM fans know what I'm talking about, and all of my ND friends want to punch me every time I bring it up. I met Elvis Grbac and Yale Van Dyne in the bleachers at Wrigley a few summers ago and I had to thank Elvis for making my first game unforgettable.

51 weeks 5 days ago	Summer in Chicago	Hoping the rain stays away all weekend here in Chicago. Today - cut out of work early and decide which beer garden to drink at. Tomorrow - maybe beach, definately street festival at night Sunday - probably something indoors if it is going to be 95 degrees Monday - spend the day of the girlfriend's dad's boat on Lake Michigan Tuesday - curse the lottery for ignoring me again and making me go back to work. Have a safe and happy Memorial Day everyone.  Go Blue!

1 year 41 weeks ago	All Good Points	I do recall the Lions beating the Packers, but it's a whole different situation when the backup QB has to come into a game because of an injury vs having a whole week to gameplan around the backup being the starter.  I think that is why there was such a stark contrast between Flynn against the Lions and Flynn against NE. I do think the Lions are the second best team in the NFC North this year if 1) Stafford stays healthy and 2) McNabb doesn't play out of his mind.  As a former Michigan resident, I'd actually like to see the Lions return to decency (while still consistently losing to the Pack).
1 year 41 weeks ago	Not Sure I Agree	Obviously, you didn't see the Packers play at NE last year without Rodgers.  Matt Flynn had a drive at the end to win that game.  While the Packers' win total without Rodgers would suffer, I really don't think they would "fall apart."  They probably have the best WR, OL, LB, and DB position groups in the division.  Unless they have a repeat of the injury plague of 2010, the Packers could still win 9-10 games with Flynn starting all year.  The schedule just isn't that tough.

1 year 42 weeks ago	Good for Indiana	I have no problem with IU and have a lot of friends who went to school there, so I'm happy for them.  I'd like to see them get to Northwestern-level respectability, and he might help them get some more talent and turn the corner. Either way, this young man is going to pull some seriously hot tail in Bloomington.

1 year 49 weeks ago	Ohio Might Care	Not sure if this would be considered income to the IRS because, as was stated above, value was traded for value.  But if Ohio is anything like Illinois, there are likely Sales and Use Tax implications.  For example, if I sell my car tomorrow for $10,000, the state is going to want a piece of that.  And I'm guessing Ohio could use any tax revenue they can get at this point.
