Michigan vs. Purdue - Chicago and Suburban Game Watching Locations

Submitted by Amaizin' Blue on

For anyone in the northern suburbs of Chicago, please join us at a new location to watch this week’s Big Ten opener against Purdue.

· The Landmark Inn, 1352 Shermer Rd., Northbrook, IL (map)

As you all know, kickoff is at 3:00 p.m. Central Time on Saturday, September 23 (game will be shown on Fox).

We had a good turnout for our first game watching vs Florida over Labor Day weekend. I’m hoping we can keep building off that and draw larger and larger crowds for more big matchups as the season moves forward.

If you are more likely to be in the Windy City this weekend, you can also watch at one of our Sponsor Bars below. Our Sponsor Bars make a generous donation to our Scholarship fund to help Chicagoland Wolverines attend our great university. Each time you visit these avid Michigan supporters, you are in turn supporting our local Wolverines.

· Celtic Crown, 4301 N. Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60618 (map)

· Diag Bar & Grill, 2856 N. Southport Ave, Chicago, IL 60657 (map)

· Rockit Bar & Grill, 22 W. Hubbard St., Chicago, IL 60654 (map)

· WestEnd, 1326 W. Madison St., Chicago, IL 60607 (map)

Be sure to post your pictures, check-in, tag us onFacebook,Twitter, andInstagram, and use the hashtag #ChicaGoBlue each time you visit one of our Sponsor Bars.

For those outside of the Chicago area, here is a full listing of all alumni club sponsored game watching events.

That baseball game better fckin finish by 4:00 on Saturday. Out of all the things to interrupt my Michigan, it better not be a baseball game I could give 2 shits about...

Just don't go to Duffy's or 50/50 (or any other "Michigan" bars not listed in the OP) - they don't support the scholarship fund and the ones above do!

Go Blue!

God why didn't I check here before the Cincinnati game?

We had an evening OHare flight to catch and drive most of the way the night before. We didn't want to go into the city to the bars listed via the Alumni page, and didn't know any suburb bars. So we just stayed down in Hammond, IN at the Buffalo Wild Wings. They had no idea what channel it was on, wouldn't give us sound, repeatedly changed the channel without asking, etc.

Lived in NW Indiana for several years in late 2000s (about 10 miles south of Gary). Tried to find a good bar to watch UM games, but best options ended up being BWWs. For CFB, that place is mostly ND fans with a smattering of Purdue. Funny as hell when RR was still able to beat ND despite not doing well otherwise.

Not sure if you're discussing JUST suburb Michigan bars, but don't forget about Duffy's.

Went there for a few hours before the Northwestern game back in Hoke's first year. Awesome, awesome place.
