a terrible blight on our fine country
OT: Friday Night Open Thread (What are you drinking?)
sixteen ounce cans today. I'm a big fan of moving to cans, but having a pounder of Torpedo is a foreign concept, at least to me.
Torpedo IPA cans are awesome. Buy em
Blind taste tests with these vs. Same in the bottle, and the cans have won 100% of the time.
I will definitely be trying the cans soon.
greatly superior when it comes to taste or longevity, I just think it's odd that there are 16oz cans of highly rated beer now.
Well done, very well done.
Found some of this at a store in nearby Belleville. Always a classic, not easy to get in some places in Metro Detroit. Bought enough to celebrate Father's Day too.
Did you get the light (naturtrub) or the dark (dunkel)?
They only had the Naturtrub. I was actually sort of disappointed - the Dunkelweizen is really good and I would have preferred a smattering of both.
Ahh, I just got some Dunkel at Morgan & York in A2. Of course, Metzger's has it all on tap too.
1/2 % milk... you know the hard stuff!
I've never posted on one of the Friday Night threads, as though I love UM sports, I'm afraid I'm a tad older than most.
I'm simply enjoying a glass of red wine, watching BBC's "Sherlock" with my wife and kids. Middle-aged contentment.
Rough end to a rough day - I had to come in on a vacation day because no one else knew how to close the files we have been working on for the past few months. To drown my sorrows I chose Busch, I guess because it seemd poetically apt.
Ah well, I may make it a night on the town and make some bad decisions later.
Busch light here, 30 pack on sale for $13.99.
Weihenstephaner Original and Shiner Ruby Redbird.
Presidente from the Dominican and possibly some beer from Tasmania my fiancé bought. Hooray for "Beers of the World", wish there was one in Michigan.
Pontius Road Pilsner from Short's Brewery. First time I've had it -- thoughts?
Holy shit...I am doing the exact same thing as you! Except I'm with this really lame guy so I could probably use some more booze.
Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale. Just finished watching Tiger finish round 2 at the top of the leader board.
Getting married tomorrow. Figured five Bud Lights on Lake St. Clair this afternoon was adequate. No hangover for me.
Congrats on the wedding
But you should have drank more to make sure you were ready and primed for more drinking tomorrow night. Always prime the pump.
Sam Adams Porch Rocker. Its pretty close to Summer Shandy, maybe not quite as lemony.
Captain n' Coke, followed by a Summer Shandy at Blue Lep.
Otherwise playing Call of Duty, catching up on Suits and Burn Notice and probably reading Great Expectations too.
Rotator Spiced IPA, Portland OR
Harp lager and flipping between Nats and Tigers.
Prune juice ... it's the only reasonable way to chase a bunch of Philly cheesesteak sandwiches.
Lagunitas Undercover Investigation Shutdown. I buy any Lagunitas that I haven't had before, and this one doesn't disappoint.
BONUS: 9.8% ABV
double post. guess this means I need to double fist on the beers.
Working hour 13 of a 15 hour day. On tap? Whatever's most cold.
for the next 3 1/2 years...
1 month 22 days until I can legally post in these threads...
Drinking lots of high life and trying to figure out where to move since they just sold our rental house to some fat kid. Wouldn't be so bad if they didn't lie when they said they were only selling it to an investor who for rentals and I wasn't getting married in a week. At least I will be in Antigua in littlle over a week!
half acre brewery (chicago, il) - gossamar ale - from a growler. If any of you are on the northwest side check them out - great stuff.
Summer Shandy with dinner (marinated venison wrapped over some sort of spinach-mozzarella-spice-concoction), and now on to a bit of Crown Royal.
Had some Atwater Brewing Voodoo Vator. It was on special at a local bar. Very delicious beer!
Mixing Stella and Guinness, whatever that's called.
Yeah, not sure it's greater than the sum of its parts. Very expensive failed experiment.
Regretting that I didn't go to the opening of the Ann Arbor Summer Festival.
Trying cold approach pickup in the marina district, completely sober. Seperates men from boys... wish me luck.
If i still drank, hendricks gin. Relaxed to death with that poison
I am enjoying some apple juice after viewing Prometheus for the fourth time.
Went from Coors Light at the Nats game to Svedka at home
I'm pouring shots of lighter fluid for all of my friends in this cigar bar.
Drinking a Mountain Dew slurpee. Just got home from laser tag. I'm not 30 quite yet, God damn it.
Drinking Pure Hoppiness from Alpine. Delightful.
On the rocks
