Would love to have an updated chat with the "ZOMG THE REDSKINS GAVE UP TOO MANY DRAFT PICKS !!!111!!!1" crowd.  And yes there were many of you LMAO...

DC

Washington, DC - Kevin Durant, Elgin Baylor, Sugar Ray Leonard

Well

As we learned from the Ocho Cinco/Evelyn Lozada incident...

These aggressive women don't like it too much when met with equal aggression by men.

I wasn't there I can't say he was right or wrong.

But as others have mentioned, an olympic athlete getting out of shape over being pushed is pretty lame.  And for those who advocate gender equity... I would assert that this is an instance in which gender equity should be applied and this man should be looked at no differently than a woman who would have done a similar thing...

Pretty lame of her to take it to the media... but she's a loudmouth that's what she does.  It's a shame that with all her success she can't be a better ambassador for soccer and women's athletics.  I wouldn't waste my time talking to such a person let alone arguing with them.

Michigan Means

I'm not from Michigan... So Michigan means something different to me and my family... It's not a family tradition to go to Michigan or anything and I didn't grow up watching Michigan.  (I simply wanted to go to the best damn public university in the best damn country on the planet.)

My Michigan Degree means somebody from my family made it.

In the community where I come from it's even bigger.  It means somebody from our community made it, and somebody from my high school made it.

I come from a school where we have far more dropouts than college bound kids and probably even more students incarcerated each year than college bound kids.  My Michigan degree means a lot here.

I've even gone back to my school to speak to the student body about goals and potential and am involved in the football program mentoring young men and steering them toward college.

I don't know of any other Michigan alumns in my area (although I know there are thousands).  So I typically watch the games by myself in the privacy of my home.  Sometimes over at a buddy of mine from Michigan's house (he's from Traverse City we went to Law School together).

There's a lady in my church who went to State oddly enough.  I'm looking forward to giving her the blues when we beat Sparty this season lol.

The chick to his right...

Chick to his right is super hot...

If that's his piece he's winning.

Quoted wrong post...

My bad

Slightly related

I was in the choir that got to sing the national anthem at that Lions/Redskins game in DC.  It was a good time.  Pat O'Brien was the coolest dude in the world.  Herman Moore wouldn't shake my hand after the game because I was heckling him during the game.  I was maybe 8 years old... lol

hahahaha

hahahaha

I see the point you're

I see the point you're making.

But at the same time that's a more specific statement than Mora made.  He didn't single out any one school by saying that his school is safe.

Sure USC is their rival... But he could have been talking about Temple.

I still don't see it as negative recruiting.  By that logic he could say we have a beautiful southern california climate and be accused of throwing shade at Michigan.

Boxing was my first love and

Boxing was my first love and I did it for over a decade.  I watch almost every ppv event and friday and tuesday night fights.  That being said I've watched maybe 10 minutes of olympic boxing.  It's just not legit.

Great now my lakers fan

Great now my lakers fan friends will be even more insufferable lol

I don't see anything wrong

I don't see anything wrong with what he said.  For one he didn't name names of any other schools according to what I read.

Also he's right... UCLA's campus is beautiful and in a great part of town.  I almost went there instead of Michigan.

Last but not least... What's wrong with talking about campus safety?  I know it's an issue for a lot of undergrads and their parents with regard to school choices.  What's so different about a coach bringing it up?

I don't think it's that

I don't think it's that because I've had numerous upvoted posts etc.  But maybe you're on to something.

Who is downvoting a post that

Who is downvoting a post that doesn't see a problem with kids getting help attending college?

There are some wierdos on the internet boy I tell ya...

I see no problem with helping

Fail. :(

I see no problem with helping

I see no problem with helping a kid attend college and pursue college athletics.  It may seem shady or unfair... but realistically so are the societal issues and disadvantages that a lot of kids face. (Not saying that's the case here.

But at the end of the day another kid going to school and playing college ball is good for the student and essentially harms no one else.

Denard winning the Heisman

Denard winning the Heisman and breaking the NCAA rushing record are what I really want for this year.  A win against Alabama Ohio and Lil Bro would be nice as well.

Don't know what the keys are... maybe making sure our WR's come down with arm punts consistently

Well

I wish his NFL dreams could have come true for him.

But as someone else said, working with young people is one of the most rewarding things a person can do.  He gets to work with them and in a sport he loves.  That's not a bad position at all.

I'm glad he landed somewhere so quickly and I hope he uses this spot as a stepping stone (or career if he'd like) toward doing whatever it is he wants to do in life.

Best of luck Kevin!

I'll just leave this

I'll just leave this here:

You mean Saturday afternoons?

I might be the minority but I think they're cool.  I think kids will like them.

But then again we played our high school football games on saturday afternoons so what do I know.

I have to agree with this

I have to agree with this good gentleman.  I do feel like services such as Takeout Taxi are a ripoff so I avoid them.

But when I'm too lazy to go to the store I'm grateful that I live in the best damn country in the universe and that I can make one phone call and have a tasty and hot meal brought to my front door.  Amazing.

My only complaint with delivery is when I lived in an apartment building where you had to come down to the lobby.  If I wanted to exit my actual private space I would have just walked across the street to the carryout joint.

But all of the above is besides the point.  I think on a 20 dollar order 5 bucks is cool.

At the end of the day I would probably spend the extra 3.25 on bullshit anyway.  I'd rather the other dude have it for his trouble.

License plates

Several states have them.  I know Virginia is one.  Just FYI

Herm

Herm -1 for implying she could possibly be qualified

+1 for your knock on pink clothing on the field of play

I'm happy for her.  I think

I'm happy for her.  I think it's a great idea.  Long overdue.  Now if you'll excuse me gentlemen, I have to fix my wife a brandy and iron her panties for work tomorrow.

No

No ring for either.

But then again I didn't attend the graduation ceremony either.  Just mail me the diploma.

Boxed under Sugar Ray Leonard

Boxed under Sugar Ray Leonard as a kid and thought I'd go pro up until maybe 16.  Started HB jr. year on a team with 3 future NFL players. Fastest 4x400 time in the nation at Penn Relays sr year but wasn't the fastest on the team by far.  Recruited by D1 for football and baseball only UMD for baseball and not great schools for football (including tulane when Rich Rod was there.)  Represented U of M in boxing several times (but it was governed by the NCBA not the NCAA after the NCAA dropped boxing).  Won IM flag football in law school (lol) Wanted to do MMA after school but too many injuries and other demands on time.

lol

lol

Don't Quote Me

Don't quote me on this cuz I could be mistaken but I read somewhere he was hooping out in Vegas

Well let me be honest lol

Alone playing NCAA 13 drinking Svedka... that I put in a Ciroc bottle

That I have kept for months... and routinely fill with Svedka... I offer it to my clients when I have meetings (usually 1-2 a day) Until they can prove to me that they can tell somethings up I shall continue on this path lol

I learned this as a teenager when we used to fill Remy Martin bottles with Paul Masson for the "ladies" who fancied themselves cognac drinkers lmao

Pic Related:It's me enjoying a swig of Svedka.

I see your neg and raise you

I see your neg and raise you an upvote

I would also have to

I would also have to disagree.

The majority of the accolades listed for Frazier there are team accolades not measures of individual running skill.  Also, Frazier played on the mid 90's Nebraska teams that are among the best in history running behind one of if not the greatest offensive line of all time.

Being on a winning team isn't a tell-all indicator of personal skill.  (Juwan Howard got a ring this year and Kevin Durant didn't)  Barry Sanders... a great individual football player... was on some miserable Lions teams.

I'm not saying TF was a slouch by any stretch of the imagination.  Probably top 5 running qb material.

But that being said... In 2010 Denard rushed for 1700 yards... nearly as many as TF rushed for in his career.

Denard also has physical skills that TF (while great) didn't. (i.e. dilithium) Denard runs a 4.3. That's elite speed for a QB.  Frazier only ran a 4.5.  Also, Denard's highlights show lateral quickness and agility at a level that I don't see when I watch Frazier's to compare.

Can't wait until NCAA 2018

Can't wait until NCAA 2018 when I can argue against virtual people that Shane Morris is the best QB in the game lol

Yeah

I agree Pat White should have been included but the people on the internets whom I'm arguing against didn't mention his name until like page 7... I went with the original guys they brought up.

LMAO at me arguing on the internet...

A lot of music/athletes for me

I work in the entertainment industry on the hip hop side of the map I've met a lot of people:

Musicians: Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Ciara, Sean Kingston, T.I,, Ludacris, Jeezy etc

Pornstars/Strippers: Roxy Reynolds, Kelly Starr, Melrose Foxxx, Blac Chyna etc

Athletes: Melo, Shaq, Lavarr Arrington, Nolan Smith, Bradon Jennings, Steph Curry etc

Many of these were in music studios, some were at clubs/parties, some were at concerts and some were at peoples houses or whatnot.  A lot of my stories don't qualify as they were in the person's natural setting but a lot of them were other places too.

One of my favorite stories is regarding country singer Mindy Mcready though.  If you don't know her she's lived a colorful life that you can read about per the google.  Anyway I was in Atlanta and although we primarily do hip hop she was mounting a comeback and looking for different producers to work with.  She had flown private down to Atlanta with some male country star who she was with (dating I don't know)  So we were working or whatever and her entourage was enjoying some Jaegar (sp)?  Then the conversation turned to marijuana and her male friend wanted to roll a "J" so somebody gave him some and he tried and it was an awful job and everyone including Mindy was laughing.  The festivities had continued.  Anyway when we work with females we try to make the situation comfortable for them.  This was especially the case with an older white lady so we had lit some candles around the room or whatever.  Well at one point Mindy's innebriated firend leaned over to say something to someone and I guess didn't notice the candle.  He also didn't notice that the bottom corner of his untucked white dress shirt had caught on fire.  The fire proceeded up the shirt a little ways and people were shouting to alert him.  Eventually some water was found and the flames were doused but it was a funny 15 seconds or so.  They ended up leaving a while later flying out to some other city because someone needed some pills or something and never finished the song we were working on.  It was dissapointing that they flew out with the work undone because we weren't going to get paid but then we heard they also flew out on Kanye a few days earlier.  It was shortly thereafter that Mindy appeared on the show Celebrity Rehab.  Cool Story Bro and super long I know and I even left out a lot.  Anyway I ain't one to gossip so you ain't heard it from me.

When I used to box I had a

When I used to box I had a fight in Vegas I once sat next to Chuck Daily on a flight out there from Detroit.

Went from Coors Light at the Nats game to Svedka at home

#NATS

Went to the Nats/Yankees game with a buddy of mine (Yankees fan)  It was crazy how many Yankee fans were in DC for the game... "Let's go Jeter" was an audible chant...

I'm chuckling at the fact

I'm chuckling at the fact that this guy's profession is apparently "Web Marketing..."

Personally... I love it...

Personally... I love it... Standing up for one another is great... and the bring a whole fuckin army attitude is great.  The games are meaningful enough but I love the extra fuel to the fire!

I grew up in DC in the ghetto

I grew up in DC in the ghetto in the 80's where PCP aka Love Boat was a very popular drug sadly stuff like this happened all the time they also called it Buck Nekkid because the user would always strip their clothes off and act crazy.  There was an incident when I was a kid where an officer shot a suspect's whole chest out with a close range shotgun blast and the suspect still managed to fire a handgun and kill another officer and a pedestrian with basically no torso to speak of.  It's nasty stuff but nothing new.

I almost made a new post for

I almost made a new post for this but I had a job interview today and the interviewers husband went to Michigan she asked me if I'm into Michigan sports and I said yes there's a blog I'm on all the time and she said mgoblog?? Wow small world

Sidebar what a wonderful lady

Good for Austin.  Wish him

Good for Austin.  Wish him the best.

There's nothing wrong with

There's nothing wrong with the way we teach, practice, or play the game.  It is the nature of the game itself.  Players years ago may not have known the risk of traumatic brain injuries but from here on out we are all on notice: football is a violent sport.  You risk head injury if you play.

Sad that your post got

Sad that your post got moderated. The devil is really using some people on this board. As much petty stuff as you guys argue about I can't believe an insult to so many people's faith is being allowed to stand. It makes no difference if it's a reference to another person's inappropriate joke or not. It has no place here or anywhere else.

Praying for a positive

I'm thinking most people's reaction to the post might just be sour grapes because Cousins beat us so many times... But sorry he's 1,000,000x more relevant to Michigan sports than anything Manchester related etc.  Anyone who pretends not to see that is just... a message board person I guess.

Thank you kind sir.

Thank you kind sir.

When I made the post initially I thought people would listen in or not...

Certainly didn't anticipate 2,000 odd views and 50 some posts. Something about time on hands and whatnot.

But thanks again for the vote of confidence!

See above.

Point taken.  In fairness I

Point taken.  In fairness I only care because I listen to this radio program every morning and he happens to be on this morning.  I'm not on Cousins watch.  But, considering the amount of press he gets on the site, "Coupons" the Cousins Memee etc.  I figured it would be harmless to share particularly compared to the "I dread mondays" and "Help me find an apartment" posts.  At least the guy is an actual football player.
